  1. Perriman, Shaq, D Smith, Strong, P Smith, Odighizuwa, Dorsett, Clemmings, Kendricks, Gregory All those are 2nd rounders to me except maybe Kendricks(drafting a MLB would not please me), Odighizuwa(don't really want a DE and he has 2 bad hips) and Gregory(no thanks to a lightweight pothead DE).
  2. I still don't get that. Urban uses at least 3 WR's at pretty much all times and I know they didn't have 3 better WR's than Smith. Michael Johnson is a stud and a probable top 15 pick next year, but other than that who was he losing snaps to?
  3. Agreed. He's 6'2" and Gettleman likes big CB's. He'd definitely be worth a comp 5th or 6th rounder.
  4. I think it's fair to say that Gettleman goes for prototypical size at every position. I don't know that he has signed, drafted or re-signed anyone that doesn't have ideal NFL size. Ted Ginn maybe, but really he is more or less the body type that works best as a KR/PR. Even the guy he drafted to play the slot CB, Bene, is 6'0" so that is definitely something to watch for when prognosticating his picks. I'd really hesitate to predict any pick for a guy who could be undersized with the exception of something like a slot receiver or 3rd down back. Sub 5'9" CBs, sub 6'3" DEs, sub 245 lb DE's, sub 300 lb DT's are all probably not going to be picked in the first 4-5 rounds by Gettleman.
  5. Kelvin ran a pretty full route tree in FSU's pro style offense. His routes were just a little sloppy.
  6. Size would be a major question mark. He's only 6'3" 245 lbs and Gettleman likes the big prototype DE's.
  7. That is pretty much exactly how reaching for need works. All the 1st round receivers are gone so you take a 2nd round receiver because he and other good receivers will be gone by the time you pick later.
  8. That is definitely a unique talent. I guess that will play well in San Francisco.
  9. He got kicked out of school for a reason and it wasn't for the two weed arrests. He wasn't charged due to lack of cooperation from the victim.
  10. Production has nothing to do with potential.
  11. DGB has the most potential in the class of not only receivers but maybe all other positions as well. I don't think he ever gets close to reaching that potential, but he nails the prototype for a #1 WR in the NFL. He's a top 5 pick without the off the field stuff. That said I still wouldn't take him.
  12. David Johnson is the RB I want in the 3rd or 4th. He's the best receiver out of the backfield and is a lot more nifty with the ball in his hands than his size would indicate so he is also an effective KR/PR if need be.
  13. Greg Hardy is going to miss at least 20 games for something he wasn't even found guilty for and you want to spend an early draft pick on a guy with a history of domestic violence? Sounds like a great plan!
  14. He definitely fills the huge need for a deep threat, but I'd need to see a lot more from him in turns of running the full route tree. I'm sure that is something that was addressed at his pro day and in private workouts but since I don't have access to that he's a 2nd rounder for me. If he showed he's more than a one trick pony in those then I'd consider it.
  15. His admission on Draft Academy that he thought about quitting football last year after a 3 game stretch where he only had a couple catches concerns me.
  16. When you need a camp arm and have the opportunity to sign the most inaccurate and controversial QB available you pretty much have to do it, right?
  17. Cedric Ogbuehi had recurring back issues at Texas A&M. The way it was described made it sound like a muscle issue and not a structural issue, but a big guy with a back issue would scare the hell out of me if I was a GM.
  18. He's really injury prone. I'd probably rather just stick with 2 of Fozzy/Todman/Rookie behind Stewart.
  19. Eagles rescinded the RFA tender on RB Chris Polk. He's talented. Probably the result of an overcrowded backfield. Went undrafted in 2012 over concerns of a degenerative shoulder when he had a 2nd-4th round projection.
  20. Mariota trade rumor of the day reportedly spreading around NFL personnel meetings: Philly trades Sam Bradford to Cleveland for pick #19 Philly trades picks #19, #20, Fletcher Cox and Mychal Kendricks to Tennessee for pick #2 Philly riots
  21. Probably but I think Goodell is in the middle of a pre-draft press conference right now so a reporter probably just saw the report and asked him. Also, I saw a couple Cowboys fans say this is not the first time Coleman has been involved in an incident like this. They said he has a sense of humor that really doesn't sit well with a lot of people. My guess is he called Hardy and wife beater or something and that set him off. Probably a big story out of nothing but its Hardy and the Cowboys so it makes the headlines.
  22. That's an interesting thought and one that makes some sense. I think Chicago could make a lot of sense too. Jordan is probably better suited in a 3-4, they need a pass rusher and may feel getting the NT they need is a better value around #14.
  23. Because it's Hardy who has been headline news the last couple days. Definitely good for a few clicks so the smart business move is to make a full story about it. I'd be very surprised if it was anything more than a one-liner about the incident and just background on him and his situation to fill it out.
