  1. Blazers are fools for the poo they pulled bringing all those former NBA players.
  2. Grant Riller and Sneed are hard to watch. Riller just doesn’t have good handles and his court vision is poor.
  3. Would have to assume Thor isn’t getting minutes since he just started practicing a day ago.
  4. Agreed. And with LaMelo he can just hang out in the paint and catch lobs.
  5. Hornets down 42-34 at half. Kai Jones and James Bouknight leading the way. Jones - 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block Bouknight - 7 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block Not a whole lot going on from anyone else.
  6. Bouknight and Jones are both going to be really solid. Bouknight has some Lillard in his game. He was compared to Devin Booker a bit but he’s a much better iso player and distributor of the ball.
  7. Well… it’s easy to tell which team has a bunch of former NBA players on it.
  8. Down 21-17 after 1. Bouknight leading the way with 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block
  9. Bouknight can do a little bit of everything. I also think DJ Carton is going to be a steal. His ability to push the pace is going to helpful.
  10. Full Roster Guards - James Bouknight, Grant Riller, Scottie Lewis, D.J. Carton, Kenny Williams, Joel Berry Forwards - JT Thor, LiAngelo Ball, Arnoldas Kulboka, Xavier Sneed, Denzel Mahoney, Cameron McGriff, Centers - Vernon Carey, Kai Jones, Nick Richards Joel Berry replaces Nate Darling who will not compete due to an injury. The Blazers are treating the summer league like the NBA Playoffs, their roster is below: Guards - Emmanuel Mudiay, Antonio Blakeney, Kobi Simmons, Jordan Crawford, CJ Elleby, Milton Doyle Forwards - Nassir Little, Michael Beasley, Greg Brown, George King, Erik McCree, Mark Vital, Trendon Watford Centers - Kenneth Faried, Kaleb Wesson
  11. Also on the ESPN app, just have to login with your cable provider.
  12. D.J. Carton has just been added to the roster and slots in as the third point guard for the moment. PG - LaMelo Ball, Ish Smith, D.J. Carton SG - Terry Rozier, James Bouknight, Cody Martin, Scottie Lewis (TW) SF - Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre, Jalen McDaniels, Wesley Iwundu PF - Miles Bridges, P.J. Washington, JT Thor, Arnoldas Kulboka (TW) C - Mason Plumlee, Kai Jones, Vernon Carey, Nick Richards You have to think that LiAngelo takes the final spot and will fight for a final roster spot with Carton, Martin, Iwundu, and Richards. Three of those five would have to go.
  13. Have to assume they were checking in on Malik. I do find it fascinating that many on this board were infatuated with Zach Wilson who couldn’t get it done against Coastal while Malik who had very similar passing stats (minus the two interceptions) managed to upset the Chants and absolutely obliterated Coastal on the ground is getting the cold shoulder from those same people.
  14. The choice to trade him is rather interesting. I’d have strongly considered going into the luxury tax to keep him that way when Rozier walks next year we still have a solid backcourt.
  15. Looks like everything is official as of now. PG - LaMelo Ball, Ish Smith SG - Terry Rozier, James Bouknight, Cody Martin, Scottie Lewis (TW) SF - Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre, Jalen McDaniels, Wesley Iwundu PF - Miles Bridges, P.J. Washington, JT Thor, Arnoldas Kulboka (TW) C - Mason Plumlee, Kai Jones, Vernon Carey, Nick Richards The Hornets had to waive Caleb Martin to get under the cap to sign Ish Smith. As of right now the roster sits at 18, the Hornets can carry up to 20 during the summer so they could always add LiAngelo Ball and one of the summer league point guards (Grant Riller, Joel Berry, D.J. Carton, Nate Darling) to round out the training camp roster. Cody Martin’s contract becomes guaranteed on 8/15. The Hornets could choose to waive him or allow his contract to become guaranteed then trade him (assuming he doesn’t make the roster). Under the new CBA non-guaranteed contracts do not count as outgoing salaries in trades so as of right now his contract isn’t tradeable. Jalen McDaniels contract became guaranteed on 8/1. The Hornets need to have their roster down to 15 players with 2 two-way players before the season starts.
  16. Ish Smith deal is now official which means the roster is at 18 with 2 two-way players. Either someone is getting waived or another trade is coming as the roster needs to be at 17 with 2 two-way players.
  17. Plumlee is one of the better big man passers in the NBA believe it or not. You’ll catch him threading the needle and hitting back door cuts on occasion. Overall he’s a better fit for what we’re trying to do.
  18. Not a chance that Melo had anything to do with Monk no longer being on the Hornets, Bouknight on the other hand…
  19. The Blazers are treating the summer league like the NBA Playoffs, their roster is below: Guards - Emmanuel Mudiay, Antonio Blakeney, Kobi Simmons, Jordan Crawford, CJ Elleby, Milton Doyle Forwards - Nassir Little, Michael Beasley, Greg Brown, George King, Erik McCree, Mark Vital, Trendon Watford Centers - Kenneth Faried, Kaleb Wesson
  20. Summer league kicks off tomorrow, we play the Blazers at 6:00PM on NBATV (I think the game can also be streamed from the ESPN app). JT Thor has officially joined the roster since the Plumlee trade became official. Full Roster Guards - James Bouknight, Grant Riller, Scottie Lewis, D.J. Carton, Kenny Williams, Joel Berry Forwards - JT Thor, LiAngelo Ball, Arnoldas Kulboka, Xavier Sneed, Denzel Mahoney, Cameron McGriff, Centers - Vernon Carey, Kai Jones, Nick Richards Joel Berry replaces Nate Darling who will not compete due to an injury.
