Round 3 - The Carolina Panthers Select DJ Johnson - EDGE - Oregon
bythenbrs replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jon provides pretty good commentary on this board. I’d give him a little more credit than that… -

Just a quick superficial eyeball scan and nothing earth shattering... (6, 46%) R2, (4, 31%) R3, (1, 7%) R4, (1, 7%) R5, (1, 7%) R6. So, ignoring R1 (duh), if you are looking for a starter or major contributor, you better be fishing in R2 and R3, where 77% of this list came from. Fitterer may be on to something in this draft if he is looking to trade down from 39 to accumulate more picks in R2 and R3. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Yes, a parody account. Alternately, you can think of his posts as a Rorschach test; you'll see what you want to believe is true.

Not enough exclamation points and you need to alternate UpPeR cAsE with LoWeR cAsE to really make your comment more impactful.

If the choice is Young, we better take the best G available at 39. This is how NO kept Brees alive and productive.

For all the talk about giving our new QB1 weapons, if the selection is Young, a top tier G with a mean streak is far more important than a WR or TE. You have to be upright before you can throw the ball.

Besides QB, what do y'all think are out biggest draft needs?
bythenbrs replied to Panthero's topic in 2023 NFL Draft
It with take Fitterer magic to pull this off but, I really believe we need to come out of this draft with at least two starter capable of this group: OLB/Edge, CB, G. To do this, Fittz may have to trade down from 39 (ugh), trade a player to create draft capital (Chinn) or swap a 2024 pick for a 2023 pick (ugh again). None of these options are optimal. As much as I like Chinn, he may be a 'man without a country' in Evero's 3-4 scheme but, he has trade value. -
