  1. Either UCLA sucks or Mendoza should be in the discussion of first round QB draft picks…
  2. It’s soul crushing to admit the obvious; that by FO design, Thumbelina is the best QB on our roster. We will have to ride him to the end of another lost season. He’s going to receive an extension to his contract, and we will be stuck with him for another 3-4 years. QB purgatory. ”The call is coming from inside the house.”
  3. I’m sure Canales and Morgan are hoping for a little more of the playbook and some more shots down field vertically but, yeah, probably.
  4. “I’m not as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was”
  5. I sure hope D & D don’t sacrifice the longer term on the altar of an imagined ‘window’. We don’t need any ‘win now’ trades. We are still in the rebuilding phase and need two more drafts minimum and intelligent FA signings to properly build this roster for long term competitiveness.
  6. For my money, ‘The Sky is Falling’ thread was peak huddling but I agree, this one has potential.
  7. I’d grab the Heini…. Wait, that didn’t come out right.
  8. Things are really bad when you make Leon Hess look like a model owner.
  9. Your high school qb in the 80’s HAS better arm strength than Bryce.
  10. Could we splurge on a center in the second round? Cade Mays at center looks serviceable as a later round pick but, I’m not sure that you can count on that too often…
  11. Is there a fifth option for welded shut and hermetically sealed?
  12. I seem to recall (hazily) that the Bryce camp was lobbying hard for XL. Does anyone else remember that or is that just a fever dream?
  13. We better start drafting some O-line talent or find UDFA gems that can be developed. For salary cap sanity, we need some eventual starters on rookie contracts to restore a more balanced cap allocation across the board.
  14. If he keeps showing up biggly when given the opportunities, I think they will try to resign him rather than letting him walk. Why he didn’t draw more interest from other teams this past free agency period is a question I don’t have an answer for. Happy it worked out for us and we got to retain him.
  15. BC deserves the love. He looked great last week, too.
  16. Mr. Scott taking one for the team. Your sacrifice is noted.
  17. A win despite the best efforts of the zebras. Sweet!
  18. A nice feel good win for the Panthers. Onward!
  19. Rico’s output last game is still a net positive for the team long term, even if it postponed BY’s reckoning by another game or so. Thrilled with the idea of retaining him and having Chubba and Rico for the next QB that replaces BY.
  20. This. The Panthers paid up big time to get the number one pick. We gambled and lost by selecting a unicorn; mistake number one. Now the team is so over committed to shaping a Bryce-friendly roster, just to justify the original decision to trade up and draft him; mistake number two. The Panthers brain trust will now double down on the above by signing him to a new plus size contract next year? If he hasn’t proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that he is a franchise QB by now, how can they possibly throw even more money at this experiment? Will some adult in the room please explain the concept of ‘sunk cost’ to Tepper? Absent ego, cut your loss and move on.
  21. Jake was an alpha. Bryce, not so much.
  22. The first two game balls should have been given to Rico and the Fins run defense. Bonus question: why hasn’t BC been starting at guard in Hunt’s absence?
  23. “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.”
