  1. McConkey. Very polished route runner, great hands, gets separation, 2.7.
  2. If both McConkey and Robinson are still on the board at 33, I would be hard pressed to pass on McConkey. Both positions are needs but McConkey seems a very polished route runner and adept at separation, something I have heard mentioned in a positive light lately…
  3. PSA: “Counselors are standing by now to speak with those experiencing trauma.”
  4. And therein lays the hope (or curse), if there is any. Bryce will have to re-sign with the Panthers on a cap friendly deal. Any other team will see and understand what the Panthers had to do to build a system around him, and the cost incurred. He will be a special situation QB, for the right system only. Who will want to sign him for Josh Allen money? He won’t even get Tua money. Point guard.
  5. Great write up. I’d pie you twice, if I could.
  6. There will also be cut-downs before the season opener. As a team, we have a poor record when reaching. Hell, we have a poor record when not reaching.
  7. We need to pitch him on the chance to get in on the ground floor of a new dynasty. …. What? Matt Rhule said this works great in college, why not the NFL? /s
  8. How someone embeds is a very personal, private decision, and I won’t pass judgment on someone else’s choice. I’m a monogamist myself, but what Juan does in his own personal life, well, live and let live, I say.
  9. The term is ‘projection’…. Take it as an unintended compliment.
  10. I think he was staying due to contract but, giving him more input on personnel is a very smart move, to keep him motivated.
  11. You would think that the Top Cats would have made an offer…
  12. “What in the Wide World of Sports is a-goin on here?”
  13. In a complete rebuild year, no one should be ‘safe’ except, perhaps, D. Brown. That said, it is interesting that people are so glib about getting rid of the only sure handed, ‘move the chains’ WR we had last year. We signed AT to be a Ricky Proehl clone in the slot position. We got more out of him than we should have reasonably expected. He did not take plays off. He was not a locker room cancer. Amazing that there is no ‘love’ at all for what he did for the team last year. It is a rebuild year so, replace him if we can do better. No one should be safe but, show a modest amount of appreciation for what he did for the team last season.
  14. We’ve finally started a proper rebuild. Too many holes on this roster so, trading up into the first is a ‘no’. We need to get two starters with picks 33 and 39.
  15. Tremble is the starter at TE. Would we like better? Sure but, he’ll have to do this year. Perhaps he surprises and continues to develop into the long term solution. Some players take 3-4 years to come into their own; this could be the year. Maybe. Corbett at C is an experiment and Mays is still unproven. Time to take a C in a year when there are some very good options. Mingo will have to be WR2 this year. Time to see if Mingo belongs on the roster or not. Since we are finally (finally!) doing a full roster rebuild, we really should be drafting BPA at 33, 39 and R3. If we are drafting for need, Edge, Corner, C. Start all three on day 1; this is a rebuild year. Low cost FA’s and later round draft picks will have to be our depth and the 2-3 positions without obvious starters. This is not a one year rebuild. Bite the bullet and do it right this time.
  16. Or… what? What is your plan B if the Giants say ‘no’. The problem with ultimatums in negotiations is what you are prepared to do if your trade partner calls your bluff. You have to be willing to live with plan B. What is your plan B?
  17. Duh! He’s heading to mascot camp for a week of intense position coaching.
