  1. So what do you get for the 2M(and a 7th rounder) you spent on him? A 6th round pick. There’s nothing “free” about it. You believe teams would give up 2M to move from the 7th to the 6th round?
  2. Ahhh… the scapegoat thread where every bad move was Hurneys fault and Rhule still walked on water. Are those “sources” still above reproach?
  3. How is paying 2M a “free” draft pick? Gotta hear this.
  4. That 30M is including increase and carryover. Keep kicking the can down the road in rebuilding years and you’re never gonna see even mediocre. DJ Moore has a guaranteed 11M 5th year option. Paradis’ voided money is basically dead money. It’s in the total already, but you still have to find a C still and you’re not getting anything from Paradis for the 8.2M cap hit. And all the team needs is starters at QB, LT, LG, C, FS, LB, DT and 1 pick to help. How much are these starters going to cost if you can fill all those positions with “around” 40M. Plus pay draft class and any kind of depth.
  5. Probably because saying a GM has a”system” or “scheme” is moronic. Anyone I’m speaking of hired the vision of the coach. Of course they choose towards that direction. Doesn’t mean they choose the exact player the HC wants in what round. Are all these HCs signing free agents? Why would any team have a GM or scouting department if the HC is just doing everything anyhow. You made up scenarios and flat out lied. With the same amount of factual research you never have. Was a see Arians statements about Licht? Here a hint. It’s completely opposite of what you made up. We never got to any more. That was two. How about Ballard, Lynch, Loomis, Robinson, Spielman, Telesco? That should keep you busy considering you don’t know who most of them are.
  6. When does Volume 2.0 come out with all the rest of the mistakes?
  7. Vague? You’re the one claiming all coaches have total control of every roster( except the NYG…lol) And your reason is they decide who plays so that is actually the control. Sure. Why not? Is the OC/DC really in charge because they decide what play and who gets the ball every play? You made up crap about the Steelers. Your TB drivel was pure fiction. And since you are getting embarrassed, you just slipped straight to lashing out as you always do when posters make you look ignorant
  8. No. You said only Gettleman has control as a GM. Not close to true. Many have final say on personnel. Now it usually has. A little more and you might get close to the truth.
  9. If we take out all logic and reason and facts, you make an excellent point? Just as Rhule had total control from day one and was pointed out numerous times as fans tried to blame anyone not here anymore to make him look better going forward.
  10. What video? Those scripted things they put out in the spring? LOL! Where the video of the Teddy signing. Or the Darnold trade? Or the 5th year option? And TB GM drafted a lot more than just Jameies. Evans, Godwin, Marpet etc…. Plus he was one of the main reasons Arians took the job. Once again, facts aren’t you friend.
  11. For what team? Why? Become you want it to be true. You provide nothing as usual but random thoughts from yourself. You think the Panthers are trying to trade for Watson without Teppers OK? Considering they took a QB in the 3rd the year before, and Ben had about a 43M dead cap hit, he was never going anywhere. But don’t let facts get in the way
  12. Because in one scenario, a HC is telling a GM what TYPE of players they want. And the GM chooses the players to fit that. In a HC with total control like Rhule, he actually choose which players at which picks. Big difference. Not a hard concept for anyone not clouded With an agenda.
  13. WTF are you talking about? Tomlin or Colbert don’t make that decision. As I already stated. Why would two people who have never had a losing season together need “saving”? This is sad. Maybe I can tell you what it feels like for your team to win a SB. 6 times. I think I’ll be fine.
  14. Where is this info coming from? Show your work. Let’s see this proof. And just because something is said by a coach or GM in public, doesn’t make it true. I would have thought Rhule disaster of a NFL career would have taught everyone at least that much.
  15. Of course he does. That’s not the issue. Although it’s easy to see why you want to get away from it. They can talk all day, every day. Colbert has final day on roster decisions. And so do over half the GMs in the NFL. Now it’s “he picks who plays”. That’s adorable deflection. So in your world, coaches hand GMs a list and tell them exactly who to pick. And if they refuse, they are gone? Priceless!!!
  16. I got them but one would think that one of the “homers” that railed on you for being negative(and a mod) would step up and save the time.
  17. If Colbert picks the players, how does Tomlin have final roster say in any way. And when did Tomlin receive this control? The owner made the call on Ben. Just as Tepper, or any owner would have to on a situation involving a franchise QB. Anymore crap that is not true you want to throw at the wall?
  18. All had been there AND successful for many years. Not a 2.0 of a previous awful stint including hiring the coach that just got fired. And who was first scapegoat out the door when things started to go bad. As was predicted by many of us. Let’s start with the Steelers. Who runs their personnel decisions. Tomlin or Colbert. Not like I’m a fan who would know or anything. Sorry the horse you picked has sucked but it was easy to see coming when you have some knowledge and don’t just try to further whatever that days agenda is. After the Steelers we can go to the next team. And the next. Maybe some of the many threads where i(and other like LG) basically called the whole season. There are lots of them. Where are yours?
  19. I’m sure they do in your reality. But the GM was there before them in all cases. There are many more. Why not be specific as to which you disagree with. “Because you said so” isn’t a valid point for any subject
  20. I would pay him just to go to Vegas with me so i could bet against every word he said?
  21. Steelers, Ravens, Colts, Bucs, Titans. That’s off the top of my head. How many more you want?
  22. A real GM would have probably have solved many of the other issues. Rhule the executive never gave Rhule the HC a chance with his lack of understanding the salary cap and value.
  23. Sure Hurney did. Yet amazingly, after he left, this staff gave another unproven QB a large guarantee so he would feel good.
  24. Your using a number that isn’t relevant if you keep him. Because if they kept him, his cap hit was 23M for 2021. And another 5M in dead cap in 2022. That was part of the 17M.
  25. Where. In 2021, Keep Teddy add 6M. Remove Sam/Cam 10.7M Savings. 4.7M in 2022 Teddy is cut with a 5M cap hit. Remove 19M savings 14M. Thats 18.7M. You’re claiming around 30M.
