For a #1 overall pick after 3 years , he should be at least in the continent close to him He isn't even in the same solar system as Josh Allen. Again this is his 3rd year. People are so scared to start over at QB that we will take this crap from him.

i dont think so,. i think what he is doing is giving bryce what he feels comfortable throwing. this is the result. sometimes you can luck up and get away with it. other times teams beat it. i dont know any magical plays that would make BY play better where he wouldnt have to do the same stuff on each play, climb the pocket, go through progresssions ets.

just looking at some of his throws he made, i know for certian he could not be a backup here. the contrast would be to stark

Bryce is elite at [PFF designated "big time"] throws
carolinanimal replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
people dont understand what this does to an offense. it eliminates most of the inbreaking routes on a wr route tree. if you look at most of his throws, they are comebacks, throws to the boundaries, checkdowns. Low risk throws that he can zip in the 10-15 yard range. That limits your offense. as much as people hate XL, i think he could be useful on certian routes. but thats not the type of routes Bryce is comfortable with, the slants and posts. even Jimmy Horn could be used on some of them because of how twitchy he is but those passes would come in the middle of the field where you cant float the ball but have to drive it. -

No ones comes into a game with the Panthers thinking they have to stop the deep ball and bryce young. in fact it is quite the opposite, they want to shut down the run and and either be in single high safety or sit in zone. -
I think everyone thinks this. That's why it is hard for some people to critique him. He looks like a middle schooler.

So is this a Bryce issue, a Canales issue, or a non issue?
carolinanimal replied to jb2288's topic in Carolina Panthers
lets all be real. there is a reason he didnt throw at the combine. its not that he cant throw the deep ball. he can. its how he throws it that makes the difference -
i dont think you can put horn on the field a bunch. he dont run block like XL.

Is This A Correct Backdoor to the Playoffs?

The backdoor is for special occasions only. -
dont worry about them. they are just trolling now. there is not one aspect of Bryce youngs game that is top tier or elite after 3 years. nothing. Let them keep making excuses.

i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that? even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
-
do you think you can run a successful offense with half the options gone?
-
i just think that this offense directly shadows what Bryce is comfortable doing. thats why it looks like it does. A lot of throws to the outside of the wr route tree, the flat, comeback, out(sometimes) and the corner. this with rollouts is what i think he is most comfortable doing. The problem dave canales has is i dont think he is as comfortable or even good throwing the inside part of the wr route tree, the go, the post , the drag , the curl(50/50) or the slant (50/50). that eliminates a lot of possible plays.

You mean like Bryce nut huggers?
-
i think he is running what bryce is most comfortable with, hence the roll outs. i dont think you can call that many deep shots with Bryce. he throws a moonball, not a rope . his deep ball allows dbs to catch up if they are not wide open. they are also to the outside, not posts or deep digs.

i can see the wr dont know the routes they are supposed to run. tmac and the te both ran routes at he same depth
