The real owner we missed out on… Mark Richardson
gofightwin replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
LOL. Mark Richardson would make Mark Davis look uber-rich. He would have no real net worth beyond the team he inherited and any cash daddy gave him. No thanks. I want an owner that has his own skin in the game, not something he inherited from Daddy. -
Rhule has had 4 former 1st round QB picks behind center and none have been able to win.

I just don't understand why they do what they do. At no point should he not be in on a 3rd down but why why why is he in there every first down? Run Freeman hard on obvious running downs. He has proven he can do it and we just drafted a huge run blocking LT. Give CMC breaks after we get a first down. Or when we are pinned deep and its obvious we are just going to run 3 times...run Freeman for a series or until we get past the 20.

I can assure you there is enough people with money in this town that can buy a "limited amount" of $350 ticket add-ons. I don't think you understand what "limited" is. If you want to go see the players walk from their car to the stadium for free...go stand on the sidewalk where they come by. See...that's not so hard. If you drive a $150k Range Rover and want to have unlimited drinks, food, a tent and a seat, then you can pay the $350pp. Y'all act like he is building some secret tunnel from the Players lot to the stadium and the only way to see them now is with some secret society $350 add-on. FFS.

Predict the initial 53 man roster for 2022
gofightwin replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
That backup OL/DL situation is horrifying. One young guy (Mays) and the bunch of guys proven to be the worst starters we may have ever seen. At least Mays can play the whole line in a pinch. On DL, Haynes and Barno are situational backups at best and the rest of the guys wouldn't even make a decent squad. We really need some veteran backup linemen even if they are past their prime. I think we hit the cuts hard for both OL and DL and churn the bottom of the roster -
Our starters are so good, they don't actually need to practice. We won 10 games! Yes over two years but still. Last year we even beat 3 of the worst teams.

Story on the Joe Brady situation from Charles Robinson..
gofightwin replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
They could have hired an old experienced OC and had Brady be passing game coordinator and still pay him a ton and actually learn the OC job. But always with the big splash that turns into the big belly flop. -
Cowboys Panthers 2004 playoff game for me. Everyone was so drunk for the nighttime kickoff and the crowd was louder than it had ever been. Only time it truly felt like a big time college rivalry game in the stadium. It was better than the 2015 NFC championship. Wasn’t in town for the first time we played and beat the cowboys in the playoffs.

Sounds like a Panthers scouting report. I'm sure we will thank them later then Rhule picks up the cut guys from Baylor.

Yep. Hubbard will be CMC's backup but Foreman should be the #2 guy off the bench. As in if CMC goes down for any stretch, Hubbard probably gets the call because he has a bigger toolbox. Foreman has 18 catches in his career but his is molded as a traditional RB...which we haven't used in 5 years.

His offense consists of zero active game day roster players Kind is hard to judge lol.

Future work on the site, not future projects. You can be damn sure they had contracts with suppliers and builders to build out the site and most of that was never started or completed.
-
If Rock Hill accepts payment, there is probably no lawsuit. A STFU and go away parting gift. It would cost more in time and lawyer fees to drag this on.
-
They filed bankruptcy so they don't have to pay for other contracts they signed for future work. They never said they weren't going to pay for work done. They said from the beginning that want to pay everyone who is owed. But there was probably 500mil more of contract that were awarded for work on site that was never started and if they didn't file bankruptcy, those with contracts could come after their money. Chapter 11 is a finances reorg to pay of debts and cancel contracts.

How much playing time will Matt Corral get on Saturday?
gofightwin replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Based on media reports of his snaps...about half of the fourth quarter. -
Key to the offence: Brady Christensen

I’ve spent the 4th of July in London a couple years ago…not a single firework. Sad. Probably had some this year though with their buffoon PM getting the boot. -
The only stat that will count is wins. Who cares if he has 15 ints and we win? The top 10 highest thrown interceptions list is littered with hall of famers. darnold threw ints but also never threw us back into a game. He was fine with a lead and protection.
-
He got millions of dollars to do nothing after he got fired (had two years left on his contract). Maybe he wasn't looking that hard and then decided after that money dwindled to get back into coaching.

Baker Mayfield and Scott Fitterer presser today at noon.
gofightwin replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
No one has said they hate Sam for anything he has ever done outside of gameday. He might not be the most charismatic QB to ever grace us, but he has never really done anything outside of being a crappy QB on gameday. -
Why hasn't there been a press conference yet? We trade for the presumable starting QB and haven't heard a word from him via the team.
-
We haven't had a QB that can consistently hit a WR in stride 30yds downfield since Delhomme. Jake could lead Smitty/Moose on the fingertips full stride. Those Mayfield clips have to get DJ excited.

Training camp for Baker will be very rocky. Dude has like 3 weeks to learn the playbook. However by pre-season game 3, he starts looking like the starter and gets the nod week 1. If they look anywhere close to equal by end of pre-season, 100% Baker starts. Sam will look "decent" in pre-season and will be traded by week 3 to an team with QB injuries, even if it is to be backup. Corral looks like a rookie. Will play good against 3rd stringers in pre-season 4th quarters. Huddle will say he would be the starter. PJ gonna be working at Bojangles.
