  1. Back in playoff position before we even get going… let’s shock the world!
  2. I think it depends on how they view certain QB’s in the upcoming draft. Either it doesn’t work out and they have their choice of Corral, Willis, Howell, or Pickett. Or it does work out and they are probably only looking at a choice between Howell or Pickett. Additionally, if it does work out then Cam is probably getting a two or three year extension.
  3. Sam probably needs to go but that decision should be left up to Fit. If Cam works out, and by that I mean he manages to lead us to the playoffs this year, Rhule is going to be the poster child for why you don’t give college coaches full control over an NFL organization. One term is synonymous with college coaches, control freak. Over the past 10 years we’ve seen Greg Schiano, Doug Marrone, Chip Kelly, Bill O’Brien, and now Matt Rhule run NFL franchises into the ground because they requested full control over their new NFL team.. - It’s been noted that Greg Schiano’s need for control was so bad that he wanted to be in charge of the thermostat in team meetings… - Marcel Dareus stated that Doug Marrone was anal-retentive and treated the entire Bills team like children… - Multiple Eagles players stressed that Kelly wanted players to dress, act, and talk exactly how he wanted… - Bill O’Brien needed control so bad that he made the Texans name him the head coach and general manager… I’m sure we’ll hear some stories about Rhule once his time is up but for now we’re stuck pondering what could have been if Rhule didn’t take us on some circle of life trip (Newton -> Bridgewater -> Darnold -> Newton).
  4. It’s very possible… 9 wins gets you in and one thing people are forgetting is there is only one bye per conference. If the bye is locked up for a team by week 17 then you’ll see a lot of teams that have already clinched rest guys. The Panthers stand a good shot at rolling into week 17 going against a Bucs team who isn’t playing anyone… Soooo for example: Arizona - Loss Washington - Win Miami - Win Atlanta - Win Bills - Loss Bucs - Loss Saints - Win Bucs - Win Now we’re sitting at 9-7 and going into the postseason as the sixth or seventh seed.
  5. Some people are born to follow (there’s nothing wrong with that) and some are born to lead, Cam was born to lead. Whether you are religious or not, the part where he talks about his journey and his faith is eye opening. While he’s still the same Cam there is a lot of things that just seem different about him (in a good way). A wise man once said that “a minor setback paves the way for a major comeback”. I don’t expect Cam to come in and be Superman, after all he’s not 22 anymore… but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him become the ultimate leader and will this team to the playoffs through his drive, passion, leadership, and accountability. Welcome Back!
  6. That happened in 2018 and definitely exacerbated the injury but it wasn’t the initial cause. Go watch his vlogs, he’s quoted as saying that he’d been playing as a wounded dog since 2016. His initial surgery in 2017 was for his rotator cuff, the surgery in 2019 was to clean up scar tissue due to continued hits that he was taking on that throwing shoulder. I’m sure you know how scar tissue forms (most people do). The likelihood of what happened is that the shoulder never fully healed from the initial surgery and then the constant hits due to poor OL play and overuse in the run game caused the shoulder issue to become worse. Like I said, the OL definitely made the injury worse but so did taking unnecessary hits while running. I think it would be a huge mistake to run him like we previously did, just my opinion.
  7. Sergio Ruiz, the Charlotte FC loanee and current footballer for Las Palmas will be taking a leave of absence from the game to focus on his mental health. Our club and gaffers statements are below along with a nice video from Las Palmas I’m hopeful that Ruiz gets the appropriate help that he needs. When he’s ready our club and supporters will welcome him back with open arms as he’s a special player; Charlotte FC even rejected a bid from an unknown La Liga team for Ruiz. Best of luck to Sergio!
  8. I hope so. The concept isn’t bad, I could even get used to the sleeves but the collar is just a sight for sore eyes for me.
  9. Bouknight and Kai are finally headed to the Swarm, Carey is back with the big club. Overall the Swarm have been pretty shitty this year going 0-3 in their first few games. JT Thor leads the team averaging 16.7PPG, 8.0 RPG, 1.7APG, and 1.7BPG.
  10. This is also inaccurate… Cam has even stated that the shoulder injury occurred in the Chargers game of week 14 during the 2016 season. If we want to point the blame at someone it belongs on Kelvin Benjamin for half-assing the play. If Benjamin 1) fights for the ball and makes the reception OR 2) makes the tackle after the interception instead of giving up on the play then Cam never gets hurt. I’d agree that our OL definitely exacerbated his injury but so did taking constant hits on his shoulder when running after the injury had already occurred.
