  1. Not entirely sure what that safety was doing…
  2. Miller Miss reminds me so much of Stetson Bennett, he just throws that poo up there and let’s his guys make plays.
  3. Definitely isn’t a typical Lincoln Riley defense, USC is much more aggressive and are tackling much better.
  4. Wednesday too, CUSA decided to play Wednesday conference games to get the conference on national TV.
  5. Miller Moss (USC) vs. Garrett Nussmeier (LSU)
  6. Not college football related but I see Ben Navarro’s (the guy that should have been our owner) daughter beat defending US Open champ Coco Gauff.
  7. T-Mac is good but he’s going to get dinged if that 40 time is in the 4.5 range and he’s going to get dinged because of the conference he’s playing in. Wether we want to believe it or not, there’s SEC bias. Burden will go first.
  8. I was joking with a friend that I wish we had Drake for one more year.
  9. Most schedules are done way in advance. Notre Dame has USC and Nacy on the schedule until 2028 I believe and they were able to keep Stanford after Stanford made the jump to the ACC this year.
  10. For those that like the WR position, keep an eye on Zachariah Branch from USC, he’s already drawing comparisons to Tyreek Hill as just a sophomore. If he continues trending upward he’ll be a top five pick in 2025. USC has a lot more weapons than LSU and I actually prefer Miller Moss to Garrett Nussmeier. If Lynn has improved USC on the defensive side of the ball then USC could pull the upset.
  11. He did, he hired Anthony Lynn’s son D’Anton who turned around UCLA’s defense before jumping ship to USC.
  12. Interested to see WR, C.J. Daniels for LSU tonight. He’s LSU X receiver and defacto number one receiver after transferring in from Liberty where he had 55 receptions for 1,067 yards, and 10 TD’s as a Junior. Nussmeier doesn’t have the typical weapons that LSU QB’s have been accustomed to so it’ll interesting to see how LSU’s offense looks.
  13. History be damned this might be the coolest hype video I’ve ever seen.
  14. I’d argue that corner has more value because there’s currently none in the NFL that completely shutdown one side of the field but there’s multiple WR’s that can take over a game (Lamb, Chase, Hill, etc.). Even with a good pass rush and safety play, QB’s are getting the ball out quicker than ever. An elite corner than can play press-man literally shuts down half the field. I mean we don’t have to look further than what Hunter’s coach did in the league. Just look over the past 5 years, there’s been more CB’s picked in the top 5 picks than WR’s. Every team is looking for the next lockdown guy. Again this year you have Will Johnson from Michigan projected to go before any of the receivers.
  15. Won’t happen because while it’s a weak QB draft it’s a strong OT draft at the top and a high end EDGE in James Pearce will also be available. A WR hasn’t went first overall since the 90’s when Keyshawn went first.
  16. Believe it or not some scouts want him more as a CB because of his size. There simply aren’t guys his size that move the way he does at the corner position. His size and speed at the wide receiver position is uncommon but not as uncommon - see Garrett Wilson. He may not be as good of a corner as he is a WR but I know there’s a few NFL teams out there that would certainly like to try him there because there simply aren’t lockdown 6-1, 185 lb., 4.3 40 corners in the NFL that move the way he does.
  17. Unfortunately that won’t happen because scouts can’t make up their mind on where to play him and he won’t play both ways to the extent he does at the college level. The eye test says he should be a receiver but all of the metrics say he should be a corner. It’s an interesting situation.
  18. Think people might be sleeping on USC tonight. Miller Moss looked really good against Louisville in the Holiday Bowl last year and he has some unproven but highly touted receivers to throw the ball to in Branch, Robinson, and Lemon. USC’s issue has always been defense and they handed the reigns over to Anthony Lynn’s son, D’Anton, who completely turned around UCLA’s defense before jumping ship to USC.
