It’s not about what you have. It’s about what you need. The Saints have spent a decade trying to win in their HOF QBs window. The Packers are doing it every in year too. With both having quality players at almost every position. The Panthers have been awful 3 years. The Panthers have huge holes at almost every position, no depth and most importantly, no QB. They wasted about 80M in 2021 and just those two you mentioned was 40-50M last year. What would 130M added to this roster? Instead of Teddy, KK, Okung, Boston,Weatherly, Sam, RA extension. Not even counting giving a guy the biggest RB deal…ever.

That the Panthers have about 28M to fill numerous spots. And only one pick that should realistically help next year. For now. And that draft class will cost 6-7M. So now they have 20M to find a QB, 3 OL, FS, DT, LB, plus another TE. How is half that on one player going to fix all this. I’ve been telling folks for two years he has been killing y’all with almost every move. I don’t even have a clue how to fix it besides burning it down. But spending and restructuring is the last thing and why it’s like this.
-
And there in lies the problem. Doing the same thing they have done for years, and expecting it to work. Which deals are getting restructured? CMC again(that’s going well). Shaq had a good half a year and he already has his loaded with dead cap. Moton who already has 39M in dead cap. This is why the roster sucks and there no resource to fix it quickly short of some lotto sized luck. Also need FS, DT, MLB, and any sort of depth.

Where do you think all that restructure money went. They did it in 2018 as well. Resulting in base salaries of 13M for 2020 and 2021. And 17M on dead cap to account for. Plenty of threads from when it happened. I never said one time Samir restructured. But they gave him 13M for 2020 and still had to eat 17M over 2020-2021. You’re answering questions I never asked. Mainly because you know you can’t dispute the real ones. We had so many discussion on this I don’t even have to look it up. But we can go to the tape any time you want.

Was Samir not here in the Summer of 2020 when they gave KK anther year? Or did he happen to miss work that day. @stbugs will gladly tell you the same thing. And like you calling Samir a “savage”, there is just no evidence it’s true. The umber are on the freakin page. Plain as day. What did I specifically get wrong. I’ve had no problem showing you and the other one foolish.

And part of that restructure was 13M in base salary. He already had 17M in dead cap. So instead of only paying(cap wise) 17M to cut him. They gave him 13M which made it 30M for that last couple games. I’m sure he had nothing to do with anything wrong. Or maybe anything at all. Or is it just the good moves. This front office says a lot of things that aren’t true. Someone different is in charge of every move. Here’s Robbie’s deal. 16.8M for 2022. You have to pay him this year if you want to cut him 3.8M. That’s 20.6M. Or you can cut him now for a 15M. 15M you didn’t owe before the extension. And he ever played a snap past his first deal. Great move. Samir was hired 2 weeks after Rhule . He’s responsible for every move Matt’s made. He handed KK 13M to play a couple games when they could have gotten rid of him. Boston signed around the same time as CMC. Which Samir was on on both. Boston got cut and they still owe dead cap. Like I said, 1/9.5M for a player who barely made that much for the rest of his career..combined. You owe 20M to a WR who was awful. One who could be gone for free. So he has to improve on that suckage. Or it’s just wasted money. Just like dead cap. This doesn’t include Okung(13M for 6 games), Weatherly 1/8M. Erving, Elflein, Roberts, Apple. which ones didn’t waste money?

Robbie Anderson has 20M still guaranteed. And he sucked. So that’s 20M for 3-4M dead cap. Darnold(19M). No reason. 31M guaranteed for the first QB. 13M for KK for no reason. CMC signs richest RB contracts ever. Plays 10 games(in 2 years) Tre Boston 9.5M for one year. Think they could have gotten a decent OL with all that wasted space?
