  1. Tremble is the starter at TE. Would we like better? Sure but, he’ll have to do this year. Perhaps he surprises and continues to develop into the long term solution. Some players take 3-4 years to come into their own; this could be the year. Maybe. Corbett at C is an experiment and Mays is still unproven. Time to take a C in a year when there are some very good options. Mingo will have to be WR2 this year. Time to see if Mingo belongs on the roster or not. Since we are finally (finally!) doing a full roster rebuild, we really should be drafting BPA at 33, 39 and R3. If we are drafting for need, Edge, Corner, C. Start all three on day 1; this is a rebuild year. Low cost FA’s and later round draft picks will have to be our depth and the 2-3 positions without obvious starters. This is not a one year rebuild. Bite the bullet and do it right this time.
  2. Or… what? What is your plan B if the Giants say ‘no’. The problem with ultimatums in negotiations is what you are prepared to do if your trade partner calls your bluff. You have to be willing to live with plan B. What is your plan B?
  3. Duh! He’s heading to mascot camp for a week of intense position coaching.
  4. Sir Purr signed his contract extension so, we’re good there for several years.
  5. True. That’s why I qualified my statement by saying ‘future’ and not ‘immediate’. Probability of JPJ falling to 33 is likely 0% but if he did, you would have to seriously consider taking him there. If we can convert Burns to picks, we might be picking 2 WR’s and a C in our first three picks. Maybe.
  6. We need to move Burns for picks. I could see us double dipping but we need to find a future starting C in this draft, as well.
  7. “All your injury prone corners belong to us… “
  8. This is what new CEO’s and boards generally do… clean house, take all your losses up front, which is usually blamed on the previous regime. You only get one ‘honeymoon” period. From that point on, it’s all on the new regime.
  9. I believe I read elsewhere that another team can negotiate with the Panthers on the draft picks to sign Burns.
  10. Could this be part of a tag and trade strategy?
  11. He gets separation. I thought I heard it’s a thing now…
  12. Not a secret that we need more draft picks, especially with a draft class thought to be stronger than typical. Burns needs to be monetized into draft picks. Trading back from 33 may be necessary, as distasteful as that is. Morgan has his work cut out for him the next 2-3 drafts.
  13. This is the quote of the year. Polite golf clap.
  14. Yes, which is why we need more draft picks to maximize this deeper draft. We need to move Burns for picks and/or consider trading back for additional picks. 33 is a very nice position to pick some first round talent that dropped to the second day but, if we can get two starters out of this, we ought to work the phones hard to see what we can get… assuming we don’t screw the pooch again with scouting.
  15. Please, do not scare the FA’s. It tough enough to get good players that want to come to this dumpster fire.
  16. BC to LT, Icky to LG. ‘The answer is already on the roster’. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
