With only 2.5 RBs currently on the roster (CMC, Chuba and *Cannon) add RB to the list of positions we'll be looking for on waivers! LB, RB, OL... QB??? K? And maybe WR until Shi is healthy. Fitty gonna be busy!

Does anyone know the rules in terms of guys we claim off waivers? Do they have to be guaranteed a spot on the week 1 roster? Or can we just kick the tires a bit?

But hasn't he been on PUP all training camp? A player on PUP in camp can stay on PUP and then come off in 6 weeks. But you can't designate someone new as PUP now.

So as things stand now, 10 of 11 2021 draft picks are on the roster, and Fletcher is stashed on season-long IR. Incredible all-in with the youth movement. But honestly they've all looked pretty dang solid. Hard not to get pretty stoked for what this team could become with some experience & seasoning. And honestly Fitty is a boss for the Fletch to IR move. Win-win. Would have been utterly stupid to get rid of JJ this year with all the uncertainty surrounding kicker situation.

Certainly seeing this mentality on our D right now. They were swarming to the ball on Friday night. Love it! Robby chomping at the bit for week 1. Jaycee mad as heck when the 1s didn't get to play versus Colts.

I mostly agree, but in some cases I think the rapport with the coach can really lead to improved performance by a player. We saw it with a few Rivera guys who he snagged from his prior teams (Tolbert comes to mind). Also, listening to Robby talk about how much he's feeling comfortable and at home in Charlotte, I think his connection with Rhule is a part of it. So, the Temple / Baylor guys might sometimes have a real reason why they might be great fits on the team

Pretty sure a team did this a few years ago. Forget who. But in the age of Covid, I doubt you'd want to risk 2 specialist positions on 1 guy. The fact that Santoso can punt is a plus in these days when you can so easily lose players suddenly to the Covid list.
