Panthers changes this week, what you need to know
Moorgan replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the majority of reports are that he partially tore his ACL. Which is what a sprain is. It's the severity of the year that is in question. Today's practice is critical in determining that for this week. -
Awesome work PhillyB. It's clear that every team is exploitable. It highlights the importance of adjustments and execution. Every military tactic has weaknesses and strengths. The opposition not only has to have the knowledge of that weakness (getting the plans to one wamp rat sized exhaust port) but they have to have the ability to exploit that weakness (the cojones to turn off a targeting computer) and a little luck (like a rapscallion smuggler entering the fray at the right moment). So I'm the words of Caesar: it's only hubris if I fail. And to Cam I say: you may fire when ready.

Spot on observation about exactly when and how the narrative about Cam changed. You could see the tide change during that non story. Also I'm not sure I agree with 4b) show up but the rest is all hitting the mark. Great job! -
I was going to comment on this. It looks like Madden had a tiniest player and a biggest player. It doesn't look real.

Inca Rising: the decline and fall of the new orleans saints

Fantastic write up. I reminded of this guy talking to the Saints: -
Yes. Yes you are. Pointy elbows and all those girls are down right beautiful.

People read those emails you send out? I kid. I kid. Because I love.

Evolution, Adaptation, and the Mike Shula Offense
Moorgan replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
The old adage of "If you aren't progressing, you are regressing" seems apropos. Certainly no one can deny the progress of the team over last year. Even more obvious is the amazing fact that they've done it with key injuries throughout the season. And while yes the evolution of the football mechanics, whether it be play calling, design, maturation, experience or what have you, the evolution of the locker room seems to me the most telling. I've not seen a team this together, this cohesive, this determined in my foggy memory. There is so much about this team that reminds of a well drilled and combat tested unit in the military. In fact, I think military analogies for this team are very appropriate with the state and team ties to the military. They remind me of a unit that has seen it all, believes in each other and recognizes their own strengths and weaknesses. In short, they seem to embody the motto Keep Pounding as well, if not better, than the 2003 Cardiac Cats. Even the Huddle and Roaring Riot have eclipsed the other fan bases. What a glorious time to be a Panthers fan...both on and off the field. Great job Philly...again. -

On the Slaying of Aaron Rodgers (and other football titans)

Atlas may shrug...very nice. -
For some reason I'm reminded of this: Can they win sure? It's not likely. I have no doubt that the team will come out angry as they search for that complete game.

Artistic Expressionism and the Death of the Colts

I'm reminded, for some reason, of the day my 2nd Divorce was finalized and I beheld, in all its glory and beauty, the words (forever etched in digital form) "Divorce Judgment". The jerking signature of the District Court Judge presiding and the cold, determined and final stamp "True Copy". Signed, this the 4th day of November, 2015. Brings a tear to my eye. Great job Philly. Great job. -
This picture is such a complicated story. Fantastic and compelling.

Can anyone explain that call against Olsen that couldn't hear it?

It bothers me that you aren't your profile pic. I think it makes me laugh harder at your posts so that you'll go out with me...and then I remember you're a guy. Sigh.

Panthers to wear Blue Pants? Here is what it may look like...
Moorgan replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't really decide if I like it or not. I'm leaning towards no but I could say that about a lot of college unis that I think are ridiculous. However, I've heard that players like crazy unis and there is truth to doing better if you feel you look good. Minor effect sure but it all gets rolled up into confidence. So if they like it, they can wear whatever they want. Just win and I'm smiling the whole way.
