Keep up the good work man. I for one appreciate it.

I would too. He's who I think we will get not who I want necessarily. When I said my pick I meant it as my prediction. I honestly don't know enough to know which possible Free Agent would be better. I think the draft would be a nice fill in at #2.

He's my pick for who we actually sign (big name type guy). We shall see.
-
And we play them this year.

It seems like we could get a huge talent cheaply BC of his injuries. Sure the question mark is there but it's like a low risk high reward. Assuming the money bears that out.

Having gone to the The U, that was one of my favorite years as a panther fan. I loved Shockey and Olsen together. Sorry just had to reminisce.

I think we should take a long hard look at him. He's still got life if he can recover and TD has shown that's possible.
-
Didn't they do that last year too? I remember a story where he was getting on a plane to head to AZ with the Cardinals and he was saying goodbye to his family at the airport and everyone was crying and he decided right then and there to say fug it and stay with Pittsburgh and accept the lesser offer or something like that. Or it may have been a drug induced dream about the beard. I don't know.

The more I thought about it the more I can't do it. Olsen was the 31st overall pick and we traded a 3rd RD for him (granted that was a bit of a steal). And Gipson was an UDFA. Don't think I could hack off on a 2nd rd this year with the draft as deep as it is. Although maybe that would be exactly why you would want to do it because you will still get value in the later rounds. Good god I'm glad I'm not a GM.

It's been beat to death but I'd love him for a price DG was willing to pay. I'm generally in favor of bringing former U players onto the squad. Olsen was a freshman the year after AJ left though so it's not like they played together in college.
-
Hmmmmm I don't know what to make of that. I think 2nd round might be a touch too rich but it's intriguing enough to make me think about it.
-
Why would he want to boot the pie?
-
Of course I want him but that's like saying I want to be Batman. Who doesn't want to be Batman? I just need to get that billionaire playboy thing down, become friends with Morgan Freeman to give me all the gadgets and pick a blue flower from a Nepalese mountain or something...about as much chance as signing Revis. But it would be nice.

Well there's nothing left to do in house right? Except maybe Dwan. So anything else from the Panthers will have to be tomorrow afternoon at the earliest right? Unless of course we get someone who has been released already. So I'm not expecting any new news until tomorrow (and maybe not then). But the whole thing is pretty exciting in an offseason kind of way.

this. I think we are good based on the deals we closed. What conversations we had with others? Who knows?

Ted Ginn Jr agrees to 2 year deal with Panthers

Bersin "might" develop into a Cole Beasely type guy...or it could be hair color that they share...not sure which. -

Unless that's not what you were talking about. [emoji16] -

Yeah but Ginn was released by AZ, which means he can sign before FA. -
Taylor Mays. I like him. We should sign him.
-
i think we should look at Taylor Mays. He was stuck behind a starting safety because he's a tweener...and was at USC. He's a perfect fit for us since we play so many 2 LB sets. He's a guy I've had my eye on and would love to scoop up. Great fit for our scheme.

Derrick Morgan hints at meeting with the Panthers
Moorgan replied to Sam Mills Fan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think that's snapchat pic is proof that he's been signed for vet minimum. -
I have no problem bringing Bell back as a backup. RR starting him concerns aside.

I thought the offseason was about hope. What is the benefit personally of hating a move? You get to be the first person to say it's awful? Who cares. It seems to me the healthier perspective is to look at the potential upside and be hopeful. To instantly look at the negative gains you nothing more than absurd bragging rights. If the idea is that you genuinely hate the signing and want to educate the fans as to why then try being more educational and less salty. Tone goes a long way.

Vet min is like a montra around here. Makes no sense. I'm sure it's a good deal and allows another component of BPA.

So much this. Well said and succinctly which I'm not capable of.
