  1. Well that happened with Tepper Hurney is the ultimate Dwight Schrute of the NFL, except he didn't become likeable over time.
  2. Fun context--players on the Panthers with more guaranteed cash than some guy named Ian Thomas: CMC DJ Moore Taylor Moton The Sam Darnold & Robbie Anderson sh*tpile We've prioritized Ian Thomas that much. This is unjustifiable and flat out stupid.
  3. We already overpaid this shmuck who this staff had pegged as our TE2 on the depth chart going into last year top-12 TE in the NFL salary. It is simply insane. They had him behind Dan Arnold and were so uncertain at TE kept 5 of them. This simply adds on that in that already incompetent decision, they knew he had multiple pending legal charges and was a straight up loser on the field who shrivels up mid-play. Like what in the f*ck is going on? Ian Thomas? Ian f*cking Thomas?
  4. I'm still more baffled that he's taking up over $6 mil of next years cap when we had Reddick, Gilmore, & Jackson to work with. Such weird priorities going so quickly to PJ Walker and Ian Thomas of all people this offseason. Same deal like last year prioritizing and signing Erving and Elflein immediately with the entire FA market still to be worked out. Nothing makes sense with these guys.
  5. Good grief. Our situation is so bad and out in the open. Why was this allowed?
  6. I get Tepper wants to run his own show but I’m still surprised he didn’t bring on at least one guy that is NFL savvy to ease his transition into ownership and hiring the right people. It didn’t even need to be a full time hire or committee. Just a guide, NFL shaman
  7. Honestly, if the top tackles are gone, Willis needs to be the pick. Bust or not, the upside is beyond anything you get from these other spots.
  8. When you're so transparently desparate, you're going to get worked on with every contract. Tepper and Rhule are continuously shooting themselves in the foot trying to build this team. Think it's why Tepper has obviously stopped saying anything publicly but strangely letting Rhule run this into the ground. Our offseason strategy: Wasting an offseason
  9. I strangely expect us to and it will be the same weird feeling as after the Horn pick. People will try to rationalize for some weeks and eventually get hyped but ultimately feel uneasy about the selection given other needs.
  10. The weird thing is you can easily find this value at the END of FA for far less/vet min and have your focused large chunks dedicated to building the OL if we need to outbid others. We just lost a cool $5m towards the FA OL build. Like how can you justify this?
  11. This is really beyond. Like no one has done anything much league wise yet and we just dished out $6 mil in house to our 2nd string (at best) TE. An absolute joke. Fire Rhule, fire Fit, get them all the hell out of that building
  12. It’s beyond comical at this point. This is a f*cking joke of a team. I’m nearing the tipping point for staying active for the offseason.
  13. Sam Darnold extension incoming. I now imagine we’ll be re-signing John Miller.
  14. I can’t believe how much of a waste this is. We just traded up for Tremble in the 3rd to be our TE. He looked great at blocking and catching, honestly every time he came in. This is just stupid no matter how you spin it. Ian provides us with nothing you can’t get from off the street.
  15. You said it well. All of this has nothing to do with fan-to-fan comparisons that some try to bring up. It's simply been driven to the point of supreme apathy with a pattern that's gone down since the SB loss. And why is it worse than past lulls? Mainly because this new owner may stick with these guys at the helm and the first years with him are leaving quite the fowl impression on everyone honestly. It's painful indeed, the initial impression of Tepper does not match what has set in. I don't think he owes us anything necessarily, he bought the team, can do what he wants, but there's definitely a rift/interest loss developing. And now, we've got an awful full-control HC (which we've never truly had) while the fans have been wanting a good GM for pretty much our entire existence. So now, we are in need of: A GM, HC, QB, OL. Not to mention, this defense we built and overly focused on (that is still pretty questionable) will only get older and we may lose good ones going into second and third contracts. It's also just a boring product that has been stripped of the few cool rituals and proprietary elements the fans/players created (i.e. Keep Pounding, etc.). No cool tweaks to unis, no real adds to the experience. We've got a DE who likes Spiderman and a perpetually injured overpaid football-fam f*ckboy at RB. Yay. The only real marketed push for interest is the new training facility in SC and a solid social media team. In the past, we knew JR was playing the game with the new CBA & we weren't trying to win in 2010/11. Fox never had a putrid season until that year. Sure, frustrating, but that at least was this weird tanktahon Fox-sendoff with zero talent where we saw it for what it was. We're currently lost in the woods. Also--2010 was worse than 2001 IMO, but as I said, the light was at the end of the tunnel in both cases. So, now, we're having this weird easing-into-new-ownership period, leaving an iffy impression, and stripped a lot of fun things about the experience and all. Meanwhile, a coach who keeps flailing and looking rather embarrassing league-wide. They seem comfortable constantly running around like chickens with their heads cut off, having one of the leakiest offices in the league, and physically looking like de-shuffled messes. And that's where we are and why no one gives a sh*t. And fans are falling off, bandwagon or not, fans are falling off and it's never good. This whole "real fan" bs is stupid.
  16. Why is Tepper willingly embarrassing himself to this degree? It really is awful to be a fan right now. I can’t imagine many players will want to come here. Drafted or FA. We got the litter of the coaching barrel (partially retired & recently fired) and really nothing to speak of other than Chinn (who they don’t use correctly), Burns (sack artist) and DJ. This team sucks.
  17. He could easily be there IMO. Jax goes Ekwonu/Neal, Detroit goes Aiden (they could be a wildcard as well), Kyle Hamilton & Stingley are arguably the best prospects in the draft and better fit NYJ and HOU needs, and another OL Neal/Cross or Pickett trade up at 5. Then we're sitting there with Thib & Willis to pick from.
  18. Pretty par for the course. Drafted the runner up DROY who has 26 career sacks and then nothing else.
  19. First and foremost, we’re going to keep swinging and missing on the better QBs. This would happen after that all fails. My guess is we’ll be staring at either signing a freshly released Wentz or drafting Pickett/Willis. Hell, I’d take a Nick Mullens and CJ Beathard over Mitch.
