  1. So they’re branding themselves as “The Brand” “The most competitive team in football” 10-23 in the last 2 years. No QB. Awww yeah. Dear lord, who is this marketing team of ours? Social media has been good but marketing is like parody level, generic early 00s.
  2. I'm not saying they're right or wrong. I'm saying there's a smell.
  3. Both Strong and Corral just seem to have that smell about them that this draft process has not gone in their favor. There's just a sense of off-puttance by teams with them compared to Willis, Ridder, Howell & Pickett. Hell, I've seen more promising whispers about Jack Coan and Aqeel Glass.
  4. Ouch. Is there something afoot or his injury combined with immobility really deterring teams that much?
  5. Oh now that’s an interesting comparison temperament wise.
  6. Fitterer and his old team are just driving down the price of BM and Jimmy G through their positioning with these new QBs. I could easily see that playing into what we want. Spreading word we’re not high on Baker and/or Jimmy G, get someone to trade up for Malik/Corral/Pickett, accrue picks and buy Baker on the low. Then you have a guy who has shown he can bring a team at least to the playoffs until we can find a franchise QB. Makes sense to me.
  7. I mean, he really didn't look like some stud even if they think he can play LT. He seems like an alright, serviceable guy. Long term depth swing lineman, filler LT starter. I'm all about it this way: 1. Icky Ekwonu/Charles Cross/Evan Neal 2. Trade Down (no lower than 18-20) 3. Garrett Wilson 4. Corral/Willis
  8. I honestly have no idea anymore with this QB class. I wouldn't take any of these QBs top-12 (where that QB needy team "must-grab" tier usually ends around). Corral, Pickett and Willis are more like a Mac Jones situation where maybe a team trades up if they fall far enough or a team just decides to roll with him right around pick 10-15. It just really seems like a reach with so many unknowns about them all. I'm really not a fan of any. I see the least issues with Howell, but we won't be in a place for him without moving around. There's just something off with the energy around Corral through this process. That usually means it's either teams trying to be quiet about a guy they like or there are legitimate concerns with him. I waver on the latter.
  9. I throw him ahead but in this Carson Strong batch of guys that seemingly check most boxes if you're looking at the x's and o's & from the outside, but all indicators are that they aren't viewed as highly from the side of the scouting teams and coaches. Now, whether that's a smokescreen or the reality is the big question. Are the online mockers just viewing it incorrectly or what's the deal? My instinct is telling me there was likely some pause for teams for a combo of his footwork, system & maturity. But maybe the process has opened it up and FOs view him a bit more favorably.
  10. The fact that there's been such little effort to force him out by other owners is telling that they really don't care about anything that isn't truly an NFL across the board issue. JR was a guy they knew they could push out in the wake of his scandal to open things up for Tepper who they all wanted to let into their circle next. Navarro never stood a chance. Snyder should've been forced out well before he changed the Skins/WFT into this atrocity that's name still just sounds so off.
  11. Athletic but questionable: Willis, Ridder Prototype (the T-Rex version) but is there anything special? Pickett All seems good from the outside, but why not higher? Corral, Strong Developmental/Long Shots Coan, EJ Perry, Zappe, Glass -- The one I'm missing in Howell is really the most-sound across the board. I see the least worrisome traits in his game, hard to peg down really where he falls. Had to get used to an awful line early on in his career and survived. I'm game for a Round 1 Neal/Cross/Icky selection and following it up with a modest trade up for Howell that doesn't mortgage the future.
  12. Maybe we just take advantage of picking at 6, land a top tackle in possibly Neal which would be awesome. It is possible we love Howell or Ridder and may try to target one in a trade down, but its going to be hard to pull off. So then a third option--as the third round is going on, we trade up just a bit for Howell, Strong, Coan. That capital lost would not be detrimental by any means. Could be one of our extra 5ths and a 7th to move up 15-20 spots and land a potential QB. It at least gives us someone to look forward to without losing out at the top with Rhule & Willis/Pickett/Corral/Ridder. I feel like time is due for a 3rd-4th round sleeper QB to pop. And it happens. Wilson, Cousins. Recent history hasn't been kind but maybe we find one in the most confusing QB class I've ever seen.
  13. He's going to be a stud. May not make sense for us, but I think people will look back and he'll be this one superstar out of the draft with not much else.
  14. @Jackie Lee is correct. This man is a pure grifter to his core. BS man improvising with buzzwords to the highest level of players who may still look up to him (simply because he's an NFL coach). It could actually be hard for him to fall back into a college HC gig unless it's a mid-tier conference. Getting around the country chatting with ADs is his best bet. We'll very likely be getting a new HC next year. Very strange times for the team.
  15. I could see it being someone who likes the panthers and wears hats.
  16. For the record, not defending making fun of him for being obese or whatnot. The guy just needs to sharpen things up and I hope he's staying healthy ^^ ditto ladpanther.
  17. Erhh, sure to those with ill-intent, but I also think it's simply because 2 of the largest platforms are making fun of him that people are noticing. That may have something to do with it. Whether sh*tty or not, silly or not, stupid or not. Now it's a thing.
  18. Oof For those trying to make the "I don't care/bad thread" take...the real embarrassing thing here is not that this is a thread on the Carolina Huddle. Indeed, who cares about judging thread creation. PMT has like 1.5 million listeners per episode. McAfee 1.6 mil. The two largest sports talk audiences that there are. This is the modern equivalent of him being roasted on primetime Sportscenter circa-2000. So, it's just generally embarrassing for him and the team. Jesus, this whole era is just a bunch of yuck.
  19. *McVay The distinction is how unkempt he is. Pretty easy to discern. He's getting butchered by non-fans and trending about it for a reason.
  20. I guess people have their own priorities but if I’m making that much money, I’m getting fine tuned and finely groomed, the highest quality possible. Have everything tailored to my exact inseam and chest needs. He looks like he walked out of a DSW and Macys lol I’ll sound vein and stupid (we’ll I’m a designer so it comes with the territory) but I mean, how does he not get himself at least somewhat presentable? Like go to Bloomingdale’s and get yourself some decent clothes dude haha.
  21. He definitely doesn’t use hydraulic acid or night serum.
  22. It was cool to see us working the board for more picks, but it was pretty disheartening to see us trade ourselves down and out of so many OL prospects. I mean some were a bit banged up but that second tier last year had some really solid rookie campaigns yet we end up with Terrace Marshall as the 2nd rounder. Sam Cosmi, Dillon Radunz, Jackson Carman (The bright spot on the Bengals line), Josh Meyers, it was just frustrating. If they knew they weren't going to be using TMJ much, I don't know why they didn't take a different approach. Horn would have been much easier to take in if we just stayed pat and drafted Cosmi.
