  1. 100%, Bridges is looking at Jerami Grant’s and Harrison Barnes’ contracts and wondering why he can’t get paid $20M a year when the cap is only going to continue to go up.
  2. Looks like no Rozier tonight. The starting five is: PG- LaMelo Ball SG- Gordon Hayward SF- Kelly Oubre PF- Miles Bridges C- Mason Plumlee I’d expect Ish Smith, Cody Martin, Jalen McDaniels, P.J. Washington, and possibly Nick Richards to get some run tonight. I assume James Bouknight will get a little run as well. I’m not expecting to see Vernon Carey, Kai Jones, or JT Thor and obviously Scottie Lewis and Arnoldas Kulboka are two-way players.
  3. Las year Bridges was like four made free throws away from becoming the 11th player in NBA history to record a 40-50-90 season, pay the man and realize that these types of contracts represent the new NBA.
  4. The big thing here as that there are really no free agents for them to sign. It was big last year for them because it allowed them to keep Gourde, Goodrow, Coleman, and Johnson, all of who are gone now. If Kucherov is out for a lengthy period of time then the Lightning could really struggle.
  5. Thank God for this hockey team because the Panthers have taken the joy out of football for me.
  6. Good win, off until Thursday so I guess I’ll subject myself to Hornets basketball on Wednesday.
  7. Going to have to go upstairs on Saros. Smaller goalie so room is available.
  8. Can’t score if you don’t shoot and no one wanted to.
  9. TDA’s shot always seems to get through which is a nice change from Babchuk, Faulk, and Hamilton.
  10. My stream is behind I was referring to when KK hit the post but that was a nice shot by Fast.
  11. KK has one of the better shots in the league when he can get it off.
  12. That’s very true and Andersen does look solid early.
  13. Lol come on, you can’t use one game to justify your point. Last year Saros was one of the best goalies in the NHL and kept Nashville in the series against us.
  14. We’re a better team but they have by far the better goalie which is the great equalizer. It’ll be a battle. As a team Nashville doesn’t scare me but Saros always seems to play us well. Hoping that he struggles tonight.
  15. Obviously, regardless of the sport, preseason is exactly what it is… preseason. Simply bringing it up because we faced them in the preseason and they played us really well but they were also icing an NHL lineup in both games.
  16. I think the Canes will be ready, RBA never really put out a full NHL lineup for the preseason games and for the most part he didn’t use lines that he’s using now. Nashville will see a different team from the one they played in preseason.
  17. Highly skilled winger from Stanford and I wouldn’t be shocked if he eventually ends up overseas. His journey will probably look similar to Cyle Larin’s. The MLS will help him get better technically for a few years then he’ll move on to Europe. There’s nothing wrong with that though, that’s how MLS teams make money. Bouda’s willingness to take players one on one is what makes him exciting and his speed and overall skill are top notch. He has 9 goals and 13 assists in his 33 games with Stanford.
  18. I’ll be following, unfortunately I don’t live in the area anymore but I’ll definitely go to games when Charlotte plays Orlando City. I’m definitely looking forward to the SuperDraft and expansion draft, I actually coached against the kid that went number one overall in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft. If Ousseni Bouda comes out he has to be the pick in the SuperDraft. I’m excited to see the player pool for the expansion draft.
  19. He has to physically play. With that in mind, I would think you’d want to get him involved early because the longer you wait the less games he’ll play on his first year. That’s unless the Canes have already made the decision to essentially keep Jarvis here as the extra and let him play nine games and then regardless of how he does send him back to the OHL.
  20. Bummed not to see Jarvis yet but I understand the whole ‘if it’s not broke don’t fix it’ idea. After all, outside of very small portions of the game the Canes were the better team against an Islanders team that is projected to make a deep run.
  21. I didn’t watch the whole game but he finished as a +3. TDA finished with 2 assists and a +1. I think these two will be linked together for the entire year.
  22. Dougie gets his first as a Devil 17 seconds into the game. I’d be pissed of it wasn’t for TDA having a great game yesterday.
  23. Top line KK with elite skaters in Aho and Necas is interesting. On one hand I’m like this won’t work because he’ll always be trailing the play but on the other hand I’m like maybe he’ll get some nice chances in the slot if he’s always lagging behind.
  24. Trocheck is currently on IR which might be why Rees is still up. I assume Rees will stay up until Trocheck is ready to roll then head to Chicago. I think Drury is up for good and will fill in wherever he is needed and Jarvis is on a 9 game tryout. I would not be surprised if any of the guy put on waivers today were claimed. Lajoie and Gelinas are definitely better than some other teams 7’s. Then you have Noesen and Smith who showed that they can be solid fourth liners against NHL quality players… and obviously Leivo has the track record. We’ll see.
  25. Final roster moves being made. Current Roster Forward (15): Svech, Aho, Necas, KK, Trocheck, Turbo, Nino, Staal, Fast, Marty, Stepan, Lorentz, Jarvis, Drury, Rees Defense (7): Slavin, Pesce, Skjei, TDA, Bear, Cole, Smith Goalie (2): Andersen, Raanta At least one more must go.
