  1. The team that drafted him, chose to go with a rookie QB Instead of keeping him and getting 3 #1 picks. And he not even done being cheap yet. He is a Jets draft bust. 3 years of average, to below average play. And a 2nd round pick. What team would be satisfied with those results. Until he shows otherwise, he is a subpar starting QB.
  2. WTF? Who said anything about any of that. I posted names and numbers. What’s the issue and what does it have to do with what I posted?
  3. I’m sure anyone could. Just not sure why it matters in this thread.
  4. You get taken that high and don’t get a 2nd contract with that team, that’s a bust. And Mariota cost much more in draft capital.
  5. OK. 22 QBs chosen in the top half of the first round from 2011-19. First year of rookie deals that changed everything. 7 are(were) worthy of that status. Cam, Luck, Watson, Mahomes, Allen, Mayfield, Murray. Tannehill and Goff could go either way. 13 were busts. Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, Manuel, RG111, Bortles, Winston, Mariota, Darnold, Haskins, Rosen, Trubisky, Jones. So of 20, there is a 35% a team gets a franchise QB. Of all those busts, who “turned” it around? Tannehill was on his 2nd contract, with a major injury, on the team that drafted him.
  6. Sometimes All-SEC OL don’t live up to the hype. There is one on the team right now who “some” said his ability shouldn’t be questioned because he was “great in the SEC”. Wonder who that was?
  7. No doubt. And as soon as Sewell gets used to the NFL, Decker is top 10-15 type value in any trade.

  9. Why did Rhule say he wanted to win a SB with Cam. Why does Rhule talk up players them cut them? Why would Tepper lay blame at a guy who has 6 more years left of guaranteed money. Why did the Panthers try to interview Andrew Berry but couldn’t because they couldn’t offer roster control. Then, no more interviews, because no legit candidate wanted to. He just said not a couple weeks ago that Rhule is in charge. Even now. Which means he sure was then. So what’s it going to be. Rhule had total control, or Tepper hired a HC for 60-70M to listen to thee reason he had the job to begin with. Either path of incompetence is troubling. But hey, pick and choose whatever makes you feel better.
  10. Not because of. Like I said, it was obvious who had control. And at a time when TB was playing well, why not mention the GM who supposedly “was the main force behind signing Teddy”(according to a rumor no one will put in print). Just tell me all the moves that Rhule made? And Hurney? Should be easy. Because I’ve watched my team, the Steelers, win 6 rings. It only becomes an issue for posters when I disagree with them. Which I can only assume is your next complaint. What’s sad is I know more about your favorite team than you.
  11. Speak for yourself. I called it when they kept Hurney around to begin with? What moves did Marty make? Which ones were just a surprise to Rhule? Why wasn’t he mentioned in that article I posted? It’s a financial decision. Would you risk 20M to win… nothing? Because that’s what’s happening. But now if he fails, it’s Teddy time again. Why risk it? Don’t worry. There is no logical answer.
  12. So Tepper gave a college coach 9M/yr guaranteed, but told him he had to listen to the one person mainly Responsible(twice)for the mess you were brought into fix. Because that’s an even higher level of incompetence than I’m suggesting. So Hurney just slapped a roster full of players and threw them at Rhule with a “play with these guys” and no questions asked. Where is Hurney mentioned in the article below? Written after the ARI game when everyone was taking credit for TB. Not when they needed a scapegoat. If he isn’t any better this year, the Panthers will have another 19M backup QB. Just like this year. When they could have been done after this year if he fails. Even if he goes “Tannehil”, it doesn’t save anything because you would pay him anyhow. Now he has to succeed or it’s 19M out the window. Where is the upside to making this move? Because the downside is obvious. And none of the Disney answers like before. https://www.espn.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/34244/teddy-bridgewater-becoming-to-panthers-what-drew-brees-is-to-saints
  13. Spending 80-100M to turn a 4-12 team into a 5-11 team would be the first question. Think that amount could help the OL issues? Picking up Darnold’s 5th year option for no logical reason would be next.
  14. I’m sure it had nothing to do with him not giving a poo. What was his issue last year when he had no concussions. Just more embarrassing clips for the collection. It showed in college, but no one wanted to hear any of it. Just “PFF and All-SEC”.
  15. Then he gave 34M guaranteed(and a 3rd round comp pick) for a “bridge” QB? For what QB was he “bridging” the team to. That’s even worse than just mis-judging Teddy’s talent. And the Saints didn’t trade Teddy. He was a FA. Don’t let facts get in the way of a good rant.
