  1. Just not a fan of Carter; even watching him again last night against an inferior team he didn’t display any unique pass rushing moves.

He’s a quick edge with good bend and there’s definitely something to work with but with as high as we are going to be picking we need a sure thing.

If we go defense then Will Johnson or Mason Graham should be the pick.

  2. Mayfield and Darnold are playing great ball and have been consistently good all year. Bryce on the other hand didn’t really start putting it together until 7 games ago.

If you average out his stats over the past 7 games you’d have a QB that is on pace for 29 total TD’s over a 17 game season. That’s fringe top 10 QB play.

Who know’s if Bryce has completely turned the corner but he’s playing much better than his season stats suggest. 12 total TD’s to 4 total turnovers over the past 7 games isn’t bad. Just for comparisons sake, Jordan Love is at 11 total TD’s to 1 total turnover over his past 7 games. Pretty similar stats with the main difference being the Packers have a really good defense and head coach.

    Uh, what?

Colorado and BYU are playing each other in a bowl game?

Since when do bowls have teams from the same conference play each other???? (not counting playoffs of course)

I had to look this one up. For 2024 and 25 this bowl is using the old conferences for their tie in’s. So technically BYU is Big 12 and Colorado is PAC 12. It’s weird.

Warren is a great call out love that guy.  Tez is small but explosive, good call.  Not a huge Egbuka fan but fine.  Nice picks regardless.  Bravo man.

I will say we are 100% in agreement with Hunter. I’m still not even sure he’s a WR. You mentioned the size. It screams CB but maybe that’s just me.

You love bringing up guys after the fact that did such and such. Tell us tonight who will be a stat guy after next draft.  Don’t show up next time this year talking about some stud you loved.

There’s the obvious guys like Hunter and T-Mac who everyone likes. They are safe picks. I’m not exactly sure how safe Hunter is though because I feel like he’ll be a DB. T-Mac, he reminds me of Michael Pittman. Just a safe WR who catches the ball when it’s thrown to him.

Under the radar picks? Emeka Egbuka. If you want to go deeper than that, Tez Johnson. If you want a favorite player in the draft, Tyler Warren.

Not really.  Ladd’s injury history was and is still a big deal.  He gets to play with Herbert which inflates his stats.  Don’t start loving Ladd now.  Hunter is another question and the main question is 6’0 185.  Size is a concern.

It 100% was, he ran a 3.97 at his pro day.

In reference to pass uses of shuttle times. This article details how Edelman’s shuttle got him drafted in the first place. A guy who was completely off the radar in college got drafted simply because of his elite shuttle time. Ladd’s definitely played a role in his draft stock boost.

Additionally, saying a receiver is or isn’t good because of their QB play is such a lazy argument. McConkey is elite at creating separation. Just a few weeks ago PFF had him as their leader in created separation for the week.

Does he have prior injury concerns, sure. But there’s a difference between drafting a wide receiver with an injury history verses signing a wide receiver with an injury history. The main difference being the money.

Hunter's change of direction ability is absurd. He probably won't because there's nothing to gain but I'd love to see his shuttle and three come times.

The shuttle is becoming the new 40.

Everyone wants to see it because it really separates those high twitch athletes from the “just fast” athletes.

Ladd’s shuttle is what boosted his draft stock.

Yeah they got exposed. Winner wins the Alawho bowl lol.

Meanwhile Prime will have 2 top 3 picks. He's got the #2 overall recruit coming to play QB next season. Damn Colorado has really failed this season. Poor Deion couldn't win the Alawho bowl.

I'm coping so bad right now that I'm not even watching the game. In case you didn't notice my season ended weeks ago.

If you aren't in the playoffs you irrelevant. Clemson fan take notes.

Let’s be real though, having two of the top three picks and not making the playoffs isn’t exactly a glowing endorsement of Sanders head coaching skills.

Carolina fans questioned Mack Brown’s coaching skills after he wasn’t able to win an ACC championship with Trubisky or Maye. Sanders will get the same treatment if his team consistently comes up short.

And for what it’s worth I like Deion. All the videos I’ve seen show that he develops kids to succeed beyond football. I just question his overall ability to coach a complete football team. As an All-Pro HOF DB, you’d think he could field a competent defense.

from what I remember, and that's not much at this point in the evening, is that the Bengals can't afford him.  They are paying Burrow and their #1 receiver, and would love to have him back but they can't pay all 3 that kind of money.

His problems have been injuries and you hate to pay big money to a guy like that, but he will probably be available.  As someone mentioned, the Pats need a WR and have the space.

Still, fun to think about our O with him, Bryce developing, a damn good OL and the rest of the WR corps supporting, and a much better defense with the draft.

Pats definitely make the most sense from a money standpoint.

My sleeper teams for Higgins would be the Commanders and Packers. Both have a ton of cap space and not a whole lot of holes to plug in free agency. Both could use one more game changer on offense to get them over the hump.

He would be the best on our team as it stands now. But I'm not in favor of paying him a big contract to come here.

Personal opinion but I think he’d be a #1 on 70% of the teams in the NFL.

I just think he’ll get Aiyuk money which doesn’t make sense for us right now.

If we decide to beef up the interior through free agency with one of Milton Williams or Osa Odighizuwa then getting a WR on a rookie contract makes much more sense. For what it’s worth I project Williams at $20M APY and Odighizuwa at $25M APY. Both would probably be a better investment than Higgins at $30M APY.

People that call him a number 2 don't realize he's only that because he's overshadowed by one of the top 3 WRs in the league. He'd be miles ahead of anything we have.

But the injuries are a legit concern

Injuries are the only thing that would keep me away from him. We don’t need an Aiyuk situation.

But there’s no denying Higgins is a #1 in this league.

  12. Big issue with Higgins is the injuries over the past two years. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy, he was dealing with an ankle/knee injury heading into todays game.

But those saying he isn’t a #1 are dead wrong. He’s missed 5 games but his projections over 16 games are 100 receptions, 1,248 yards, and 15 TD’s.

Literally, the only WR putting up better numbers than Higgins on a per game basis is his running mate, Chase.

You just have to ask yourself, is a guy who has missed 10 games over the past two years worth $30M a year.
