Matt Rhule on why Darnolds option was picked up
Toomers replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the guy who wasn’t supposed to be questioned because he was a professional? This “collective”?. Especially when they just made the same with another QB? He’s adorable. -
I’d burn the buildings down. That’s not saying that Fitt can’t do a good job in the future. There is just no way to know what, if anything, he did. So do you put this total rebuild and next HC hire on a guy with one questionable year as a GM. He knew what he walked into. I know if I’m Tepper, I’d call Rhule, Fit, and Samir in my office and have them tell me why they gave Darnold 19M guaranteed for no good reason at all. Somebody’s going home or everyone is.
-
Hope you good now. Still get major props for your post mid season. Until Rhule is gone, I see no viable plan. It’s only going to get worse. Players aren’t stupid.
-
I prefer to use those opinions as a window. I mean, we’re you really surprised by any of the responses.
-
Not according to the exceptional judges of character and credibility ITT. So be it…lol

It’s more like they started to become more “known”. But he did know he had much more leverage after that. Even Clark stayed fairly quiet about him for years until he disappeared during half of a week 17(Monday-Wednesday) with the playoffs on the line. If Clark bad mouths you on TV, look inward. His 2nd big contract was like unleaded gas on a grill.

It was always my biggest problem with Tomlin. He enabled this behavior for years. But now I’m not sure how Tomlin got their that many seasons from him?
-
His mental health issue is that he’s somewhere between a sociopath and a psychopath. But this was all Arians fault because of ….. reasons?
-
The real question is which job would you take as a HC being offered a choice of these two teams?

Panthers Bringing back Rhule. Planning to start OC search next week

How little does a person have to actually know about football to be involved with that site? -
Who, other than the one person that had total control of everything, are you laying the”blame “ on. This is no different than the echo chamber crap that led to a majority of this fan base believing Rhule was ever competent. Like blowing 80M in that year that you claim he was getting the team out of cap hell. Or that Darnold was a good trade. How about giving KK 13M for nothing. Okung . Boston. Weatherly. And 31M for TB?
-
How is Carson Strong a one year wonder? He had basically the same season his last TWO years? And has been a first round consideration since before this season?
-
After thinking about it, if I were Tepper I would probably keep Rhule
Toomers replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes. Because Rhule should be compared to coaches from the 1970s with no free agency or salary cap. Only way to acquire talent was draft or cuts. Don’t sully legendary names with the incompetent display Rhule has shown for two years. -
The issue is you’re guaranteeing 15M, off next year’s cap, in hopes of getting what? Every team would know you hamstrung yourself because you don’t want to pay him. Neither would they. Especially with this roster and investment in CBs. It’s definitely really only responsible to do with All-Pros like Peppers.
-
He won’t get 11M/yr. No team is going to give a pick to pay him 15M(tag).

Remember this classic about PKs being viewed thru the same lens? ———————— On 1/7/2021 at 11:01 AM, SizzleBuzz said: I'm perplexed at how the relative importance and urgency for immediate change is so different between the key scoring positions in the NFL on the Panthers. 49 of the top-50 scorers in NFL history are kickers...and annually kickers make up pretty much 100% of the top-20 scorers, and ~85% of the top-30 scorers... ...Slye sucks yet "he's good enough for now" seems to rule the day with with him --- but Teddy has to go RIGHT NOW!! If scoring points is a concern (they do determine who wins and loses after all) seems as though both should be viewed through the same lens -

So Arians biggest crime is being a loudmouth for a “trash” organization that gave the team MRSA, was reason enough to flat out believe a player who does this consistently. But AB is the more credible one YOU chose to believe and called anyone who gave any credibility to Arians in this situation a “fool”. Pretty simple to see what your thought process was. If people want to continue living in a fantasy land of their own creation, it’s hard to laugh and respond to theories with holes everywhere. Don’t blame you for stopping. You were already digging in a deep hole.
-
I did. You bring up Arians being not credible because he’s a loudmouth who got the team MRSA. Yet have no problem dismissing ABs entire life to call his version somehow “more credible”. Which version is your actual opinion. Your first or last? Because they’re nowhere near the same.
-
Yet you stated in your 1st post “The Bucs are an absolute trash organization from top to bottom. Brown has his problems as he said but I believe his statement on this issue.” How is this not defending Brown when you believe a habitual liar’s statements as fact as opposed to everything he has ever done.
-
Said by someone who is defending AB…LOL
-
Much as I don’t care about people that only see what they want, except to watch them stumble around their BS statements. They knew his past, and it was an easy look into his future. When not diluted by tales of “they out to get me”.
