Well, he also said in that same press conference he doesn't even watch college players until after the combine.

It really depends who is available when we pick, but I'd definitely seriously consider it. If it were me and I did trade back to the 2nd round to pick up an extra 3rd, I would then be trying to move up with one of the 2nd's or 3rd's using our 4th, 5th and 6th round picks as ammo because at that point we'd have 10 picks and I'd be fine using only 8. The Pats are very unlikely to trade up, but I wouldn't put it past the Packers. They've done it before most notably to go up and get Clay Matthews although their biggest needs probably line up better with trading back than up.

I'd take that draft in a heartbeat if I was a Browns fan.

He managed to go a whole year without getting arrested or throwing a woman down a flight of stairs! What an accomplishment! I'm so impressed! Let's give him a guaranteed $8m contract!
-
They all replaced people we lost in free agency, were cut or "exempted." We didn't lose anyone at all of note this year except DeAngelo. The Roster isn't nearly as open this year. Unless there are major injuries that force someone to go on IR or PUP then I can't see more than 7 rookies making the team.

He was much better in coverage as a sophomore. Saban asked him to put on a bunch of weight for last year and he lost some movement. He played at 230 last year which is really closer to LB size. Kam Chancellor is one of the bigger SS in the NFL and he plays at 225 and he is 3 inches taller than Collins. I think if we draft Collins and have him lose 10-15 lbs he would be much better.

I flip flop on the two as to whom I think the 3rd best WR is. I like Agholor better as a player but ultimately I agree that the extra 3 inches Parker has and his vertical ability in the red zone makes a big difference and gives Parker a slight edge as a prospect. I really wouldn't be surprised at all though if Agholor ends up being the better player in the end because Parker does have some durability and laziness concerns. Nothing major but enough to plant the seed of doubt.

As they should. Beasley is going to be awesome. I really hope the Jags or Jets take him.
-
I actually think the Dolphins win the AFC East this year. I realize the fallacy in predicting success for free agency winners but what the hell. Pats are going 9-7 and I don't trust the Bills or Jets QB's.

He lacks stamina. It shows up on tape too. I think it's a result of him having a different body composition than most males. His body stores fat in his legs rather than his gut so everytime he moves he has to expend more energy lugging those big tree trunk legs around.

I don't think we'd take him until 57 or that he should be taken until then, but seriously some team is gonna go Al Davis and take him top 20. I notice you don't have Flowers as a 1st round possibility when before you have mentioned that we like him. Is the assumption that he is gone before our pick as most recent "informed" mocks seem to suggest or have we soured on him? I would be happy with pretty much any combination of the picks you have listed so nice work. I wouldn't even mind Funchess in the 3rd that much. Also, when is Gettleman's pre-draft press conference? I imagine that is coming up soon, right?

I posted this in another but it belongs here as well. We can't draft DGB. Not even because of moral reasons, but because what happened with Greg Hardy is going to be the new normal in the NFL. If he gets arrested for DV then he is going to go on the exempt list until the case is resolved in court which could be a whole season then he would get suspended for at least 6 more games on top of that. It's just not worth the risk to spend any high pick on someone with DV history anymore. One incident even if he is innocent could result in him missing an entire year. If this was a year ago when all that happened was a 2 game suspension then I probably would have said go for it, but not now. In the post-Ray Rice tape NFL, we should not and cannot risk wasting a draft pick on a DV risk regardless of how talented he is.

Teams that make sense according to the value chart are Patriots(32, 96), Packers(30, 94), Bears(39, 71), Giants(40, 74), Rams(41, 73), Vikings(45, 76) All of those are in the ballpark of the value of our pick with the picks coming back in parentheses. The Falcons fit too but I left them out since same division. In some cases a 6th or something may need to be tossed in from us or them but those would be the principle picks. Vikings would almost certainly have to throw in something else but I listed them due to their willingness to trade back into the 1st the last few years.

Teddy could really lobby for his old teammate to be drafted there, but I agree I don't think they go WR. They are really high on Charles Johnson(the WR) too. They want a corner but I think 11 is too early even for Waynes who I think belongs in the 20s rather than the teens so I think they are aggressive in trying to trade back some, but would take Waynes at 11 if they don't get a good offer they like.

Calvin was there under Chan Gailey. Paul Johnson came in a couple years later.
-
Calvin didn't play in the triple option at GT but his QB was Reggie Ball which might have been worse.
-
I have to assume those WR's would be Parker and Perriman. Have to think the Dolphins would like some size to use as a red zone threat to go with those smaller guys and I can't see Strong going that early. I still think it's Gurley if he's there then best ILB(McKinney, Kendricks, Perryman) or OG(Tomlinson or Cann) available in the 2nd for Miami

$4M per year is perfectly reasonable for Jennings and with a signing bonus it would have been easy to have the cap hits be $3M this year and $5M next year when the cap opens up a lot. As long as the second year salary isn't guaranteed it really wouldn't be painful to cut him after this year if he didn't produce. I think Miami got a pretty good deal for him.

Rand Getlin is legit

Probably takes a WR out of play for their 1st and 2nd round pick which is good for us and he won't be in New Orleans. Best non-Carolina option for him from our perspective.

You geniuses realize Peterson served a 6 game suspension without pay to end the year last year and that he was still suspended in the offseason until it was overturned on appeal, right? Stop trying to act like Hardy is getting a worse deal than him. Peterson plead out his charges in November then got suspended. Hardy elected to fight his.
-
The suspension doesn't start until Sept 5th so Hardy can participate in OTA's, mini camp, training camp and preseason games with the Cowboys.
