  1. Hill, Waddle, & Parker? Well if one thing is for sure, Tua will have no excuses if he looks iffy out there.
  2. I was really surprised at the reports that he interviewed so poorly from a maturity and knowledge standpoint but that could also be teams trying to downplay that they like him. If it’s not a smokescreen and he has neg that on top of his lack of elusiveness and injury history, he could be a 4th-5th rounder when all is said and done.
  3. There's been so many moves and whatnot it's nearly impossible to really know from our view. It sounds to be the case per the official release with latest signings adjusted: Public Salary Cap Report | NFLPA Someone said it elsewhere but we haven't kicked a ton down the road with Shaq, Moton, & CMC. It's a bit but nothing comparable to Hurney years and it won't strap us by any means. Sitting comfortably, just needing to eat this Darnold situation for 2022. Positioning ourselves to have the cap for a move, but may not make a big one if it's not the right deal. Cap wise, there's not much to worry about IMO. If anyone wants to join a cool new HC next year and a young promising squad, we'll have the moolah.
  4. He was a near consensus #1 QB going into the year before Pickett bloomed up or whatever and it was for a reason. Liked him and Strong a lot during the season, have been swayed during the offseason for various reasons but he’s got the tools. I’d be the most excited if we landed him at QB.
  5. McAdoo was unemployed when we hired him, it’s not some good hire people make it out to be simply because he’s a failed HC/once looked like a good coordinator. And regarding the crux of this being “yeah he sucks, just get over it”? Okiedokie haha
  6. The Pickett bit in there was the most interesting. On his grip/hand-size limiting his throwing motion: ”There’s something wrong with his throwing hand thumb” “he can’t spread it out all the way, he showed me” “There’s some times where I see things mechanically where I think the glove effects that throw” Those trying to shun hand size like it’s somehow equal to Ots arm length should listen to that bit. It’s really not something to play the size doesn’t matter card with. The thumb problem is also CLEARLY what he was showing McAdoo, Fit and Rhule in that meme thread. He has a weird grip and was showing them his thumb position and why he needs to grip 1-3
  7. 1/2" is a fair amount relative to hand size. It's a concern of mine but not the only. And yes, Burrow doesn't wear gloves, his hands are larger, and was sacked a bagillion times with not a ton of fumbles. He's proven it to be a non-issue for him. But it could be a problem for Pickett just like it was for Vick, I just think it could be given he wants to wear gloves. The threshold was always 9.5 for many coaches with some accepting 9. This is well below and it makes me genuinely curious how he does without gloves and an upsized ball. I'll gladly shut up if it doesn't seem to be a problem for him but hate the fact he has to wear mits and when he didn't at a slippery senior bowl practice, had slipsies with snaps and no zip.
  8. Turn your iPhone sideways, Gardner Minshew’s hands are nearly longer than Pickett’s by that width. All jokes aside, I hope the kid is throwing with no gloves and proving he can rip it. If we pick him I would love to think we’ve all been joking about a kid that can ball for us minus his limitations (which aren’t just hand size)
  9. I’m not, that point was more about how our WR room is nowhere near set or this would equate to being a luxury pick. Shi getting as much, if not a bit more room to work than Marshall was rather concerning for Marshall.
  10. Yup I see it. I’m more making the argument for Wilson and less predicting what we’ll do, which seems likely to be Pickett.
  11. My only thing is that I don’t see a guy we can truly get behind other than Moore but he’s not the type to take the top off a defense or slowly grind one into submission. Marshall was strangely MIA even at the end of last year with Shi honestly looking more promising at times. It’s a need and getting a young stud, arguably the best offensive skill player in an entire draft could really sweeten things up for a new young QB. Just imagine a young duo like Stroud and Wilson similar to what CIN has in 2 former teammates. Could be a cool tandem to lead a new era.
  12. Yup I said it lol. Time to mix it up in here with the FA momentum. Stir el conversatione. And this is not simply because we've filled a few holes on the OL. I just want playmakers at the end of the day and to elevate this offense into a powerhouse. Looking at the top squads, they've got at least 1 stud at a minimum at WR-- Adams (former-GB), Diggs (BUF), Hill (KC), Kupp (LAR), Chase/Higgins (CIN), Godwin/Evans (TB), Deebo (SF). You simply need these guys with the modern game. Furthermore, I think a lot of them elevated the QB play and SF & LAR would not have been where they were without Kupp and Deebo. And now, we've got so much success league wide with younger WRs (Jefferson, Chase, Waddle, Pittman, Claypool, etc.) Now if Ekwonu or Neal are there, I say we have to grab one they're mix of talent and need match what we need. But, if we're looking at Penning, Cross, Pickett, Willis, Walker, & Thibodaux, I'm seriously looking at Garrett Wilson as BPA, who's arguably the best offensive skill player in the entire draft. I think he's on his own tier versus the rest. London may be arguable but I see him clearly above Burks, Watson, Williams, etc. We just extended Moore, so why not add to it with a guy who's very Diggs-esque with a bit of Kupp? This would give us a top tandem for 3+ years. One on a rookie deal for likely 5-years and then Moore hitting his stride/career peak. So maybe we go the inverse Bengals model, get the top WR one year (Chase) and then the QB the next (CJ/Young/McCall/Haener/etc.)? How would we be feeling about this? I just feel like getting such a for-sure offensive weapon would really help pull us out of this offensive awfulness and if CMC last an entire season, we could actually be competitive with him, Wilson & Moore.
  13. I think they’ve made a b-line for Pickett after Watson fell through, that’s their ticket. Time to warm up to the next two-gloves.
  14. A bit of a recap on different opinions on QB and lays out the options. Mentions Minshew a few times and then Fitzpatrick randomly at the end.
  15. I’m actually game for Garrett Wilson at 6. If the line is comfortable for now, why not get the best offensive playmaker in the draft? The reverse Bengals. Get Chase first and then Burrow…Wilson and then Stroud/whoever
  16. Could go for a cheap backup OT with a side of defensive end
  17. My dream lineman signings actually happened. That’s not normal Panthers. As much as I dislike this regime, they’ve done a nice job with Corbett and Bozeman.
  18. Tepper and Rhule will stay on the DL until they draft a QB and pretend that was the plan all along. That shmuck Pickett is gonna happen ffs
  19. Don’t like Willis. Don’t like Pickett. Don’t like Corral. There are much better upgrades at 6 to build a contender. I said it elsewhere, take a stab at a mid rounder if one presents itself. Virtually no risk, high reward. Focus on the build. A FA vet is pointless. That would be a midseason pickup if let’s say Darnold stays awful and a young guy gets thrown to the wolves doesn’t work out. They become a late pickup/tank commander. Let’s call this type a Nick Mullens.
