And worst case you get a solid backup at 1M/yr who has started 20 games already.

So go ahead and explain how Mariota, at 3.5M, and no draft picks was a worse option than Darnold at 24M and 2nd, 4th, and 6th round picks. Mariota had played at a higher level than Darnold ever did. So why Darnold? How is Darnold not dumb but Mariota is?
-
Mariota as well.

Almost Whitehead bad. And I had high hopes before last year as well. Just slow to react and speed is gone. Extremely blockable.
-
You really don’t want to do that.

That’s the remainder of his signing bonus. 16.2M at 5.4M per year. It doesn’t affect the 35M guaranteed base salary that he will be paid by any team that acquires him. Or the 37M he is guaranteed next year.

False

When you’re still one of the best… play til ya drop. I gave him until June, but I guess he had to tell TB not to tear it down.

Here we go again. What exactly did Hurney do? What desires did he not carry out. The answer is none. Rhule didn’t want a real GM, because he made the all the decisions. And the cap guru who you said wasn’t there in 2020 actually was. So if anyone takes blame for the wasted money it’s him. What magical things did Fitterer do to make things better? Darnold trade/option, Signing two of the worst OL in the NFL(if they happen to be healthy) day one of FA, instead of taking the 14.5M guaranteed and got one good OL. Flexible on this OL just means the player can suck at multiple positions. That’s if Fitterer did anything at all. You don’t overpay one WR just because you think another might play well enough to have to pay. Especially after drafting a WR in the 2nd round. That’s ignorant. Maybe try saving it for the one that is actually good. Now they can’t give RA away. And a TE like Thomas can be signed anytime this summer. With no worry about comp pick formula. Not that his 5.5/yr would be around a 7th anyhow. The fact that you can’t see how bad that was is just par for the course. They burned a 3rd round pick on a TE last year but still felt the need to give Thomas double(or more) what he’s worth. All 5 win teams make mostly good decisions. What level of incompetence is required to say things might not be working out with the current coaching staff and front office.

Rhule had total control in year one and last year. The cap guru was hired 2 weeks after Rhule was hired. Hurney’s last decision was Shaq’s contract before Rhule was hired. The cap guru was here for Teddy, CMC, Boston, Okung,KK, Weatherly, Roberts, and all of the first year mistakes. Plus Robby’s awful extension, Erving, Henderson hasn’t done a thing yet, Elflein, on top of the Darnold option. Teams don’t get in the position this team is in because they make a lot of good decisions. Results just say the opposite of the sunny scenario you always present. And giving a backup TE 5.5M/yr doesn’t seem to say they learned anything.
-
They will be doing this desperate restructuring scenario for the next 3-4 years. They are already down to 7M in cap space for 2023. Payton left for a reason. And they can’t even just trade Thomas or anyone else good because the dead cap would hit and destroy them. There is no way to create enough to even get him on the roster. That’s why there are losing a very good LT and FS. The bill has come due and it’s going to take awhile to pay.

I didn’t switch anything. They have played twice since Cam was drafted. Not exactly hard to follow and pull for both. And why does it matter towards you stating Watson wasn’t getting suspended was a FACT. Then posting an article and omitting the exact opposite statements. As I said, deflection per usual.
-
Define deflection. 1. Attack the poster when they clearly point out you BS and blatantly leaving out the relevant FACTS in an article that was supposed to prove you were correct. 2. Certainly not denying the accusation of multiple alts because it’s obvious this isn’t your first go around on here. 3. I’ve been here 7 years. Was a Panther fan the day Cam was drafted. One name, and will own every statement I’ve ever made. Right or wrong. Me being a Steelers fan only comes up when people get upset when I point out the incompetence of the team and the way it’s run. And people like you whose words cause them to look foolish on a consistent basis. I’ve been told many times that I would be gone when the Panthers got good again. Still waiting. 4. I was on my 2nd cup when I laughed at your BS.

Talking Offensive Line - Is this an improvement?
Toomers replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you put Brown next to Elflein, the pass rush up the middle will resemble what was there last year. May be a decent straight ahead run blocker, but NFL DTs will abuse his lack of agility and that will fade as well. His hype was in hoping he committed to changing his body and getting in shape for once. That hasn’t happened. -
The Panthers have a lot of leaks coming from our staff

Yep. Some people staked their credibility on that report. -
You stated there was nothing about him being suspended. Which it plainly stated in the article you posted was something all teams knew was still possible. But you conveniently stopped cut and pasting at that point. Yes or No? And you should strive to be something more than a person who has to keep changing alts on a message board because you constantly look foolish while claiming to be the only “informed” one. That’s something to brag about. Not everyone is a complete loser like the guy you see in the mirror.
