  1. Here’s your ball game right here. Harrell and Gafford in the first half - 25 points Harrell and Gafford in the second half - 10 points We locked down their bigs in the second half and with the Wizards only shooting 19% from three that effectively finished them. Shoutout to Nick Richards, Kelly Oubre, and Cody Martin who brought the defense in the second half.
  2. For me it’s more about the rim protection… buttttt… if Richards can protect the rim like he did in the second half then maybe it’s not necessary.
  3. Yep, I live in Orlando and have seen him play a few times. He’s been solid this year. Issue for him is that Wendell Carter has been better. From what I’ve heard, it’s unlikely that he’ll be in the Magic’s future plans but he’ll definitely command a big market from playoff contenders. Magic will want young players back with term along with some draft picks.
  4. It wouldn’t be cheap but I think this is one situation where being a divisional opponent wouldn’t matter that much. I think they’ll take the best offer for Bamba and I don’t expect him to fetch the same type of return that Myles Turner would. I’d suspect P.J. Washington, Nick Richards, and the protected first round pick from New Orleans (which will certainly become two seconds) would get the job done. Magic could roll with a lineup of Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Issac, P.J. Washington, and Wendell Carter with Hampton, Ross, F. Wagner, M. Wagner, and Richards coming off the bench. Hornets could roll with Ball, Rozier, Hayward, Bridges, and Bamba with Smith, Martin, Oubre, McDaniels, and Plumlee coming off the bench. Rest of the bench would be made up of Bouknight, Jones, and Carey.
  5. Unlikely, he’s on an expiring deal and the Magic aren’t competing for the playoffs. Not saying the price wouldn’t be high but since he’s on the last year of his deal it wouldn’t prevent the Magic from trading him within the division. Magic will just take the best offer for him.
  6. We’re going to have to trade for a big. Mo Bamba from Orlando is going to be a hot candidate, I’d be interested to see what they would want from us.
  7. Whalers night usually includes a poster. I have the one from two years ago when Reimer shutout the Kings.
  8. I think we have a solid squad but I also think we have a ridiculous difficult schedule this year… it’s unfortunate that it played out like this. We currently have the fifth most difficult schedule in the NBA and are the only team with a winning record out of those five teams.
  9. We poo all down our leg for two minutes and now the games tied. Tell Slavin that if we don’t win we’re taking him to the strip club… guaranteed victory.
  10. Official Line-Up Svech - Aho - Jarvy Turbo - Trocheck - Necas Nino - Staal - Fast Marty - KK - Lorentz Slavin - Bear Skjei - DeAngelo Smith - Cole Raanta Andersen Scratched: Stepan Injured: Pesce
  11. Brandt has always been a believer of the Panthers, it’s a nice change of pace from most of the main stream medium. Hell, Bradshaw and Cowturd didn’t even know we had a team before Darnold.
  12. Here’s the kicker… why pay Darnold $9M when you can pay Trubisky $3M? No one is going to want Darnold even at $9M unless a second or third is attached to him. Back up QB’s don’t make $9M a year…
  13. Not saying this will be an easy win, after all, it’s a west coast road trip… but… Vegas has injuries all over their roster. We need to take advantage and put together a nice string of wins here. Our division is starting to tighten up.
  14. Why do people want to keep Darnold? With the way practice squad’s are setup now there is absolutely no reason to keep more than two QB’s on the roster (as soon as Cam is up to speed Matt Barkley will be cut). Draft a QB that can learn under Cam, get rid of Darnold, and let’s close the book on him. Keeping him does nothing for Darnold or the Panthers. In fact, keeping Darnold prohibits the Panthers from planning for the future.
  15. Projected Lines coming in hot. Per those in the know, KK was practicing face-off’s in practice this morning and either Stepan or Lorentz will be the healthy extra. Svech - Aho - Jarvis Turbo - Trocheck - Necas Nino - Staal - Fast Martinook - Kotkaniemi - Stepan/Lorentz Slavin - Bear Skjei - DeAngelo Smith - Cole Raanta Andersen Injured: Pesce
  16. The only and absolutely only reason we should give up more draft capital in order to get rid of Darnold is if Reddick, Jackson, Gilmore, and Cam approach the front office and indicate that they want to stay with the team and that they’d be willing to take team friendly deals to do so. We’d need the extra $18M to keep all four of the players above. Otherwise Jackson or Gilmore will be gone and at that point you cut Darnold and eat the $18M. There’s absolutely no way you keep him on the roster, he was brought in to be the starter or at the very least compete for the starting job. With Cam supplanting him, his time here is done and a rookie QB should be in order as they would gain a lot from being under Cam’s wing. Gilmore, Reddick, Jackson, Cam, and Luvu are the only guys that are really must haves in my opinion. It would be nice to keep DaQuan Jones, Juston Burris, Brandon Zylstra, Marquise Haynes, Jermaine Carter, and Kenny Robinson but they are replaceable if it comes down the issue with cap space.
  17. What’s funny is in the postgame interview that’s what he said he tried to do… he just obviously did it very, very, very poorly.
  18. Well for starters I don’t think we should have gotten rid of Cam… if we don’t get rid of him then we probably aren’t having this discussion. Knowing that we did ultimately get rid of Cam, I personally wanted Trubisky on a one year deal. I guess kudos to the staff for trying to find a replacement but I’m not too thrilled about giving up draft capital for a player who won’t be a part of our future going forward. I think Matt Nagy is a QB killer and would have liked to seen Trubisky in a different offense. I’d take Trubisky on a 1yr./$2.5M deal over trading assets away for Sam Darnold (and then picking up his 5th year option). Both are risks but one risk doesn’t have the same repercussions as the other risk. I guess on the bright side Darnold helped us get Cam back. I’m not entirely sure Trubisky would have been bad enough for that to happen.
  19. The Rams look like trash tonight and they have the Packers next week… implosion incoming?
  20. A Rams win makes it difficult for the 49ers to potentially make a run. A win tonight by San Fran and the 49ers could find themselves at 9 wins with with wins over Jacksonville, Minnesota, Atlanta, Seattle, and Houston. I think it’s in the best interest of the Panthers that the Rams win.
  21. Really could use some help from the Rams tonight… San Francisco would be 4-5 with a win tonight and they have outstanding games against the Jaguars, Vikings, Seahawks, Falcons, and Texans… all winnable games… winning those games would put them at nine wins.
  22. Is Jalen Ramsey pissed that his coach isn’t allowing him to play press man or is he pissed that he’s getting that ass taken out back behind the shed???
  23. Nice article on the current makeup of our roster. For those that aren’t aware, each team is provided with eight international player slots, players on green cards do not take up an international player slot. The current makeup is as follows: Adam Armour (USA), Brandt Bronico (USA), Christian Fuchs (Austria - Green Card), Sergio Ruiz (Spain - Intl. Slot), Riley McGree (Australia - Intl. Slot), Jan Sobocinski (Poland - Intl. Slot), Guzman Corujo (Uruguay - Intl. Slot), and Jordy Alcivar (Ecuador - Intl. Slot) Five of Charlotte’s eight players currently occupy an international player slot. The good news is we have acquired two additional international player slots to bring our total to ten. That means that we have currently used five of our ten international player slots but we could see some of the slots open back up with a few of the above players in the process of obtaining green cards. Charlotte can still acquire three designated players (Alcivar may become one of them, it’s undecided) and they also have the expansion draft and MLS Super Draft coming up. The total roster is comprised of up to 30 players and with five players potentially being added during the expansion draft and an additional three players added in the SuperDraft, we’ll be well on our way to a full roster shortly.