  16. I’m not the confused one. Thinking Rhule had nothing to do with signing Teddy(or any players) is comical. Which moves were Rhule’s? Just the good ones. What was the new Cap guy doing? Who coached him for a year? Who was recommending him to Rhule 6 years before he was hired here? A New HC with a 7/70M contract isn’t letting a lame-duck GM who ruined the team TWICE, pick and decide what to pay his QB. And what is the “money we will never get back” supposed to mean? Cap space isn’t a use it or lose it. You could have the same exact team and around 100M in cap space, right now. Value means play/pay.
  17. Yes. Because he gave Bridgewater 31M for one year of play that was similar to Kyle Allen at the 1M he could have kept him at. Add in many other questionable decisions and 80M in cap space was used for no reason at all. Think that might help with the OL?
  18. The first post is from here, months before SB signed up. With word for word identical thoughts about the team being run like a TV show. The second is from Pats board where he wants Cam to “subjugate” himself to Belichik. Much like all players should do what the owners tell them. With the username RASTAN99 much like his RASTAN66 on here. When I challenged his comments I got this. Not sure what else you need as proof? On the Game Day Roster Aug 4, 2020 You do realize they have banned me repeatedly? That's why I can't post anymore. Do you remember the guy who presented the detailed expected value calculations that supported bringing back Cam? Yeah that was me. Remember the guy who kept harping on "optionality" and maintained that Tepper would for sure bring Cam back because from an "optionality" perspective it was the only logical move to make? Yeah that was me to. Do you remember Kyle Bailey talking on WFNZ about the concept of "optionality" for months and using it to support his position that the Panthers could & should bring Cam back? Yeah he got that from me. By the time I squeezed back onto the Huddle with the name similar to this one the deal for Teddy had already been made to the narrative changed. Huddle disappeared all the expected-value and optionality content, not sure why the RASTAN66 stuff was allowed to stay up.
  19. Despite all evidence to the contrary. And in his usual move, treat this proof like it doesn’t exist. Who else is it that admitted to being banned multiple times, and says exactly what he has preached for a year? That people fell, and are still falling for this is just sad.
  20. Remember when I asked if he had been banned for racist remarks before? This is what I meant, and why I asked. One of many. RASTAN99 On the Game Day Roster Aug 4, 2020 Add bookmark #73 He's healthy as a horse. All players are at risk of getting hurt in the course of an NFL season. In my opinion if Cam wins the starting job but isn't able to play a complete season due to a physical problem, it won't because of any legacy foot/shoulder issues, but rather a new injury. I have a hunch that after all the injury misfortune, this pitfall is behind him. (assumes he makes good decisions on sliding, cuts out showboating to eliminate targeting by opposing D, etc) If BB is able to subjugate Cam and both go all in the ride will be a lot longer than 2 years....it could be a great 5-7 year run. (I was going to say "epic run" but caught myself..."epic" has a whole different connotation with this franchise vs. any other!) The best possible long-term option might just be on the roster today....gonna be fun to watch!
  21. Chuck has been yanking y’all around with this BS through multiple ALTs. The post below was one of the first and 4 months before Sizzle signed up. He was all over the Pats forum saying Cam needed to “subjugate” himself to Belichik. So that fits the pattern shown here. Plenty more proof if he wants to deny it. RASTAN66 Posted April 7, 2020 And true. It amazes me how many folks think Hurney is running the show -- couldn't be further from the truth. Hurndog doesn't have the authority to pull the trigger on ANYTHING without the approval of Tepper and/or Rhule. For those of you who may watch Billions...Tepper is Axe...Rhule is Dollar Bill (a portfolio manager with limited trading authority)...Hurndog is a supporting analyst with no trading authority (unless it is co-brokered with Rhule and doesn't exceed Rhule's size limits).
  22. Only explanation is the ignorant FO is just doing a “dumb” check or putting him out there if a team loses its QB and gets desperate. They can’t play him now. Or ever. He’s an asset only now. Or maybe liability is closer. Can’t add injured to issues.
  23. Which makes you what then? I forgot more yesterday about football than you will ever know. Which is proven every day with your sentence fragment whines. Wanna compare. Anytime you’re ready. But we know that you, or the other “cheerleaders” will never do that because it would show the truth. Anytime you want to test football acumen…I’m game. It won’t take long to show the “stupid” one among us. Or continue to deflect away from any and all discussions of the team and football.
  24. How the hell do you make a vague, nonsensical comment about any post that dares say the team isn’t perfect? Every day?
  25. That’s some Flat Earth poo right there. Wait? Which one of them posted this? Really doesn’t matter. Either is unbelievable
