He’s your typical stand up OLB, but the Commanders used him as a hand in the dirt DE more often than not. There’s definitely some potential there in the right system. Not sure if you saw the Commanders/Patriots game but he explodes off the edge. He’s actually the one that knocked Brissett out of the game. And Adam Peters is making it personal, he’s cut every single Rivera pick from 2023 except their first and second round guys.

I’d honestly take him over Boone, loved Gore at Southern Miss when he was playing SuperBack because their QB’s were poo.

I mean he was a stud at Clemson, looked good last year in limited playing time, had a great preseason. He’s still young so our coaching staff can coach out any bad habits he may have picked up. Just a lot of potential there. I don’t love him with his hand in the ground but as a standup outside LB I think he could be a good rotational piece.

Adam Peters making it a little personal with the way he’s throwing out Rivera’s guys… With that said… K.J. Henry come on down, you are the next contestant on who wants to be a Carolina Panther.

Jayden Peevy and Demani Richardson are the only real surprises to make the initial roster. Both from A&M.

This goes to show that the preseason is pointless. Matthews did damn well everything he could during the preseason games to show that he deserved a roster spot but the coaches felt differently. Drop all the preseason games and start the season one week before college football. Coaches are making their roster decisions based off of practices anyway.

Wonder how far Marshall makes it down the list… Commanders, Patriots, and Chargers all seem like they could use help.

Too much tape on Desmond Ridder, we know he’s ass. Worked to Malik Willis’ advantage with there not being a whole lot of tape on him so the Packers took a swing.

Headed straight to the Sleeper app to put in a claim for Marshall before becomes Washington’s WR2.

Desmond King is an interesting cut. A little older but a decent corner.

Steven Gilmore (Stephon’s brother) was cut, he went scorched earth on us for the Lions last year (preseason).

He seems to get guys that he’s coached before. Not sure if Jackson would want to but he’d be a good depth piece. Unless we feel like Nick Scott can develop into anything (I personally don’t), I don’t see the harm in bringing in a guy familiar with Evero’s system. Jackson could be good for someone like Jammie Robinson (should we choose to keep him).

Wonder if Evero tries to get his guy Kareem Jackson.

I guess Boone is one of the cuts that will get Sam Franklin and Dane Jackson on IR. I’m guessing he’ll be back.

Ronnie Harrison is an interesting cut. The Colts used him in the same way the Panthers used Chinn but Harrison just lost out to the numbers game. He can play linebacker or safety and would be the best safety on the roster not named Xavier Woods or Jordan Fuller.

Jonathan Brooks, Dane Jackson, D.J. Wonnum, Sam Franklin, and Amare Barno will eventually take five of those spots. Could see Marshall/Moore making it as the sixth WR and Raym making it as the backup center. Wouldn’t be surprised to see guys like T.J. Smith, Claudin Cherelus, and Jammie Robinson moved out if there are better options on the waiver wire.

The play design of the Thielen catch and run was awesome. Love seeing Canales get BY out of the pocket more.

Bryce is very good on the run and very good outside the pocket, why Frank tried to force BY into being a straight drop QB, I’ll never know. But the RPO roll out play where BY rolled out to the right and hit Thielen was a thing of beauty. Awesome play design by Canales and it really takes advantage of BY’s strengths.

Also signed Jamie Paterson. Think he’ll spend the rest of the season with Crown Legacy.

No Clowney, Wonnum, Jackson, Horn, and Woods will make the defense look much worse than it is.
