  1. Only issue is that HOU is kind of handing something pretty amazing to MIA. They'll be a perennial contender in the AFC for some time, sure not the same division, but that's just a sweet prize to trade inter-conference. They have the cap, and will worst case a mid-round 1st for the next few years w/Watson. With the Jets, they've got the young gun coach, but again, inter-conference. And what do they really have to give outside first rounders? Quinnen Williams? If the Texans were smart, they need to be targeting a proven talent to pair with these picks.
  2. Hmm. Hmmmmmmm. If Slate & Sewell are off the board, that's a juicy as hell scenario. Hmmmm
  3. Wonder if SF would throw Solomon Thomas in to sweeten the pot. They've got a formidable front w/Armstead, Kinlaw, & DJ-J even without him. I have to think players are in the cards beyond draft picks for any of these potential destinations.
  4. At least TJ Ward is gone. He wanted to end Cam on 2 occasions. I respect Von. Still can't even think about 15/16. Especially bc that's when I actually lived in that town. Football+locale wise, SF & MIA seem like the top. In the NFC, good teams on the upswing, young coaches, great towns. LAR & CAR are the wildcards.
  5. Well they are very good at executing terrible plans so maybe it's in the cards!
  6. Yeah, I'd be dipping to the Bahamas all the time. It makes sense why it's such a magnet. I'd take my yacht to a different island every few weeks in the Caribbean and then have a spot to fly to during hurricane season.
  7. Depends on how we're classifying young and the part of New York haha. I'd go for Soho/Tribeca or Upper East side in a heartbeat. Maybe near the High Line. I'd personally love going for the high end city vibe, but non-party life. That's why I'm all about the West Loop here in Chi-town.
  8. Yeah, I'm eyeing a 3 day stay at the Standard Miami for my gals bday in the Spring. Miami is pretty dope. I just hate Florida overall but Miami is hard to beat in many respects.
  9. Evergreen is pretty ideal. If I moved back would avoid Denver like the plague but love Colorado. I was in RiNo/Ballpark for 3 years. MAYBE consider the Wash Park or Highlands. Fort Collins & Summit County are even crazy these days. Just too much traffic without a proper pedestrian oriented city feel but if I had the dough, would go for Evergreen and a spot at Beaver Creek or near Breck.
  10. The nice appeal with Charlotte is the proximity to lakes & the mountains. Having lived in Charlotte, DC, San Diego/Encinitas, Denver, & Chicago, I'm torn but I just wouldn't know where to buy in Charlotte these days. Maybe Dilworth/SE? Wouldn't want to be too close to South Park or south Charlotte i.e.. near 51/matthews/pineville. Lake Norman annoys me. I'm an architect so am mega picky and kind of a prude about this haha.
  11. If I'm looking across the league, QB issues aside, city wise, I'd want: NYC (Tribeca, Hudson, or in Manhattan, find a top notch penthouse, then a T-Swift Folklore type-cabin upstate) Miami (Ocean front home, it's Miami, but I'm in Florida. Mixed feelings) LAR (Live near Rivers and Brees in North County SD, I hate LA proper minus a few spots like Highland Park/Silverlake. Maybe get a spot in Malibu or down near Laguna/Dana Point) Arizona (I'd get an estate outside of Flagstaff/San Fran Peaks and heli down to Phoenix, maybe grab a nice house outside of Phoenix as well for accessibility) SF/SEA (Great cities, weather is hit/miss but they're great spots to live. I'd get something a bit on the outskirts) Chicago (I'd go for an amazing condo in West Loop and a brownstone in Gold Coast/Oldtown triangle, lakehouse in northern Wisconsin) -- Charlotte is nice and all but I'd have no interest in living there. Hell no to ATL. I'm thinking SF & NYC are the top choices here.
  12. Very valid points and I was in the same boat about the NYJ. Without an allegiance to NYC, I'd prefer the NYG but we know DG isn't making that transaction haha. He'll continue to sputter with his boy Daniel.
  13. I think he's great at fundamentals but tends to make a few obvious bad decisions that outweigh all the good. He can't get out of his own way. A bit like Rivera but less archaic in philosophy.
