  1. I mentioned Zegras as a possibility. Finished with 8 points in his last 8 games, 60 point center, with the right coaching he’s a 70 point player in my opinion. And he’s a center.
  2. For sure but he’s not a 2C and you can’t pay another 4C almost $4M, we are already paying a 3C (Kotkaniemi) almost $5M.
  3. That’s why you trade him. Rights get traded all the time with extensions in place.
  4. I want Kuznetsov to retire as well, at this point his career he’s not a 2C and last night doesn’t change that. He’s a streaky player that doesn’t provide anything if he’s not putting up points.
  5. I’m not a big fan of Necas. I don’t think he’s the type of player that really fits with Rod’s system. I think Necas is similar to a Skinner or Lindholm in that that he’d put up better offensive numbers in a different system but in our system he’s too streaky.
  6. The best possible scenario is winning the cup and Kuzy and Staal retiring to give us the cap space we need. Guentzel (re-sign) - Aho - Jarvis (re-sign) Svechnikov - Trade - Teravainen (re-sign) Martinooi (re-sign) - Kotkaniemi - Fast Nadeau - Drury (re-sign) - Noesen (re-sign) Veteran FA Slavin - Burns Orlov - Chatfield (re-sign) Skjei (re-sign) - Morrow Veteran Free Agent Andersen Kochetkov Anyone but Martin or Raanta - Staal and Kuzy retire. - Trade Necas and picks for a legit 2C. Maybe revisit Zegras, he had a great end to his season. - Let Pesce, DeAngelo, and Raanta walk. - We also need to figure out if we are going to re-sign Comtois, Suzuki, Burke, Tieksola, Murray, Coghlan, Mendel, and Smith for our AHL team.
  7. Yeah, no idea what happened but he’s out there giving up 5 goals in AHL games.
  8. You asked a week ago about him in the AHL so I started paying more attention… man, he’s been roughhhh. I feel so bad for the guy.
  9. Actually, better than scratch, just call him the emergency goalie. Cause technically he doesn’t fall under scratches since scratches can’t enter the game.
  10. He’s essentially a scratch, can’t play unless the other two get hurt and to my knowledge can’t be in gear until at least one injury occurs.
  11. Guentzel - Aho - Jarvis Teravainen - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Svechnikov Drury - Kuznetsov - Noesen Slavin - Burns Skjei - Pesce Orlov - Chatfield Andersen Kochetkov Injured - Fast Scratched - Lemiuex, Nadeau, Blake, DeAngelo, Morrow, Martin
  12. I took Dallas at -1.5 tonight because only Seguin is sitting. We’ll see what happens.
  13. It’s not random lists, it’s literally a common opinion that nearly every sports pundit holds. Not to mention, you’re completely missing the point… it’s not team based. It’s based on how hard it is for the champion to win. It’s not comparing the Hornets’ chances of win the the Larry O’Brien to Vegas’ chances of winning the Stanley Cup, which you seem hell bent on trying to do.
  14. It’s 100% true. It’s not about comparing an individual teams chances to win, it’s about comparing how difficult it is for the winning team to win. You can’t sit here and make caveats saying that if the NBA and MLB had this and that then it would be equal, bottom line is they don’t. Do a Google search for the “Hardest trophy to win in sports.” On every single list the Stanley Cup will be in the top three and on the majority of lists it’ll be first.
  15. Comtois played well, his hands are just terrible. In order from most likely to see the ice to least likely to see the ice should injuries occur, I have him in the middle. Kotkaniemi, Lemieux, Comtois, Nadeau, Blake Then for defense: DeAngelo, Morrow, Coghlan
  16. I actually like Washington getting in over Pittsburgh. Washington plays a heavy game, they’ll do their best to rough up the Rangers.
  17. He’s OHL eligible not sure if he’ll be there or if the Canes will get him signed. My bet is he’ll be in the OHL and the AHL team will have Martin and Perets.
  18. Comtois is a pair of hands away from being a decent NHL player lol. Hockey IQ is good, hands are subpar.
  19. Oh he’s dogshit lol, but if we are gonna throw away the game, we might as well give Raanta one more NHL game.
  20. It’s not, statistically the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win in sports (number of games needed to win, toll that hockey takes on the body, etc.). Not to mention, the NHL has the strictest and lowest salary cap in professional sports. That post just reads something like… “Fooseball and NASCAR are the only sports I watch.”
  21. Dundon and Tepper are acquaintances. Dundon has even mentioned that he likes Tepper and has brought up the possibility of a Canes game at BofA. With that said, billionaires aren’t usually the type of people that are going to beg for help. Now if Tepper wants to be like Dundon, then he should start by getting the hell out of the way.
