Person looks at Mayfield, Rhule and "revisionist history"
Toomers replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Then you roll it over. It’s gone for a backup QB,at best. There’s no “it’s not that bad” about handing out 19M that you get almost nothing for. And they picked up the option before Rhule’s 2nd season. His job wasn’t at risk then at all. -
Makes you wonder if the Eagles or Cowboys won’t try to keep him away from SF. He’s looked horrible but it wouldn’t be too surprising for Shanahan to breathe life into a struggling QB.
-
It was all Rhule. From day one. That’s the only reason Hurney was there was for appearances. Rhule had total control. And now I read he claims he didn’t? What a d-bag. They could have hired Andrew Berry but he wouldn’t interview because he knew Rhule had all the power.which is why no one else interviewed either. Wonder why? I read some of his comments from last week and they are fictional at best.

Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision

They are same thing. I actually think they will be worse. It will take a lot of things going right to be anything more than that. -

We have given you many reasons why they could be average or lower. Your rational logic pins it’s hopes on McVay magic. If he’s even there. -
Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision

Well. A team currently 3-5 with their QB in the concussion protocol with an already anemic offense. Aging players, little to no cap and no 1st next year. I can make the case they will be that low much easier than them becoming a playoff team again. -
So when the offer is down to a 1st(like Moore) this Spring, how is that good? You kept him for half a meaningless season at the cost of a 1st and 2nd rounder. And the cheap is referring to his current salary remaining of 1M for THIS year. That was what the Rams wanted.
-
Brady is 45 and is finally showing it. Has all year. And I mentioned Rodgers close behind, but he isn’t nearly as old or washed. He needs help. Why would I care about a volume stat on a QB who is avg. 6.4YPA just because he throws more. Judging any QB by volume stats without context is ridiculous.
-
He asked for one’s I’d take over Lamar. I gave him the only two I would. Wasn’t doing a top 10. And Rodgers looks old but can still throw with anybody. And if he’s getting a “loaded” team, that’s a different situation than his current one.

Maybe someday if he could get into a playoff game. I had Burrow and possibly Rodgers before him.

Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision

Sure. Until he holds out this Spring. Especially when they just told his agent how valuable you think he is. You think he’s going to happily play on tags when he is going to want 25M/yr(or more now) and somewhere around 60M guaranteed. Ask your dice this…. What package looks better. Credit to stbugs Edge like Reddick for 15Myr FA C or MLB or TE for 10-12M/yr. Two 1sts almost sure to be top 16. 2nd round pick. Or BUrns for 25-27M/yr -
Mahomes Allen thats it…
-
He was valued by one desperate team that wanted his cheap(2M) contract for this year. His salary goes up to 16M next year. That’s not a big value at all. Why would a team deal 3 picks going forward for the right to pay a player more than he’s worth.

Is Burns really worth backing up a Brinks truck?
Toomers replied to mc52beast's topic in Carolina Panthers
It sure does. Every OC considers running the ball a lot more against CAR. Brown gets double teamed twice what Burns does. So it’s a good idea to give a specialist 25M/year? Much less turn down a 2nd and two 1sts for him. -
How? That doesn’t happen to guys that can make every throw. Just QBs who run. Right? Sure doesn’t seem like the Ravens were better off with Flacco. Dig up some actual relevant information. Who know? You might get lucky.
-
.Convenient again how you didn’t mention Flacco was 26-33 from 2015–19. And LJ has went 43-15 since. I guess the “pocket passing” model hit a wall at age 30.
-
2018 Games started Flacco 4-5 LJ- 6-1 Keep digging.
-
Because he was an overpaid asset at the least valuable position on the field. And he had missed 2/3rds of two different seasons. Since Lamar is 25, a five year deal would be about done at age 31. Why would that matter? Cams major damage came from the pocket and chasing down an interception. I’ve watched him very closely since day one. I don’t need stats beyond what he means to a team overall. He’s had one season he missed 5 games and Ravens we’re done after that. Hard to improve on league MVP stats in your first year starting. But where are the Ravens now. First place in their division as usual.
-
So you think Kirk Cousins is an ideal and better qB than LJ. Because of a volume stat. Then disregard a major part of his game. Since he was drafted, the Ravens are 43-15 in games he starts. 6-10 in those he didn’t. Your passing theory doesn’t makkke sense.
-
I asked why some things were included and why some weren’t. A legitimate question about what you posted. Now you’re mad. Was there not things omitted from where you started? He is part of RAs extension. You don’t get credit for getting worthless picks for a player you gave an extra 16M for 6 games.
-
We are. What date does that start? When Rhule was fired? This year? Last year? Trading Robbie: 16M for 6 games and a6th and 7th Trading CMC- good trade Turming down that Burns package of picks. Horrible beyond belief if that offer is valid. What other specific moves?
-
I’m just going to assume this is a joke.
-
Inside sources make a lot of claims you cling to. Change it to TMJ over Humphrey. I love how it’s convenient to pretend Rhule was really deciding final contract numbers. What did Fitt actually do? Samir? Anyone? 20M for a backup QB isn’t terribly expensive? Of course not.
-
Yes I read it. And wondered how he got credit/blame for 2021 draft and not the 2021 trades and FA and deciding options. We can go with TMJ over Humphrey if it fits better.
