He could also just be playing. It's in his story right now; may just be stirring the pot

Brian Burns is posting nature videos of rams on his IG today...so there's that

They interestingly only have ~200k in space. So this allows them to take on the 1.2ish CMC is owed.. If I'm the Chiefs, I'm done experimenting with second rate RBs for Pat. They have (2) 4th and (3) 6ths in 2023. Maybe maybe maybe

McCoy as well. CMC in KC with Mahomes, that would be ridiculous. Could the AFC contenders are in a bidding war...? If we manage a 1st, I'd be VERY impressed with the finesse.

What I'd like to see for the rest of the year
davos replied to Peon Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would like an overly aggressive pass heavy offense. INTs be damned, get Eason out there an have him air it out to Shi, TMJ, Saunders, etc. and see who sticks. re: the CMC argument, I'm leaning on the trade train mostly because of where will he be in his career by the time we get the new HC, QB and are ready to compete. Realistically, 2024 would be the year to be in compete mode. But by then, he'll be 28 y/o with a lot of mileage. What are realistically doing with him? I say, get something while you can. He's not someone putting us over the top on offense. He could be that for a contender right now though...so maybe a good deal comes calling. -
Sounds like Scott Fitterer will continue as Panthers GM in '23

Scooped up Wooten from Auburn off AZ's PS not too long ago -

Wooten is a 22’ UDFA SEC LB that was on the bubble for them after a solid preseason. Honestly, good snatch, the open slot essentially makes this a Wooten/24 6th, 25 7th comp for Anderson. That being the case if Wooten kicks one of the scrubs off the bottom. -
Do you think Tepper promised Wilks the permanent job if he loses out?

Was venom really just the longest running alt here and it was proudiddy all along? -

The pacing between paddle hits makes it sound like as bad of a performance as our offense.- 40 replies

Just make Eason our QB. It's not like we do anything special anyone even needs to learn. There's no system to acclimate into, it's just all hand offs, screen dumps, flats, and corners.
-
I saw someone float the idea of the Ravens getting CMC which would be a rather interesting team. They've often been mentioned/rumored for DJ, but Lamar & McCaffrey with that screen game of theirs would be scurrry. Just look what ole' Kenyon Drake was able to do, and then imagine CMC there. They'd give BUF a run for their money.
-
I've honestly grown to like Jackson. He improved his tackling drastically these past few seasons. I think we stay put but there could be a sleeper AFC team for CMC methinks.
-
I do think we could cave to a team offering (2) 2nd rounders for CMC (or a 1st that's maybe a 2024-25' pick) Just don't think anyone is going to give us an offer we can't refuse for him including a first in 2023.
-
Who do we see as being the next to punch their ticket out of this lovely completely not-awful situation? Options: No one, this was an obvious move, but should probably hold on to the big names/core talent CMC (I'm sure him and Olivia would love LA or Miami) Shaq Thompson Brian Burns (Contract year, no new deal yet--core piece?) Ben McAdoo via firing or he just decides to stay home and doesn't come back DJ Moore Other, explain
-
Yeah a bit different than their past QBs. He's been moving around in the pocket, but is strictly passing. And he goes through his progressions very quickly and smoothly. Smart and a very fluid processor.
-
No extra 2023s but an extra 24' 6th and 25' 7th is just fine.
-
Yep, of the 21 ish cap hit, we eat 9.8 of it (the prorrated bonus), but get 12 mil in savings. So 12 mil more to spend next year but 9.8 of our 2023 cap is to Anderson in AZ. I think that's the jist...*think
-
McAdoo didn't give a sh*t. He just wanted to wrap it up as soon as it started.
-
Luol Deng him or trade him.

There's things to like about some of these others (I.E. McCall, Penix, Rogers, Duggan, etc.), buuut if I'm being honest, I just don't want to get excited the dudes that aren't at the top of this draft class. I'd be really interested to see who the NFL scouting rooms think are R1 caliber right now.

Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
davos replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm really impressed with his gameplans and how they've varied opponent to opponent. You don't see the same Eagles each week, he just uses his pieces to create mismatches and generate points however possible, opponent dependent. With him now out of LA, Chargers are something like 29th in clean pocket DVOA. Also just really appreciate the track record with Herbert and Hurts. Dorsey would be a fun reunion. Will also be interesting to see how Ben Johnson responds to their last dud game once back from the bye. -

I couldn't tell if our own coaches or the refs wanted us to lose more yesterday.
