Still nothing official on Blake. -
Lmao I hope that’s a good thing.

Love this, the organization needs a culture reset and if anything I really like Canales’ energy.

I think you hit on the main thing earlier. Kids want to play in the NHL right away, Rod’s never been about that though. -

Mentioned our struggles but I imagine every team is having issues. Said that the vultures we’re circling around Scott Morrow and that Justin Williams had to do the heavy lifting with Nadeau. They need to close the college - free agency loop hole. -

They get into our bit around the five minute mark, some interesting stuff on Morrow and Nadeau. Sounds like we’re really having to battle to sign these college kids. -

Podcast, his are pretty good. Discusses Guentzel a bit as well. https://www.sportsnet.ca/podcasts/32-thoughts/ -
Deja Kelly has entered the transfer portal, hopefully she doesn’t take R.J. with her.

It was done before you even submitted your post, not my fault you can’t wait two seconds to respond.

Answered above. How long are we gonna do this?

I literally said he doesn’t… I said bulking up isn’t going to make him more durable. Every athlete does strength training, cardio, etc., but for most it’s to maintain a current weight or get slightly bigger, not get jacked like Murray did. Reread my post and let’s try again.
-
There’s a difference between strength training and adding 10 lbs. of muscle… let’s not be naive, shall we.
-
It’s not a big deal, people are complaining just to complain. The majority of QB injuries are lower body or hand related anyway so the argument that bulking up will make Bryce more durable is foolish. Only Watson and Richardson suffered shoulder injuries last year and they are already much bigger than Bryce so the idea that Bryce needs to bulk up is idiotic. I also love how bulking up is supposed to make a QB more durable and the two QB’s used as an example in this thread have their own injury history (concussions and ACL). It’s all just a bunch of nonsense.

Excited to hear more from Canales as the offseason ramps up. He’s a really likeable guy, hope it all works out for him and the Panthers.

I’d like to get Skjei at $6.5 and Guentzel at $8.5. Let Pesce walk and hope someone offer sheets Necas (but a trade is more likely). Sign Jarvis to a bridge and make it up to him once the cap goes up. Extend Chatfield long term. As for other guys, I’m hoping Teravainen takes a discount and if Martinook, Drury (on a bridge), and Noesen take discounts then bring them back as well. No interest in bringing back DeAngelo or Raanta. It’ll be interesting to see if we bring back a bunch of prospects, if we have an AHL team we’ll have to. -

Friedman did a piece on the Canes. Highlights - Pesce turned down an offer earlier in the year, he’s most likely gone. - The Canes are trying to work something out with Skjei, it could go either way. - The Canes want Chatfield back. - Necas is most likely gone. -

Chiclets said Blake had been signed, we’ll see if that’s accurate. -
Kentucky needs to embrace their inner desire to cheat and hire Pitino.

Rumor is that Jackson Blake has signed his ELC, it will be announced tomorrow. Canes now have four (Morrow, Nadeau, Blake, Unger-Sorum) of their top five (Nikishin) prospects under contract. See ya in 2025, Alex. -
Calipari might be bolting Kentucky for Arkansas in the middle of the night.

Caps lose in OT, that’s a massive point dropped. I could be wrong but if the Ave’s beat the Stars tonight then we’ll jump the Star’s due to RW’s. That would mean the top three teams are in east. -
You’re right, Zion blew out a pair of Nike’s. And honestly, for me, it’s more about the person. The Hornets desperately need a leader; Melo doesn’t even have to play to be that guy, but that’s not who he is. In hindsight, the Hornets should have traded that pick for a draft night haul.

Canes vs Blue Jackets 5pm
MillionDollarCam replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Like what Tripp had to say about the Canes going forward. We’re going up to Boston with the intent to win, then we’ll come home for a quick break and regroup. Guys who are banged up come out and guys who may not want to risk it come out. We need to get guys like Kotkaniemi, Lemiuex, DeAngelo, and Martin in so they are fresh and if the young guys like Nadeau, Morrow, and Blake (if he signs) are ready, then get them in the game so they can get an early taste of NHL life. Trikozov’s contract doesn’t start until next year which is why I didn’t mention him. Also, I’d approach Raanta and ask if he wants to come up for the playoffs. If he’d prefer to continue playing in Chicago then great, but if he wants to be a part of the team for the playoffs then they need to make it happen. -
I don’t even want to give that idiot (LaVar) a response but he might be on to something with the shoes. It is odd that all of Puma’s athletes (LaMelo, Barrett, Ayton, Smart, Kuzma) suffer from ankle issues.
