  1. And just like that the World Juniors have been cancelled after the Czech’s and Russians had to forfeit their games due to covid. Oh well…
  2. Team Canada Update Canada throttled Austria 11-2 to move to 2-0. Nearly everyone on Team Canada had a point and Seeley was no exception. He picked up a secondary and primary assist while playing on the first paring with Buffalo prospect, Owen Power. What makes this impressive is that Seeley was a seventh round draft pick. Ronan Seeley (Canada - LD) 2 GP - 0 goals, 2 assists, 2 points, +2 Highlights Below
  3. Eh, it’s not really the same in my opinion. The college all-star teams had very little time to practice together and it wasn’t the best players, it was the best seniors. For all intents and purposes, those games were more or less just another preseason game for the the NFL team. Not to mention, it was college aged seniors who had never played together against the previous years NFL champion. I’m looking for a specific example where college aged kids were a part of an actual team that practiced together, played together, and took on a team full of professional players with something at stake. It would be even more helpful if it was a good college team against a poor professional team to really gauge the outcome. I don’t think that’s ever happened in any sport and the game I mentioned was the closest I could think of to meet those parameters.
  4. Looks like Adidas leaked our away kit colors… black and clear mint.
  5. Playing devils advocate, the closest thing that we’ve seen to this was when a bunch of children from the USA beat arguably the best hockey team of all time (USSR). So while it’s unlikely that we’d lose, there’s always the chance. And while yes the sports are different, the premise is still the same. The USSR was bigger, faster, and had more experience… but for that one game it didn’t matter. I still think that we’d beat Bama by 35+ points 99/100 times.
  6. Team USA Update The USA is having to forfeit their game against Switzerland today, the US falls to 1-1 and we still haven’t seen Morrow yet.
  7. Team Sweden Update Sweden defeated Slovakia 3-0 yesterday to improve to 2-0 in the tournament. While Nybeck still hasn’t found his game yet, Nystrom has become a little more active. He had a nice hit early in the game which unfortunately was incorrectly whistled for tripping. He’s already getting the shaft so he should fit in well with the Canes. Nystrom also had a nice assist off the boards to Sjoberg who finished off the breakaway. Joel Nyström (Sweden - RD) 2 GP - 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, +2 Zion Nybeck (Sweden - RW) 2 GP - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, -1 Tripping or Clean Hit? Nystrom Assist
  8. I’m thinking that Kahlina is more than likely going to be the number one over Sisniega. This is how I see it right now. GK - Kristijan Kahlina (XI), Pablo Sisniega (SUB) LB - Joseph Mora (XI), Adam Armour (SUB) CB - Anton Walkes (XI), Jan Sobocinski (SUB) CB - Guzman Corujo (XI), Christian Fuchs (SUB) RB - Jaylen Lindsey (XI), Harrison Afful (SUB) CDM - Jordy Alcivar (XI) CM - Riley McGree (XI), Alan Franco (SUB) CM - Sergio Ruiz (XI), Brandt Bronico (SUB) LW - ? CF - Yordy Reyna (XI), Vinicius Mello (SUB) RW - McKinzie Gaines (SUB)
  9. I will continue to watch as well, from the comfort of my own home. I’m also intelligent enough to understand that watching from my home is not the equivalent to what the OP’s family had been doing. The OP’s financial obligations to the Panthers are a lot more hefty than mine. So if the OP decides that he wants to sell his PSL’s then that’s perfectly fine and it doesn’t make him any less of a fan.
  10. Team Germany Update Germany beats the Czech’s 2-1 to get their first win. Bugl was in for Quapp and he had a damn good game, we might not see Quapp again this tournament. Nikita Quapp (Germany - G): 1 GP - 3.00 gaa, .864 sv%
  11. Maliek Collins would be a nice add to replace DaQuan Jones. He’s been a damn good pass rushing threat on a bad Houston team. For run defense, D.J. Jones is the obvious answer. He’s been arguably the best run stuffer in the NFL. This is a great year to add a run stuffing DT though. D.J. Jones, Foley Fatukasi, Harrison Phillips, and Al Woods have all been elite run stuffers this year. Edit: Here’s the list where I pulled my info. If you are into PFF, grades below. Al Woods - 77.3 Harrison Phillips - 77.0 D.J. Jones - 75.5 Foley Fatukasi - 65.3
  12. Things that you love to see… everyone that played had a point. Good win.
  13. Worst of the season and it’s not even close.
  14. Think Oubre is wondering why fans are doing the wave while he is shooting free throws… lol.
  15. This is the type of poo you tell your kids in regards to Santa… Santa is real, you just can’t see him… Well those kids end up growing up and realize that you are full of poo. Well Matt… most of the fanbases has grown up over the past two years and we now realize that you are full of poo.
  16. All five starters along with Oubre are in double figures and overall the only players that’s really struggled is the one who’s coming back from covid (Martin). You love to see it.
  17. Damn… got to have your head on a swivel when Houston is in town. 1 out of 5 passes ends up in the bleachers.
  18. Team Russia Update Russia beat Switzerland 4-2 to get their first win. It was an interesting day for our Russian prospects… Pashin was scratched, Guslistov was dressed and active but didn’t play a single minute (unfortunately that still counts as a played game), and Ponomaryov had your typical “blend into the action” type of game… he was a +2 with no points. Nikita Guslistov (Russia - C): 2 GP - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, -1 Alexander Pashin (Russia - RW): 1 GP - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, +/-0 Vasili Ponomaryov (Russia - C): 2 GP - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, +2
  19. Need to see this version of Plumdog more often, he looks engaged today.
  20. Could have milked it better, especially with MJ sitting court side.
  21. Holy poo that lady got clocked… reminded me of when Henderson decked a lady with a similar pass.
  22. I don’t know what Kelly has to do to win sixth man of the year but he’s been a godsend to this team.
