Now this was an example of something good--4 down linemen, Chinn in the box as our nickel back. 2-3 yard run stuffed. Luvu and Littleton as the LBs. Line was YGM, Roy, Hoskins, and Haynes. Strange unit but it worked.

Just look at one of Chubb's first big runs...4-2-5 with a standing end. Effectively playing Burns as a 3-4 EDGE but with zero run-D support having two linebackers and Chinn way back OFF SCREEN. And we weren't even using our good run D LB in Wilson, that's Luvu. On the Browns end, hmm..slot to the right, single back w/6 up front...think a misdirect run to the left? You got it. They were an EASY offense to diagnose and Snow was utter crap.

With this type of stuff, the truth always lies somewhere between. Could see a lot of this rumor being blown out of proportion after an actual visible argument between Snow and Wilks about Chinn but then it goes on and is likely stretching things. We have effectively neutered Chinn the past year or so but stuff like Brown becoming a pass rusher contrasts from how Snow has talked about his use. Burbs wanting out, could see it. Taking it with a grain of salt but it’s a rumor at the end of the day.

I've been on a quest since last Saturday, what did I miss?

It wasn’t saxy, Ill tell you that -
“We just have a couple guys who aren’t executing and ya know, we’ll I don’t know, but yeah [laughs, then reminds himself how much he makes and the unexpected job security] -Matt Rhule The thing that really speaks volumes are how you don’t see a lick about his relationship with our few quality players—CMC, DJ, and Chinn. It’s like they operate in a different stratosphere knowing he’ll be gone soon.

Matt Rhule disappointed, not discouraged by opening loss
davos replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
He can’t fall on the game plan or coaching sword this soon. It will be “execution” or positional excuses for a bit until we’re looking out of the playoff race. -
Historically, this thread pops up a bit prematurely just before we’re officially out of the playoffs. This year? After week 1 haha. Just tells you how bought out the diehards and many to most fans are. Just cray

Yeapp, we’re just stuck rooting for this mess.

This is the total of Rhule’s earnings after this year, including his original Baylor buyout of $6 mil. 10-24 The 16th highest paid coach in all of professional sports (globally) Tepper has spent over $30 mil on him alone. And what do we have to speak for? Nada. Zilch. Zerooooooo I wanted to go on a greater spiel but I think these numbers speak for themself.

Had to look up this Wes Phillips but he looks cool

Have 3: Wes Phillips Mike Kafka Rich Bissacia

If that’s the case, then his inconsistency alone should warrant immediate benching. Those directly halted drives. Basic football 101 sh*t. No ground to stand on regarding Elf anymore. He’s been abysmal at LG and now C

How about the guy who played center that’s been here for over a year? Elflein’s low erratic snaps alone caused 4 plays to flat out get busted.

Meh, he just doesn’t have answers at this point and is spitballing. Nothing new really.

When did you figure out Rhule was a fraud?
davos replied to Randolph Panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Mid year 2 for me. Was willing to see how things were playing out after the 3-0 start, felt hopeful, but the QB debacle and whole response they had to things going south really did it. The whole 2 QB rotation was nuts bananas -
The Run D Problem: Scheme, Personnel, or Both??
davos replied to Jay Roosevelt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our personnel doesn’t work with our scheme. And the 3-3-5 and 3-2-6 are not suitable for a base defense. Burns-Brown-Ioaniddis as the only 3 down linemen with Wilson/Luvu/Shaq behind and 5 DBs will allow anyone to run over us. The 4-3 looks didn’t have Chinn play up in the box either so his skills were unused. Awful game plan by Snow with no recognition of our opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. -
I’m really feeling we’re going to get a sh*tty overcorrection unless Tepper calls up a exec to help with the search. If the Bears could own up and decide to have a search assist, I’d hope to think Tepper can do it as well. Hopeful Tepper can figure out a GM/Coach that can allow him to sit back from the madness

Is Rhule the worst coach in the NFL right now

Murray played, you’re thinking of last season.