  11. Eh… let him be a quarterback. If our coaching staff can’t figure out a way to pickup one yard without bulldozing our QB then we need to be looking for a new staff. Last year he was right at or above the league average passer rating in 10 of the 12 passing grids tracked by Next Gen Stats. Left LOS - Below Left 10 Yards - Below Left 20 Yards - Average Left 30 Yards - Average Middle LOS - Average Middle 10 Yards - Average Middle 20 Yards - Average Middle 30 Yards -Average Right LOS - Above Right 10 Yards - Above Right 20 Yards - Average Right 30 Yards Average If Brady can get out of his head and go back and try to emulate the Saints offense that he is familiar with then Cam might be able to extend his career. There’s no need to try and make Cam be Superman or scheme up deep throws or bulldozing runs for him. We have a cast of offensive players that can get open and make things happen after the catch, that’s something that Cam has really never had. Even last year the Patriots receivers were at the bottom of the barrel in separation percentage. I’d recommend going back and watching Cam’s week 17 performance from last year against the Jets. There wasn’t anything jaw dropping about his performance other than the long run but then you look up at his stat line and he’s accounted for four TD’s. If we get into a habit of riding him like we did previously then this will end worse than it did last time. At this point in Cam’s career they need to turn him into an Alex Smith/Chiefs type of player. If he can get you 25 TD’s/5 INT’s then this team can make some noise, that’s how good the defense is. There is absolutely no sense in running him into the ground.
  12. Alexander Nikishin will be an alternate captain for Russia at the Karjala Cup. If you haven’t seen Nikishin play then check out the video below. He is a treat to watch, hopefully his game transfers from the KHL to the NHL when the time comes.
  13. Cam’s last regular season start - Cam went 21-30 for 242 yards, 3 TD’s, 0 picks / 11 rushes, 79 yards / 1 reception, 19 yards, 1 TD There’s obviously some talent still there and I’d give my first born to see a Panthers QB with that stat line after the type of poo we’ve seen this year. If he can provide anything close to that for the remainder of the year then he has a chance to lead this team to the playoffs with a 9-7 record or so, the defense behind him is truly that good.
  14. A wise man once said, “If your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle, but she doesn’t so she isn’t”… aka don’t deal in hypotheticals.
  15. It literally doesn’t matter. If you think coaching is only about the X’s and O’s then go spend thousands of dollars on licenses, listen to some of the best minds in the world in sports, and come back and talk to me. I’ll also mention I did work as a quality control assistant for for an FCS team that is now an FBS team for coaching experience. 50% of the time was focused on X’s and O’s, the other 50% was countless other things. I’ve literally sat in a positions team room with a former Panthers player who is now a coach and we had this same exact conversation. People tend to forget that these are games that grown adults are playing and there is only so many ways you can play. There is overlap in every system and as adults these players don’t have to be taught much, they’ve already learned it in college. That’s why Rhule is a good coach at the college level, he can teach the game. Bottom line is these are NFL players they don’t need to be taught. He’ll lose the team if he continues to treat them like children. His downfall is going to be his ego, manipulation, and his integrity. College football coaches are known to be some of the most egocentric coaches because they are treated like royalty by their fanbases and they have to manipulate young kids to get them to join their team. If he continues to treat these NFL players the same way he treats college kids then he’s going to get the Chip Kelly treatment (which is a great comparison for Rhule).
  16. You can know football and be a shitty person, Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney are the poster children for that movie. The difference is they can get away with taking to young kids like that but grown ass men eventually get tired of it, especially when money is involved. You can’t treat and coach college players the same way you treat and coach adults. You can also be the best coach in the world but if your character is shitty then you will lose your team. We have portions of the team playing well but it’s not amounting to success, that’s on your coach. The team is not together right now… hopefully Cam can help fix that but that is on Rhule. I don’t coach football but I do coach soccer at a high level and hold a ton of licenses, there’s much more that goes into coaching then just knowing the game. At the end of the day, the X’s and O’s amount to less than 50% of what makes a successful coach. That’s why some people who know the game can’t hack it.
  17. Matt Rhule is a piece of poo, always has been. When he left Temple he literally told the media that he’d rather coach at Temple then to “sell his soul” for money… he then bolted to Baylor. When he left Baylor his players heard about it through the media and he sent out a group wide text… Dude is a used car salesman and only looks out for himself. Say what you want about Rivera, at least the guys wanted to play for him… that’s half the battle. In a perfect world Cam balls out and Tepper realizes that Rhule was a piece of poo all along and cans his ass to get a coach in here that really that wants to work with Cam.
  18. This is me right now. Just got home and checked the score… Oubre outscored Rozier, Bridges, and Ball combined and we won… damn.
