Sean Ryan on key Darnold improvement (P-Wire's Rizzuti) & my $0.02

True that, but Ron and Marty love their veterans with cap busting contracts.
-
I hear you. Not high probability but with Urban, Marty (and Ron’s love for his veterans) and the dumpster fire in Houston, who the hell knows?

Crossing posts. Wasn’t referring to Moton. I wouldn’t touch him. He’s the only bright light on a weak online. My first thought experiment (or brain fart) was Shaq even up for a starting OL or LB, if we could get out of his contract with little to no dead money. Kungfoodude politely squashed that idea. I later refined that idea in another later post by offering the theoretical trade of DJ for a high quality OL or LB. We’re stacked at WR and to get value, you have to give value. Marshall may have made both Moore’s expendable. It’s a BIG reach but since we are all blue skying possible trade scenarios, I was trying to find the most out of consensus but still marginally realistic trade without giving up any of next year draft picks.

For a player of similar ability and a more cap friendly contract? Addition by subtraction.

"In on every deal."

If you want to really entertain the Twilight Zone, swap DJ for someone's OL or LB starter. Quality for quality and we are deep at receiver. Just throwing spaghetti against the wall but it makes sense in some alternate universe of options... Would be really bizarre if Marshall made both Moore's expendable.

Player swap rather than draft picks? Shaq for a quality OL or LB? Shaq for another LB is the equivalent of swapping queens in chess but it gets a big contract off of our books. Shaq for an OL starter weakens the defense but better secures the OL and Darnold. It's a wild theory but go big or go home I guess...

Wide zone blocking scheme? -
If Arnold is the second TE in the two TE set, he is the third wide receiver on passing downs. This may be the plan for red zone situations.

All your TE's belong to us...

That nickname should have gone to Deonte Brown...

Severely aggravated ingrown toe nail. It's been known to keep some players on IR for an entire season. Remarkably clears up in time for training camp next year. Go figure.

We are now shopping the returns and overstocked aisle, looking for bargains. Go get ‘em Fitterer…

It never works out trying to rekindle old love with the ex-girlfriend. Or so I've heard...
