  1. It’s not like our defense ever fields 3 LBs. We’re very fluid here. He just better not be the outfielder and stay up in the box/near the LOS to make plays.
  2. I think it’s all draft dependent. You shouldn’t have a potential 1-year rental in Baker predicate a franchise shaping decision at #6. If Verge’s latest is right and it’s basically Corral or Pickett if we trade down (or) maybe we land Howell depending how picks shake out; then we really don’t need to kill ourselves pursuing Baker. Having those type of rookies would be good to pair with Darnold or Jimmy. Baker is the option if we don’t come away with a draftee. But CLE would have to give us a 23’ asset and eat some of that contract. We have leverage and can just walk away from a non favorable deal.
  3. There’s a dude named Smoke Monday? Sold
  4. Yeah I wanted to like him during the season but every time I tuned in was just like, well he's not doing anything glaringly wrong. But it was a program that has become very good with a team playing very well, he was excelling in that environment. He has really sound mechanics (throwing motion is solid/tight, best footwork in class), speed, size, seems very smart, but he just plays awkwardly. I don't know what it is but he's just awkward, even though he's got the mechanics down, it's like elongated or slow/he goes glitchy robot arm. Could disappear like Josh Dobbs or Mond pretty quickly after the draft if he goes to the wrong spot.
  5. Ooh interesting on Howell. Makes me wonder who that could be. Do think Indy would be a very cool spot for him behind Matt Ryan for a year. Could really excel with Taylor & Pittman in Reich's offense. Especially given his college success before Javonte left. Same goes for TEN and Howell. Ridder is a mystery for me, projection and team fit. Seemed to test really well but I never really saw "it" during the games. Could see him finding a Tyler Huntley type situation behind a pretty set in place starter but really can't place him anywhere. If not a backup, ATL could thrust him into a competition with Mariota.
  6. I didn't expect him to be some lovable billionaire that would embrace the QC and team, but man, it feels like every move he's made has been the wrong one. Hurney, Rivera, Cam, Rhule, QBs, the whole coaching search in general, the whole in-game experience side, strange stadium renovations, organizational moves. It has never felt like there was a strong framework put in place to execute when he got here and has just been winging it because it's his team and his prerogative. It's a very cold place inside this fandome.
  7. @Verge Any guess what type of grade teams have on Howell & Ridder? Could either one realistically go ahead of the consensus top-3/are there any teams really into them? I just find where they end up absolute wildcards and after, it may be quite some time before another QB is selected (Zappe, Glass, Coan, Strong, etc.). Jermaine Johnson II is one of the quieter presumed high up picks--what's the deal with him? Any fave LB for us? Muma or Tindall? Wyoming's LBs have been producing majorly and would love Muma. And ditto on Sauce. Aiden, Sauce, & G. Wilson are my fave players this draft.
  8. I will have give you that. Had to look at threads created, between Harbaugh, Daniels Jones, Michael Brockers, UFOs, and Financial System conspiracies, you definitely provide the threads haha.
  9. Oh dear lord look what you've done @Ricky Spanish
  10. Yeah that was my original point… You just said not a single panthers fan wants to see Sam on this team, and then responded to two people who were saying they wanted him. Reasons vary and none are for wanting him to win games for us. We’re all trying to find the silver lining and there really is none. What’s the dealio/point here? We’re pretty much in the garbage next year rookie, trade, or whatever. Rhule is the coach and we all want this regime to end.
  11. Did you see the poll in the other thread? It’s like a third of the tally that want to suffer through Darnold/force Rhule to start him. If there’s not a draftee you like, then it’s pretty dire. And PJ is here. We basically may land a rookie in the draft, if not, then we’re pursuing that 3rd in Baker, Jimmy or Gardner.
  12. Yup. The idea he's our 2023 starter is wishful thinking for the tank-hopeful or just ones who want Rhule gone. The reality is that the staff trying to save their jobs are about to take another swing at the position. It ain't Darnold so as much as we may want it, got to accept he won't be pick-6ing the way to #1 overall in 23'.
  13. Correct. Hence why I said that's optimal IF we trade back. Ekwonu or Neal...or Cross sounds like the most likely path.
  14. JT O'Sullivan went further into Howell than any other QB. Part 8 (The 2021 NC State game) warmed me up a ton and it's because how poorly everyone around him played. He still managed to have them in it until the final Hail Mary bomb. Has a few footwork things he can clean up but he is pretty close to the all around QB you look for today with no measurables, arm or mobility concerns. It's all at least avg to above-average. Considering this class, I think Corral & Howell are the obvious ones that still have legit upside and can play pretty close to immediately. Rather than Baker, I see a mini-Big Ben with a bit of Dak Prescott. He's a bit more of a truck. Like a short truck of a man.
  15. I have a suspicion a lot of teams REALLY like a few guys including Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Bernhard Raimann, & Zion Johnson. They're that blend of smarts, passion for the game, hit all measurables, just the full package at their positions. Personally love hearing we may potentially be looking at Raimann if we trade down. He's a stud. If a trade is made, I HAVE to think Wilson, Raimann, Zion or Corral are the targets on our second block on the big boards. Then a trade up for Howell with the new capital gained if Corral isn't R1.
  16. Not a UNC fan but he'd be one of my preferred trade-down scenarios: 1-Raimann/Penning + Howell 2-Corral + OL (Kinnard/Salyer/Strange)
  17. Very interesting to see we brought in Garrett Wilson and Chad Muma. Wilson is the only non-OL I’d be down with in R1. Muma could be a stud. Wyoming has been producing LBs (still wish we got Logan Wilson)
  18. Issue with this is that I’d prefer not to lose out on a top overall talent if it’s not a QB at 6. We’d risk getting JAGs and a mildly promising QB in this scenario. Fills the roster but you miss out on a for sure LT and I see a drop after Raimann/Penning. So if a trade down, I’d like to hope we stay top 15. Would love one with BAL at 14 (They may want Thib or Sauce) and maybe we land something like Zion/Raimann and Howell with the picks. Out of the rest? Minshew. He could at least outlast Rhule. Jimmy G and Mayfield are essentially 1 year rentals that would acquire his stench.
  19. If we can land Minshew, that would be perfectly fine. I’ve kind of put him on the backburner because I’m not sure Philly really wants to deal him away, he’s a good asset. He’s the type that could outlast Rhule and stay on even if we find a rookie in 23 or 24.
  20. A wildcard poor decision could be Tannehill. TEN quietly checked every top QB out and is sniffing around. They went hard after Russell
  21. Precisely. And in the likelihood he doesn’t work out, it means Rhule is gone, tabula rasa come 2023
  22. Yikes. I went to pretty much every game until I moved post-college circa 2010 and returned for the big ones. So haven’t been since like 2017. Sounds like things have changed pretty drastically. Never saw the endzone renovations either. Unfortunate
