  1. Dicks Sporting Goods may have screwed the pooch. These were dropped today.

I’m hopeful this isn’t one of the kits cause this poo is ugly. The sleeves and neck are atrocious.

The sleeves need to be all white without the Detroit Lions crap on them and the v-neck has got to go.

Hornets are not cursed.   Just have a terrible owner that won’t spend money.  He uses this team to make more money for himself.   Lets go of good players and will not spend on free agents.  He loved making max contracts as a player.   But does not want to pay his players.

    This isn’t it at all.

Jordan has stepped away from the team for the most part. This is Kupchak’s team and it’s built well.

The Hornets spent to the cap this year and the only true mistake that was made was trading for Plumlee instead of trying to sign Richaun Holmes, Daniel Theis, or Hassan Whiteside.

There isn’t a single player that we’ve let go in the past six years that we should have held on to other than Christian Wood (and at the time he was not the player that he is today). Some may argue that we should have kept Graham but there wouldn’t have been enough minutes to go around between him, LaMelo, and Rozier.

My only gripe with the front office this year is that they lowballed Bridges. There’s really no excuse for that.

Most of this teams issues fall on JB. He has stressed the importance of defense time and time again yet we are still giving up 115+ points a game. JB seems like a nice guy and seems to be great at developing talent but the X’s and O’s just aren’t there right now.

  3.

I don’t think there is a whole lot here but this is interesting in that this is the first time that LaMelo has publicly talked about playing time.

In LaMelo’s defense, he played about three minutes under his average and to be honest he should probably be getting 36 minutes per game.

On the other hand… in JB’s defense, LaMelo entered the game with the Hornets up by 7 and he was on the floor for 20 of the 22 points in the Clippers 22-0 run.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out tonight.

I figured they would have sent Bouknight and Jones to the Swarm for a while since they're getting nothing but a few garbage minutes here and there.

Swarm could use all the help that they can get right now. I think they blew a 15 point lead with 6 minutes to go in the game last night.

  5. Obviously no Leonard and Ibaka for the Clips tonight, they’ll also be without Marcus Morris.

Hornets will be without Washington and potentially Plumlee.

On a side note, let’s look at the below:

    Player 1: 20.62 (PER)

    Player 2: 13.65 (PER)

Player 1 is Nick Richards and Player 2 is Mason Plumlee. It’s time to give Richards more burn.

  6. After watching the Wolves game tonight (on NHLN) I think that one thing that would be helpful for our fans on here (both those that post and lurk) is to have a thread dedicated to our young prospects that we hope will make the big club one day.

As you get updates, feel free to post them here:

The Wolves got the 4-2 win tonight and Jalen Chatfield who the Canes signed to a one year deal this past year is on fire.

Chatfield (RHD) is on a three game goal streak and has four goals in eight games this year. In comparison, he had two goals in his previous 142 games with Utica. On the season, Chatfield has 4 goals, 1 assist, and 5 points in 8 games, he’s also a +6 and has an astonishing 25% shot percentage.

The other player I want to highlight is 2021 first round pick Scott Morrow. Morrow is a freshman at UMASS and currently is slotted as an LHD on the second pairing after starting the season on the third pairing.

Morrow currently has 3 goals, 5 assists, and 8 points in 8 games for UMASS, he’s also a +7.

Below is a nice article on Morrow, hopefully he follows in the footsteps of former UMASS defenseman and Avalanche star, Cale Makar.

  7. Howell or Willis in the second if we are able to get back into that round.

Both are already familiar with playing behind a horrible OL (Willis sacked 38 times, Howell 33) so they’d be somewhat familiar with what they are walking in to.

Both are also very mobile and not afraid to use their legs. I think the intelligence factor is there is well.

Cross or Neal in the first.
