Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official
SteveSmithTD89 replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hate it for Frank the man but I think we all knew despite the rose colored glasses that being a homer, having the number 1 pick, the collective greatness of the staff on paper all brings that this was never going to work out. Even his staunchest defenders likely came to that realization around the Miami game I'd imagine. The offense is archaic and despite the holes on the roster (don't get me started on Fitt... firmly believe he should have been the first to go) there is simply no scheme, adjustment or improvement on a game by game basis. We bickered back and forth about "its just preseason" and when reporters questioned what our identity was as an offense because it was impossible to discern during our 4 games his response was "Good" as if it were all by design while the writing was on the wall the entire time. The fact that this offense after 11 putrid games makes me yearn for the days of Joe Brady, Ben McAdoo and Mike Shula should be all the confirmation needed something needed to change. I imagine he lost the locker room as well. Players have been checked out for about a month now. All the best to Frank and his family, it was a great story but that's all it was. Here's to hoping 3rd times the charm! -
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. This offense is archaic and the epitome of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. That said idk if I'm in on Evero anymore. Dropping Burns back into coverage on consecutive drop backs to open the game and in key situations like the end of half drive is beyond idiotic. If he's going to keep doing stupid poo like that he can collect his thing and join Frank in the unemployment line

Enjoy man!

I would take him over Eddy. Hes welcome on the Panthers for sure.

Well alrighty then

It blows my mind he's still playing through that if that's what it is. Our safety I played with in high school almost lost his leg to the same thing. Hurt his leg and played through it woke up the next morning and his entire leg was brusied and swollen. Found out his muscle was detached and went through emergency surgery same day.

Louisville will get a chance to take a deep shot in the 4th just like he did against UVA last week. Miami is asking for it. Brohm will draw it up probably to Huggins-Bruce and we'll see if Plummer can hit it but there should be a shot play in the next 4-5 snaps.
-
Man as a Louisville fan it kills me watching Plummer. Brohm got a late start to recruiting getting hired in late so I get it, you're scrambling to find someone who can run your offense but at this point in the season with 5 QBs on this roster and one of them being a 4 star guy I refuse to believe he's still the best answer.
-
The longer this game stays out of Van Dykes hands the better Miami's chances.
-
They'd be 10-0 if he was even slightly average. Plummer is trash. Has been all season. The Run game and Defense have been top tier.

Albert Breer: both Reich and Fitterer back in ‘24
SteveSmithTD89 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
2024 is 6 weeks away..... Never said he thinks both make it to the 2024 season... (let me cope) -
100% agree with you. That said I'd be remiss if we didn't acknowledge while our line may be better (even that's debatable) I'd take Bienemy over Reich/Brown and any of their position players over ours. Straight up. Brian Robinson > Miles, Chuba Logan Thomas > Hurst, Tremble, Ian Terry, Curtis, Dotson > Thielen, Chark, Mingo

Official Colts at Panthers Gameday Thread
SteveSmithTD89 replied to Mage's topic in Carolina Panthers
I fuging hate this team. In fact the only thing I hate more is myself for allowing myself to buy back into the hype this off season. -
Get right and healthy this week and win convincingly against Houston with the offensive line, Bryce and Thomas Brown/playcalling looking like we'd hoped they would a month ago and I'd say we'd have at least a very good chance winning the next 3. I'm not holding my breath though. Nothing I've seen to indicate the team can even put it all together for a half let alone 11 straight games.
-
Bright side isn't Corbett due to return to practice any day now? He was just out the first 4 games so should be able to return and open the 21 day window soon.... I hope. Season is toast at this point and 0-4 but my Sundays would be more enjoyable if we could field a competent offense. Not like we have our own first to lose out for.
-
Bryce Young legit looks like the worst QB in the NFL 4 weeks in. Whether that's him, Reichs system or Fitts players remains to be seen but outside of maybe like 3-5 throws all year he has not flashed at all. When we get to 0-6 the seats going to get warm... If we drop the next 2 to the Bears and Texans to fall to 0-8 and there's been no improvement from the offense someone (likely Fitt) is going to be fired.
-
Was assured numerous times RBs were a dime a dozen and we could easily find a cheaper replacement just as competent in FA or the draft. Someine just like Miles Sanders. Meanwhile dude has more TDs today than our entire offense under Bryce Young lol. Trading him away was the first of many mistakes made in an off-season where we absolutely could not afford any. Thank goodness we made that trade so we could have the ammo needed to still trade away DJ Moore for #1 and move up in the draft for DJ Johnson. Oh and don't forget the cap flexibility to make sure we could re-sign Burns who *checks notes* still isn't re-signes...
-
Can't fug up the draft picks if you don't have any to make... If there's another trade to be made out there ala Gilmore for a 5th pull it. Of course other side of the coin there are the bad trades Fitts made (Darnold and Henderson) Worth keeping tabs on Cincinnati to see how they do thus weekend. 1-3 and Tee Higgins becomes more and more available. We of course will just low ball him and watch him walk anyways but thats part of the fun at this point.

Andy Isabella is a name that strikes me as a particular fit. Checks primary need for speed. Also only 26 so should have a few years left. Outside of that it's a bunch of names and aging Vets. Chris Conley, Julio Jones, Robbie Chosen Anderson, Kenny Golladay, TY Hilton, Jarvis Landry. Big Yikes. Maybe other teams PS would be better to look through.

Aight pay him lol -
I'm gonna be honest. I can't imagine he's gonna have a choice. Will be Carolina or off to sell insurance.
