  1. Seems like a guy to play on blitzing downs in an EDGE type role in our hybrid fronts. Needs some development before more downs are given but Marquis Haynes could be a good mentor.
  2. STO's spot just got put on notice. Keith Taylor is well secured and am hopeful for that dude. Horn, Jackson, Hendo, Taylor, and the rest battle it out
  3. This is a "There you go Matt" pick. He's actually got decent upside, but I figured as much. We're out of the Temple recruits and in the Baylor guys for Rhule now with incoming prospects. I expect a few UDFAs.
  4. I find this kind of interesting... By taking Ikem Ekwonu at 6, the Panthers have now taken the first overall defensive player in a draft (Pick 8, 2021, Horn), followed by the first overall offensive player in a draft (Pick 6, 2022, Ekwonu) while not even being in the top-5. A good indicator we could have a nice foundation in place that feels a bit separate from those twilight Rivera years. Between Burns, Chinn, Brown (hoping for a good 22'), YGM, Ekwonu, & Horn, it could be an appealing crew for a new coach come next season.
  5. Yeah, that was the big predicament. The Giants taking Thib likely saved us from taking Pickett or Penning in a trade down. Do wonder what type of offers would come that would seem jucier than just taking our top-rated offensive prospect in the draft.
  6. I also like the setup in a make-or-break year for Rhule. The QB was a 3rd rounder, so taking one high next year won't be some huge issue with moving on/keeping as a backup if we eye Stroud/Young/Levis/McCall...whoeever The line has finally been addressed, and early. And this is not an Otah situation. Our 4th rounder is a pretty big boom-bust, the rest strong developmental types. Unsure if Darnold or another vet will take the field first but we'll be seeing Corral this year and hey, maybe we found ourselves a mid-round steal. Never know.
  7. This is where I'm at. There's always that 1 pick (at the least). Didn't happen this year.
  8. I know people are a bit iffy about Brady at LG but it also depends on who's on each side of him. Ekwonu-Christensen-Bozeman-Corbett-Moton is one of the best on paper lines we've had in some time. Hoping it translates. Bozeman at LG and Elflein at C could happen starting out but prefer the former with Brady becoming a starter out of the gate. Then we have Elflein, Erving, Brown, Mays as depth (Where the 2 Es should be) then actually becomes valuable. That's 2 foundation (Moton & Corbett), 2 young starters (Icky & Brady), 2 developmental (Brown & Mays) And you never know how Bozeman could shake out, maybe we turn around and get him on longer if he has a solid year. He's 27, not old for a C/LG type.
  9. Spot on with the first name you mentioned. Nice.
  10. I enjoy them, it's just people trying to guess the draft correctly at the end of the day. Fans shouldn't take them as draft guides for building their perception of who should go when.
  11. We've had a #1 overall have relative success, a UDFA, now is time for a mid-rounder to pop at QB. Long overdue having to deal with Lewis, Damien Craig, Stefon Lefors, Grier, we're due a hit one of these days. Let it be ushered into the ethos.
  12. I'm liking some of these OGs and RBs available. Munford Jr & Snoop Conner
  13. They just got zapped! Honestly, after the Senior Bowl, people were panning Zappe's arm strength but he must have shown enough of the rest to be drafted over the two guys with the big arms. Definitely shows the disparity between consensus mocks & rankings of the scouting depts vs. online/publications
  14. Bailey Zappe ahead of Howell & Strong. Ichiwawa!
  15. Very strange account. Idle from 2016-2021
  16. So we have (2) 6ths and a 7th. Maybe another trade up to secure 1 more talent that fell? Could see it late 4th/early 5th
  17. I guess we'll see on the returns. Might as well get hyped haha
  18. holy hautsauce I believe we now have (3) 9.99s over above Chinn (10), Horn (9.99) & Smith (9.99) Kuechley was a 9.98, Cam a 10.
  19. Trust the program. Given the trade comp, we definitely had him pegged as a 3rd (or maybe 2nd rounder) That's basically the draft. LT, QB, LB
  20. He can flick it that's for sure and with placement. And seems to have deep field vision. What I've seen and liked are also his mid-range seam throws ~15-25 yarders. Consistently hitting guys in stride and avoided the dreaded "hospital balls". He's got some promise.
  21. Sounds like we've just got a 7th left haha
