In the closer to news category: La'el Collins' agent says his client is not meeting with NFL teams http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_28051838/lael-collins-agent-says-his-client-is-not-meeting-nfl-teams

In the not news category, unofficial Patriots poll, should they sign La'el: 82% yes so far.

Not trending yet

I just retweeted it to La'el
-
It increased our chances just under 10% from just about 3% if true. Who knows? But other teams see us as "in play" and I think that's the good point there. That's not really a "news" source. I'm taking every percentage point I can get.
-
actual "news" about him: http://vikingsterritory.com/2015/vt-news/lael-collins-starts-the-process-of-visiting-teams The Minnesota Vikings appear to be one of several teams interested in signing Collins. The Vikings, Panthers, Ravens, Bills, Eagles, Colts, Bucs, Cardinals, Rams, Dolphins and Lions appear to be the early front runners to land the talented offensive tackle.

Just realized, since we already have Kel-El at QB, we should be a lock to sign Ja'el...his brother from another mother?
-
I don't think the UDFA bonus is really a significant factor at play since we, or any other team, can fully guarantee his 3 year contract...at roughly $1.5M. So the $85K is largely irrelevant...in my opinion.
-
I read somewhere that he can't be extended until his 2nd year.
-
However, we - like every other team - can fully guarantee his 3 year contract which would get him something like $1.5M. So with that in mind, I think our ability to "max" the $85K signing bonus is irrelevant. It really comes down to where he wants to play and all of the factors that are important to him. We do seem to be near the top considerations given our whole situation. We shall see. If I were him, I would NOT want to miss rookie camp this friday and would make a decision by Thursday morning. But that's just me...and in case you guys didn't know...I don't play in the NFL. Although to be fair, Desmond Howard only beat me out by 2,077 votes for the Heisman in 1991. I was THAT close.

I'm surprised DR. Leeroy Jenkins didn't jump all over thiese comments.

...at least I have chicken.

You seemed nothing like my drunk smoking buddy at the draft party in that interview. Seriously though, knocked it out of the park. I'm motivated to start this Fight Club in Baltimore and send all the Maryland money to Charlotte. That's what this is right? Your underwear gnome plan? Step 1...create Roaring Riot website Step 2...do stuff Step 3...profit I'm all in! Charm City Riot baby!

Ex-LSU star La'el Collins meets with police, answers all questions, ready to get football career back on track, attorney says http://theadvocate.com/news/12279868-125/ex-lsu-star-lael-collins-meets Nothing from the cops yet. So take it for what it's worth.

Trai retweeted this yesterday... https://twitter.com/mechazain/status/594679742462320640

If it's hot, that's a bad choice.

To be fair, she's probably closer to 140.

I recognize that most of this discussion isn't about what I said, but for the record, when I was saying that I see KB as a #2, I'm saying that there is where I see his eventual role. Not where he played last year and not the level of production he had. Simply where I "feel" he would play best. But as always, my own biases are involved in that and I can't really put words to why I "feel" like he's a better #2 than #1. Maybe it has to do with watching Smitty as a #1 for so long that that has become the kind of receiver I think should be a #1. I don't know.
-
Didn't he die in the beginning of Alien 3 or maybe they alluded to it in Alien 3? He definitely made it through Aliens but I think techinically he did die in Alien3. Maybe in the beginning when they showed the other cryo chambers with alien holes in them. Like Hicks had an alien growing in him when they went into cryosleep or something like that.
-
I disagree with most of this but I will say this...I do view KB as a potential All Pro #2. It could be my inherent prejudice about what makes a #1 vice #2 but I see KB as the guy who takes advantage of the defense having to double the other WR. I could easily be wrong but I just see KB as an amazing #2.

Hudson was the best though. "Game over man" "Why don't you put her in charge?!" And many more
-
Don't they have bars at field level where you can kind of sit in a "cafe" area at a table and watch the game at Dallas? That would be fun. No idea how much those are...or what the view is. Someday I'll go to that stadium...but doesn't everyone just watch the giant TV there anyways?
-
Probably won 'em both too. Guy is likely a stud. Must be why he no longer plays in Cleveland. Whoever he is we should probably take a look at him. Might be worth having a solid back up.
-
As a back up maybe?

I agree with Mr Scot, that is a pretty damn good draft. Although I understand the desire to just get 1 QB that works out...just one! Sure would suck to be a Browns fan.