  14. Rams are a low key great spot for Watson. The Goff situation has quietly been falling apart and they're trying to rid themselves of that contract. He looked really bad this past season. Don't know what's going on there.
  15. Yeah, I just overall find this interesting considering the no trade clause, in large part because Watson has much say (possibly even more) that the Texans at this point which is rare as hell in the NFL. That's why this perspective is important to consider.
  16. I fully expect to be berated with the "another Watson thread" jargon but I'm genuinely interested to see what people think. And this is a reason why I really do feel we're a very probable spot, so it's going to be a wild few weeks folks. For me?: 1. Miami Dolphins: They have a fantastic looking defense that can get me the ball in good spots, a young promising OL, and a future stud TE in Mikey G. Not to mention a very exciting young head coach. Solid situation. 2. San Fransisco 49ers: They've proven they can compete with the best even with meh QB play. A defense with star talent, one of the more QB friendly HCs in the league, and a cornerstone NFL organization. Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, Wilson Jr. is a very solid offensive group. 3. Carolina Panthers: Close to home but not entirely, a promising young HC, great talent sprinkled throughout (CMC, DJ, Burns, Chinn), a franchise on the upswing, good street word on team culture. (Don't underestimate the word on the street about Rhule). Also, CMC, Anderson, DJ? I'd def want to mingle with that crew. 4. Chicago Bears: I mean, if I were a player, I'd want to be a Chicago Bear. The legacy, Soldier Field, city, all of the above. Nagy seems like a decent coach, but most importantly has kept them afloat with god awful QB play. Even a 12-4 season a few years back. Great defense, and then Montgomery, Anthony Miller, Allen Robinson, Mooney, Kmet...that could make for some exciting games. 5. Denver Broncos: Low key have the most promising WR corps in the NFL. Fangio & that team should take a substantial leap this coming season, especially if they can get the defense rolling a bit more like it's 2015.
  17. They have the assets, are on the upswing, great defense, a legit young TE & OL...and a trade history w/HOU. An ideal setup makes it seem almost too good to happen. NYJ are another dumpster fire, doubt Watson wants that, and this is the rare NFL scenario where the player has say with the No trade clause. Bias aside, looking around the league, I think the 49ers, Panthers & Dolphins are the young teams, with exciting coaches, promising foundations, that I'd be interested in if I were a top QB on the trade market. Maybe Chicago. NYJ? DEN? ATL? DET? PHI? WFT? Hell no.
  18. TIM BOYLE beat him out for the #2 folks, he's a bust. Given that and from what I heard about him in camp, hard pass.
  19. I think that's an incentive to seek a 2nd rounder from HOU in 2022 or 2023 if we're going in on this. They're going to be baaaad and that pick might as well be #33-39. If it takes (3) 1st rounders, then they should throw in a 2022 2nd.
  20. If we're high on his list, I wonder what guy we have to ship to HOU could put the trade over for the Texans. They have needs all over. I would make Shaq available in this. 2021 1st 2021 3rd 2022 1st 2024 1st (We keep 2023) Shaq Thompson Pot sweetener: Donte Jackson -- We send Teddy off in another manner/form. We get: Deshaun Watson 2022 2nd (They're going to be awful, this could easily be the 33-39th pick, same as a late first)
  21. I mean, he has great upside but there were questions about both his agent choice and the true reason for the opt out. The one we better stay far away from is Kellen Mond. He's just not an NFL QB.
  22. I could absolutely see Stafford in SF. The need combined with his fit and their draft position is almost too good.

    Living in sin

It's more common than not these days. I'm taking the plunge in 2 months although it's hard to beat my bachelor pad in Chi-town.
  24. If we're talking teams on the cusp/playoff ready without a QB, then you look to LAR, Indy & NO. There's no way in hell they're shipping him to Chicago. Otherwise, we're in a much better spot than WFT, Philly, NE, HOU, DEN. Though if I had to guess, think Denver gets him at the end of the day. He's very much the type they look for.
