  1. 2nd Round: Xavier Worthy or Egbula (if he slips). 3rd Round: Ricky Pearsall. His route running and hands are insane imo. Not a 4.3 guy but his technique will create its own seperation.
  2. Just like Dorsey is probably the scapegoat in the Bills situation, Brady was ours. His play designs were miles better than what we currently have. And honestly, imo if Brady had this same offensive roster I'd almost guarantee we score more then 13 points a game.
  3. Donte played his ass off .... Brown also. The amount of hustle he plays with every game is commendable. Hell not resigning Brown might hurt us more than losing Burns, if that was the case.
  4. Side Note: First THREE games of the year stats: Allen: 786 yards,5 TDs, 3 INT, 1 Fumble, 54% completion on 93 attemps.. sacks (2).. (Out of the full season he had 5 games without a passing TD and went 3 games throwing under 100 yds. (OC: Brian Daboll iirc) Young: 503 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs, 3 Fumbles, 65% completion rate...103 attemps..sacks (11) ...has thrown over 200 yards once. (OC: Frank Reich) Take from that what you will. And for fun... Clausen(Full Season): 1558 yards, 3 TDs, 9 INTs, 9 Fumbles, 52.5 completion..300 attemps...sacks (33).. Smh
  5. I get it...he has potential. BUT their is no reason we shouldn't have pick up a serviceable option to compete when BC went down. And if he's that bad, how awful are our backups??
  6. I'm still shocked at how much we regressed in under a year (and thats with the upgrades). Smdh.. P.S.. I like the throw to Chark but the one that Ian dropped in the endzone was nice too.
  7. Big Cam fan ... And tbh, insert him on this roster atleast we'd be watchable imo. Never was big on Bryce but he's the QB now. Rookie qbs typically struggle which is forgivable BUT at this point the current struggles far outweigh the current benefits. CJ was my pick ... I just felt he could do everything Bryce could do + add a running threat w/o the injury threat. The Ohio game and even the elite 11 competition made that evident for me. We should have let him sit and locked him in the weight room his entire rookie season. Not giving up on Byrce but it's not looking good out here. We haven't had a winning season in years but atleast we "did" have hope... Side note: I think Bryce was Moreso Tepper and Fitts. I think Frank and McCown wanted CJ. Short of Thielen, the entire offense has been disappointing.
  8. "Young’s average of 4.2 yards per attempt is the third-lowest for a player’s first two games NFL history with a minimum of 50 attempts, according to ESPN Stats & Info." I knew it was bad but damn sir
  9. Most disappointing 1st rounder I've seen in the last decade here would probably be Vernon Butler..off the top of my head. He played like a 5th-UDFA. Also Everett Brown was pure awful bro. So awful that I almost put Burns in the same category just for coming out of FSU. Horn will be back. He's not a bust, just has an extremely bad streak of injuries. 2 freak injuries and friendly fire. His play when avialable is undoubtable. And I'd like to assume that he's nowhere near thrilled with how his career has gone so far. He does have the pedigree to work his body and mind out of this. He doesn't belong on this list.
  10. Bro.... u serious ??? Your seriously underestimating how bad that season was. It did net us the #1 pick and Cam...but Clausen was undeniably awful here.
  11. This!! .... Haynes quietly put together a 5 sack season last season in a rotation. He's also the record holder for the most sacks in Ole Miss history iirc(Hardy's old school) ...if I were a betting man, that's where my money would be for breakout. Similar to Mario Addison. I actually think YGM is fighting for a roster spot at this point.
  12. Homerism aside, I still gotta say Cam's Auburn season was probably the last time I've seen a qb step in and absolutely dominate with an average to below average supporting cast. Burrow had a nice season but he had NFL ready talent everywhere on the team. We may never see that again in the current era. Iirc, finished college undefeated at Auburn w/ the Heisman trophy and a national championship. Then came to Carolina and later led us to a 15-1 season w/ an MVP designation and a Superbowl appearance. I put Young in the same category (Burrow). To be clear.. I originally wanted Stroud (after watching both players vs Georgia) but Young has grown on me the last few months. I'm expecting alot of tough weeks but the next 3-4 years look extremely optimistic if he can stay protected and he develops anywhere close to his full potential... The only question I have at this point is whether he can deliver the deep ball accurately at this level. Will he have enough time to? ...I'd say his floor is Teddy Bridgewater ...but his ceiling is Brees. But ay, wtf do I know... all opinion
  13. Lol, I'm just left with questions.. We almost made the playoffs last year bro. With a better staff, QB, and roster + this shitty division ...why shouldn't you expect the playoffs until we're mathematically eliminated. Wth u mean don't expect the playoffs?? Lol cmon bro. U think the guys in the locker room are aligned with your philosophy? And the ones that oppose simply just don't know football? What I know is, you wouldn't have posted this three weeks ago. Don't make what's basically a glorified audition for depth be the end all be all. But let me guess, when Benjamin went down for the season you knew in '15 that we'd go undefeated for most of the season in route to a superbowl appearance? You do know, "Any Given Sunday" is a slogan related to this game?!? It wasn't just a movie title my guy.
