    This would be a Rivera hire, if they pull the string. Rivera insures that the GM spot is filled by a 'friendly' that will cover his flank. Heaven forbid that a GM with good analytical skills and a record of success were to get that position. Rivera could only hide his weaknesses for so long before that GM sniffs him out and decides that a coaching change is needed. Just my opinion.
