  1. Which is drafting for need. That is the opposite of what BPA is as a strategy.
  2. Not according to Gettleman. This is a direct quote from him, "We are going to draft the best guy. If we have 5 studs at one position and the best guy is at that position, I'm taking him. You can look at me like I've got brain damage, but I'm going to do it."
  3. Personally, I think his BPA only line is BS. I don't believe a single word the guy says especially after he tried to tell us Oher started at LT in the Super Bowl. However, if you're going strictly off what he says then yes he would draft 7 CB's. The sample size of his drafts isn't big enough yet to really determine if he is totally truthful about BPA. It could be purely coincidence that BPA and need have matched up really well the last two years or he could be full of crap. This upcoming draft should be really telling.
  4. Except that everything Gettleman has ever said implies that need is never taken into account and he has reinforced that implication several times.
  5. Practice reasons. Pulling a regular player away to long snap takes away from his game prep. Injury reasons. Having a regular player do it means he can much more easily get injured doing other stuff and losing your long snapper means you are screwed. Skill reasons. Apparently it's actually quite difficult to be really great that consistently at it so its specialized and requires constant practice.
  6. Every single team in the league has a specialized long snapper
