It doesn’t mean much but it’s always fun to look at things from a moneyball perspective… Gostisbehere, Walker, Blake, Robinson, and Roslovic - 10 goals Skjei, Pesce, Teravainen, Noesen, and Guentzel - 9 goals

New linesss Svech - Aho - Ros Rob - KK - Necas Marty - Staal - Jarvy Carrier - Drury - Blake

Cautiously optimistic!

Lmaooo that’s a good saying.

All that stressing for nothing. Watch the games with no expectations and you’ll really enjoy this season.

Simmer down, this isn’t the same Canes team from years past. A contending team wouldn’t have Roslovic or Kotkaniemi on their second line and our fans need to realize that. Enjoy this season with no expectations and you’ll be much happier. We’re a wild card team at best.

Martinook for me.

Does Rod’s system even allow players to dominate? It seems like guys are forced to play in a set structure. And this isn’t a knock on Rod, I’d just say outside of Guentzel I haven’t seen any Canes player have an impact nearly every game. Guys seem to put up points once they leave the Canes though. Turbo has 7 in 5 and Noesen has 6 in 7. I’d just say our structure forces everyone to contribute and because of that you won’t see a 100 point player on the Canes while Rod is coaching, in my opinion.

Figured they deserve their own thread since the whole team is our prospects. They got a big win in OT over the back-to-back defending AHL champion, Hershey Bears. Goal 1 - Bradly Nadeau (1) from Ryan Suzuki (1) and Spencer Martin (1) Goal 2 - Brendan Lemieux (1) from Charles-Alexis Legault (1) Goal 3 (OT Winner) - Scott Morrow (1) from Ryan Suzuki (2) and Felix Unger-Sorum (1) This is the Wolves first win of the season after they dropped their first game 4-1 to Milwaukee. Ryan Suzuki had the lone goal in that game and it was assisted by Aleksi Heimosalmi and Ty Smith. Suzuki currently leads the Wolves with one goal and two assists.

One bad period of hockey did us in. The good news is that we still look like at the very least a wild card team.

Pepe Lemieux with a goal for the Wolves

Only bad period of hockey we’ve had all year, hopefully we can rebound. In other news, Nadeau just scored his first goal for the Wolves.

2024 Charlotte FC Games Thread

Looks like we’ll be the 5th seed and take on Orlando in a best of 3. -
Atta boy Svech! Give me another one!
-
Svech, time to get on the board against the Blues.
-
Another good team win with everyone contributing. Defense looks really good this year. Even the Tampa score doesn’t reflect how good the defense played that game.
-
I felt like our fourth line had a good chance to be really good this year. They are already living up to expectations and then some.

If we get a healthy season out of Mark we’ll be in good shape. I feel like the starters will be Ball, Green (3&D), Miller, Bridges, and Mark with a combination of Mann, Martin, Salaun, Grant, and Richards off the bench. Curry, Gibson, and Smith will probably just be depth players. Simpson, Johnson, and Diabate will probably be in the G-League. I’m not sure what Micic’s role will be because he really seems to want to be in Denver. Giles, Jeffries, and Brown probably don’t have a place on the roster.

Let’s see Svech!!! get us going first tonight!

Agree, I don’t quite understand it. I wonder if it’s just one of those Jay Wright/Roy Williams situations where he just doesn’t like where college basketball is headed and can’t fully invest in it anymore.

College basketball losses a good one today. Enjoy retirement Tony B.
