LOL, Got to love the Huddle whiplash. In one thread it's damn, how can we ever expect to be a good team if we keep filling our roster with UDFAs. On another thread it's damn, Rivera & Gettleman are too conservative and won't give our team a chance by putting the UDFAs on the roster. [I'm mostly thinking of Wegher here... obviously Boykin is not a UDFA.]

TJ Heath was really one of the surprise stories out of camp. He started making plays from day 1. And Simonson, talk about a sleeper... it would be interesting to see how many mentions he's had on here in the past month. Not a lot until we all realized how much play time he got against NE. I'd cut Foucault from the PS, maybe give that spot to Ricky Henry or Miley? Linebackers: You said Mayo to the PS, but then don't have him listed there. It wouldn't surprise me if we kept Boykin and 6 WRs early in the season given how little playing time Funchess has had...

So, who's got roster projection updates following last night's game. Here's mine. Just for my own use, I added notes as to who is currently injured, just to help me think about depth. I've not included practice squad on this list. My most controversial calls: 6 WRs + Webb; 4 RBs (including Wegher) + Tolbert. Only 9 OL since I think Scott & Remmers can back up Center. I think Folkerts may have sealed his fate last night. My least confident calls: Not sure Glanton stays, but for now, I'm leaning on keeping him over Trusnik. Not sure we'll keep both Amini & Chandler, but not sure who would get their spots at the moment. If another DE balls out we could keep another young DE on the roster... not sure who would have to get cut to make that happen. This is NOT in depth chart order. Very true. But I do think most of that "cut Cotchery" stuff came before Kelvin's injury. Once KB was out, I think all realized we need Cotch, and are just now hoping he balls out and has a stellar season.

I believe so. I was listening to the game on radio and Eugene Robinson was going crazy about what Shaq did on that play. So he obviously was involved, and what you say sounds about right from what I remember hearing.
