  1. Wait what? Damn. Next you're gonna tell me my Russian bride isn't on her way to love me forever? what in the actual fug?
  2. Signed up and deposit sent. Thanks.
  3. That doesn't seem like how it works and my taxes are done already. But I'm still down for stocking the bus.
  4. And no 8am is not early. It's Friday somewhere right?
  5. I'm in for all of it. Where and how do I send the money?
  6. So I never clicked on this thread until now. Sounds like something I would do. Is there a pool side spot left? If so, where and how do I send money? And I'm in Baltimore so there's a bus leaving from Charlotte? Or do I need to get all the way there myself?
  7. There was talk about this another thread and it was explained to me that they most likely assign a grade to every player (like a rd scoring-1st rd talent, etc) and group them all by position. Then try to break any ties within each position grouping. That way both BPA and need can come into it. It's the 2nd rd and there are only 3 1st rd graded guys left? 1 is a QB and two are WRs? Which WRS do we have higher? Take that guy. Or something like that. Made sense to me anyways even though I may have buggered explaining it here.
  8. Yes and no. His job was to evaluate the players vs their worth. The fact they signed big ones shows that he was able to say they are worth that money. And now he gets to make that decision.
  9. The point is, it's not like DG has some sort of aversion to spending money on people. He has never had the money to do so since being here. Some people act like he doesn't want to vice he can't. He has a history of identifying big name talent that will help the team. And when the team is financially in a position to spend that money, there's no reason to think he won't since he advocated the signing of every big name free agent in the above list. Relax everyone.
  10. What was the name of the Giants pro talent evaluator that literally signed all 3 of those big name free agents? I forget.
  11. I agree the club doesn't want for the market to be set by those two but as you say it won't drastically change the market...I assume. But we also couldn't sign him now unless the first yr of the new contract was less than this year. But next year nine of those problems exist. So signing him next year makes the most sense for both sides. And while I agree w Ace Boogie that Cam wants to win and establish his brand, I am very confident that it would be here. The Panthers are trending up and Cam is aware of how the cap situation only gets better.
  12. Wow! Haven't even thought about that song since high school. Nice.
  13. I honestly don't think they've offered him anything yet. I think both sides know that the cap next year will allow us to make a market offer and Cam is fine with that. On top of that, Cam (and his agent) want to see if Wilson and Luck can set the market to allow Cam to know what a market value is. I see no logical reason Cam will sign at all this year. Mr Scot points out that we could go franchise tag in order to force Wilson and Luck to set the market and Cam may want that. I'm not sure but that's a possibility.
  14. I'm sure there are worse #5 WRs on the bottom of other rosters. He will come in this yr and compete. If he makes it good for him (perhaps he will have turned a corner). If not then it means we've upgraded over a known commodity both good and bad. I think we will get 1 WR somewhere in the draft and maybe an UDFA or late FA pick up. So the competition up and down the WR Corps will be there. Those that come out of it, I trust, will be our best look going into the season.
  15. I check here first because anything Panther related will be here before anywhere else. Since nothing really happened I'll go to Twitter now.
  16. Too bad. I didn't know that about him. I remembered liking him at USC back when they were good with Pete Carrol but that's about it. Maybe he can play LT?
  17. What's your thoughts on Taylor Mays from CIN? I know he's a tweener LB/S and that has kinda hurt him by being stuck on the bench at CIN. I liked him coming out of USC a few years ago but then never heard from him again. According to what I could find on CIN message boards the fans like him but then again they usually like the guy that isn't playing. Plus I noticed he's not in that top 50 list up there which could mean he'd be cheap. But he has garnered some interest so who knows?
  18. I agree with a lot of what has been said in this thread. Very rational. Very pragmatic. I think the biggest thing I'm thinking about now is depth. Specifically in the secondary. I like Norman, Bene and Boston. Harper is meh but what can you do? But it's who is behind them that has me a little worried. We just signed that CB so there's that. I don't know anything about him. But even as I write this I'm sure most teams have this issue. I've been looking at Taylor Mays (the tweener LB/S from CIN) and hoping we pick him up on the sly for peanuts. (But I recognize that's unlikely) Initial reports from Pro Football Talk suggested that Mays could have upwards of five suitors -- including the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams and Washington Redskins. I guess I'm not really concerned about depth but I need something to worry about. It's March.
  19. Ummm that's good I guess. Don't know who he is so ok. Diamond in the rough? I'm cool with it.
  20. I'm good with this. And so is Star and Short I'm guessing.
  21. That is strange. His number look pretty good. Wouldn't mind if the Panthers gave him a look.
  22. I'm fine with this. His confidence gives me a little more confidence and in the end Gettle gonna Gettle.