  14. Good point. I don't remember seeing him get a single snap this preseason. Guessing we're trying to stash him on the PS.
  15. Would not be opposed. But I do think Oline help should be a priority as it benefits 4-5 positions at once. We're so locked in on finding Corbett's stand-in at G that God forbid 2 lineman are lost concurrently. We really should have brought back Foreman as he's proven his reliability. Also our line seems to be better at run blocking than pass blocking so a rb with vision and power would be my ideal choice even w/ Sanders on the roster. I'd imagine it's not a fun thing to bring down a 200+ pounder running full speed in the 4th quarter. Esp late in the season as the temp drops. Put Lavisha back there.
  16. Shenault higher than TMJ ?? ... questionable
  17. With ST I can tell he has a passion for it but he actually flashed more than a couple of times last season at safety. So much so that I remember switching from "he's only here due to Rhule's nepotism" to "Damn he's starting to push for starter play". I actually forgot about him until I saw that clip. As-is he was starting to put it together. Another offseason like he had last season and he may contribute more than most expect. Although, he's behind on the depth chart I do hear our DC likes to utilize more than a couple safeties sometimes. At worst, him and Jammie Robinson should be pretty entertaining to watch on ST coverage together.
  18. With 5 spots basically already locked unless we go with 7 (which we just might if the coaching staff is mindful off the past), that final spot is basically between: Damiere Byrd, Shi Smith. I think CJ Saunders, Josh Vann and Marquez Stevenson are damn near already on PS. As far as Marshall, just give the man his snaps and he'll work. Tbh, I'm expecting Derek Brown-ish last season type ascension.
  19. With Donte and Jaycee being recurring question marks we could easily bring in Marcus Peters, Casey Hayward or even Byrce Callahan and still be somewhat competitive on the back end. Off the street any of those options serve as an immediate upgrade over Keith & CJ. Specifically CJ. It's a reason the staff isn't actively searching for replacements. But I do agree CB is far and away a more pressing need than edge. As long as Burns, Chinn, Shaq and Luvu are on the same field we can manufacture pressure in this scheme.
  20. I have zero faith in CJ. I did last offseason but watching his effort in that Bucs game change my whole perspective. As for Taylor, I'm still cautiously optimistic that he'll develop into a solid option under this staff. Eric Rowe should come in handy. Jaycee has missed alot of time but when he's out there he's damn near elite at what he does. And I dont think he's injury prone, I think he's had bad luck. 1st injury non-contact that occurred while back peddling iirc and last season took Chinn's helmet to the shoulder/wrist area. On the bright side it's still a couple of quality corners on the market if we need to make a move. I don't think we're going to just yet but ay we got options.
  21. I forgot Donte's injury was Achilles. And when he returns will his speed be retained??... Might be one of reasons we were supposedly interested in Julian Brent's. And while some of the dudes I stated have potential, they're far from proven commodities. Yea if I'm Fitts, I'm on the phone now. Whatever it takes to not repeat that Bucs game last season.
  22. If Jaycee or Donte went down, I'm thinking we move Eric Rowe outside and slide somebody like Chinn or Robinson to nickel. If we lost one we could still be competitive but if we lose both we're screwed. Idunno, but I've convinced myself Rejzohn Wright will surpass Henderson and Taylor Jr on the depth chart. We know how bad both of them can be but we don't know improved they might be after a scheme change and legit coaching. NFL Taylor Jr, in particular. He took a serious fall from what I saw from year 1. Henderson has always looked out of his league to me. We don't know what we really have currently...lol hell Rasul Douglas left and made a Pro Bowl... I will say with the skill players in our division CB should be high up on the priority list after the draft. Atleast we have the $$ to grab one if needed.
  23. Take away that last game and iirc Sam was damn near top 5-10 in the league QBR wise iirc... He made some throws that made me smdh but he also threw some last season that made my jaw drop. Just that improvement showed me he can further develop (to a certain point). I will say, I would have been happy to have him as a backup under Reich. He's the perfect QB to come in for a 4-5 game stretch if need be (from wat I saw last season). I think he goes to San Fran and lights it up...atleast for a few games. Too many weapons to fail. Shanahan definitely has something in mind for Darnold. I wouldn't bet against it just yet.
