So much harder to improve the OL during the season than other position units except maybe QB. Absolutely no one is looking to trade starting quality OL. At best you’re looking at a high tier backup being available and that’s basically what we have now. We are also out of 2022 picks we could reasonably trade for someone that is a good player unless we move our 1st which I’m pretty sure no one wants to do. CJ is also a very unique situation where the player was disgruntled and things weren’t working out which made him available for cheap. Normally a guy like CJ would take a 1st plus something else just to not get hung up on. There is a somewhat similar situation available out there on the OL. Isaiah Wilson was the 29th pick last year and unemployed. However, his issues are are several orders of magnitude beyond CJ’s.

Yeah you don’t get a guy this talented, this early into their career at a premium position for just a 3rd and a JAG TE without some MAJOR red flags. The more I’ve read into it the more nervous I’ve gotten but Tepper, Fitterer and Rhule must really feel like the personal connection Cooper has and the mental health program they started are the key to unlocking him and keeping him engaged. I’m going to trust them as they haven’t given me any reason not to yet and if it doesn’t work out then it was just a 3rd.

The rumors of suicide are based on cryptic tweets/likes. I'm not sure it is that serious. I went through them and I don't think there is anything that bad in there. It's mostly stuff about wanting to be left alone.

Sounds like he may be an introvert that has trouble fitting in. One of his teammates was asked how they felt about him leaving and said “we’re not exactly shaken up about it.” And that he was a great player but just a weird/different guy. New environment will almost certainly be good for him initially. Long term who knows though.

Seeing Jags fans saying there appear to be some mental issues. All offseason he would post strange cryptic tweets, some even described as borderline suicidal. Urban had to go to his house to talk him into even showing up to training camp. Also some injury issues. Missed half of last year with a groin injury. Just missed this week with a groin injury. Even with all that they still hate the trade. Hopefully a change in environment will help and we do place high priority on mental health so that should help as well. He had been available for trade all offseason for a 2nd according to Jonathan Jones, but couldn’t find any takers which to me indicates the concerns were shared league wide because even a 2nd would be a steal for a top 10 pick just one year in.

Henderson has a nearly identical physical and athletic profile to Jaycee. Same height, weight, 40 time. Henderson very slightly lower on explosion. Fitt obviously has a prototype and now we have two of them. If Henderson works out this could be absolutely nasty.

While Lawrence has made quite a few bad and costly mistakes, he has at least made several big time throws in every game whereas the other guys just look lost right now. Very happy we got Darnold especially considering how little it cost.

Yeah I’m not sure what the problem is. I had the same question. I understand Sam declining to answer but is that really “owning” him?

Still seems crazy to me that he broke 3 bones on what appeared a nothing play. If it was 1 in a freak incident then I'd understand, but it being 3 makes me wonder if he wasn't stepped on on a prior play to weaken them or something then they just gave way on that play. A trip tp Green Bay to see the foot doctor is likely in his future.

We still suck in the red zone and short yardage which is partially on him and partially on the fact we might have the worst red zone and short yardage personnel in the NFL. We have no power back, the OL can’t get a push, no go up and get it WRs, no big reliable handed TE. I think he’s starting to realize we need to do some silliness at the goal line which is why we saw an end around to a freaking TE and a read option keeper with Darnold. I think he’s been pretty great between the 20s.

He receives less coverage because he has been injured a bunch and has played for crappy teams in a small market. He'll get plenty of coverage if we are contending.

Linderbaum is my current draft crush. Would love Neal but I feel like there is almost no chance we will be in a position to draft him. We should seriously just use every pick we have on OL and if just 2 pan out as good starters I'll consider it success. Just go full on shotgun style.

I think they can do a serviceable job replacing him offensively. It's replacing CMC's blocking that worries me the most.
