Having 3 competent linemen would help BC and Elf or whoever is out there. Would be nice to land a Bozeman, Karras, Laken, or Corbett. Unsure about Norwell. I don’t really think BC is some long term answer. I know we want him to be but it may just not be the case. Potentially great backup/serviceable starter at times.

The whole “fanbase is worse” shtick is super frustrating. Tends to be an echo chamber about how much they dislike other fan’s views of the team. Yep, the very thing they’re saying they don’t want to do. So don’t discuss the bad things about the team or the good. Just about how much we dislike those saying the bad. Like, you’re wasting your own time if you’re being honest.

…with a new coach haha

Willis could be good but I’m looking at how we could build a juggernaut offense the quickest and want potential superstars. I see fun and a decent starter with Willis but not top-12 QB by the end of his rookie contract (which is what you want in the 1st, a playoff caliber QB in his rookie deal) This draft has Wilson as the best weapon on offense that could easily be in the Kupp/Jefferson/Chase tier. And that’s what I want as much as a QB and OL. The pairing is critical. Kupp-Stafford, Chase-Burrow, Samuel ran the show in SF. Diggs and Hill. The best teams right now have the lethal WR. If we grabbed him, rest of the focus strongly on OL, suck it up enough with Wentz (my guess), then we grab Stroud/Haener/Bryce, there’s a potential juggernaut with Moore re-signed. QB - Stroud WR - Wilson & Moore RB committee new OL That’s a cool rebuild that would excite me.

If we don’t pick an OL (worst case) I’d honestly prefer Garrett Wilson over the QBs. Get Haener or Stroud next year and we could have a very promising future.

Some need to better discern Elusiveness v Mobility

You want quick, comfortable and elusive in the pocket along with the size, intangibles and play under pressure. It’s why I’d personally prefer Corral in this class but is also why there’s not much in this class. Coan still seems interesting to me. Overall, think Willis has some super fun potential. I just see such a limited ceiling with Pickett. He just seems very much in this Rex Grossman, Matt Hassleback, Matt Cassel, type realm.

Yeah, appreciated. I will say there is a smoothness to Corral's game that is like Tua's. When they're out of pocket, they have a similar feel. I don't think Matt will be as shy as Tua has been though. Can see him showing a bit more grit early on for the aggressive throws. I see a bit of Kordell Stewart in Malik if he can get the passing game down a bit more. Pickett? Kyle Orton all day.

Fair top-4. I'd have Coan or Strong over Ridder. My critique would be that I find the comparisons rather odd but overall, very nice write-ups. Willis-Murray? Pickett-Goff? Corral-Tua?? Not seeing any of those honestly.

Don't have a problem given his skillset and being a center. Do not want him at 6. Just not the right position this day in age to take when you're that high in a draft. Same would go for a OG, RB, S & LB, unless they're absolutely monsters/generational. He's not generational IMO.

2023 QBs. What I have been screaming for months now

I feel like this is the narrative every year but it’s for real this time. Stroud and Haener (especially) Haener reminds me of Peyton meets Rogers. He has all the mechanics, the arm, agility, pocket awareness, and led Fresno State to some major comebacks and wins. Crazy tough, amazing deep ball placement. He is going to rise to the top next season. This stuff never holds in place. Hell, people were saying this was going to be some magical class when we were looking at the possibility of Herbert. -
A bit larger than the reported 8” on the dot. He’s at least Mike Vick sized now and only the 4th smallest ever measured for a modern QB lol

Apparently Rhule spoke to Charlotte reporters

What’s even stranger is the stretch zone approach mainly in the gun Brady ran. It really seems like he has no idea what to do on offense and it’s all just blah blah blah -
Jeremiah: Panthers "dead set" on drafting an offensive lineman
davos replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
True. A separate point though is I’m seeing Green ranked right alongside or even higher than Tyler L in a handful of cases. Anywhere from 8-20ish on big boards. He’s an interesting one who should be discussed more. -

Surprised the hype around Green isn't as high a Linderbaum. He has the size along with the athletic+power combo. Is if not more tough as nails than the Iowa kid. Can play tackle and guard (likely long-term guard starter). Kenyon Green could the the "reach" pick -
Hopefully someone asks him what the hell we were thinking with Ian Thomas. And I hope whoever does carefully crafts that question because it could be very difficult to answer if you frame it around his performance and the fact he was out TE2 on the outs that showed pretty much nothing.

Give me your late round I hope we draft this guy sleeper pick

I'd also LOVE to take a flyer on Justyn Ross. I thought we were watching the next best thing at wideout during his freshman year title game. Recovered from one of the worst fluke injuries imagineable with a respectable year with a hyped QB that really stunk it up. Ross could still be something special and could be had in the 4th-5th.
