Agreed. I think I even saw reports that he is in Dallas TODAY. I guess they are going with the whole it's not on campus or at his residence thing. I don't think Dallas is seriously in the mix though because he likely wouldn't start at LT or RT. But I do hope he makes a quick decision to come to Carolina so he get into training sooner rather than later. I don't know. I just have a gut feeling that he will choose CAR. It's likely just that second cup of coffee though.

The same report also said that he passed a polygraph given by the police. I know I was reacting to that more than the paternity test results. To me, if he passed a police polygraph (while inadmissable in court I know) it means he is done with the investigation and has been completely exonerated from any involvement. Which means he is free to play football with a clear conscience. Paternity, to me, was largely irrelevant.

Bump for awareness. I already have some money in the account. I figure if the players completely ignore this ridiculous project we can give the money to one of the Panthers players charities. Or Jimmy V foundation. Or we can vote as a group. To re-emphasize...all this money goes to a charity of some type.

I probably shouldn't do this after I've had a drink. Oh well.

Not sure how to set up a go fund me but I'll look at it.

I like the charity either way. I just tweeted this. https://twitter.com/cptmoorgan/status/596156620171685889

Absolutely. I'm thinking we should get a retweet from Trai first. Doubt he sees it.

I personally think he's coming here quickly.

I'm glad you said it in both threads. Regardless of this instance...think of the ramifications. I love this idea of fan induced chaos into the process.

This is a potentially dangerous idea EDIT: I love it

The timing is rightish. But families generally know fug all about relationships.

This thought is tantamount to saying it's ok to cheat only if you don't NEED to cheat.

So important it's worth saying twice.

I thought we did BEFORE the draft but I could be wrong. There's nothing since.
-
It's that whole "wrong" and "under the table" thing that might not work out.

Well...I'm losing faith in that story. No one else has reported it yet, the story is vague and without naming specifics. And I am redundant. Anyways, we shall see. Someone else, anyone else, should've picked it up by now if it were true. I think it may just be crappy journalism.
-
I agree. The article is the ONLY news that says he is cleared. Now granted, with Shady and now Deflategate, today's story is elsewhere but this should be picked up by someone else.

Was just going to post this. I think we are in the thick of it and while DG did say there were only 4 or 5 LTs in the draft he didn't say what rd value he had them at. I watched the presser live and noticed that. He may have had 2 or 3 with 1st rd grades and 1 or 2 with lower rd grades. I would think, with our situation, that you sign him and tell him you are competing for the starting Tackle position and see what happens in camp.

That's not 100% clear. But what is clear is that the NFL sent out a message to stay away from "teams" (not sure what that really means) until after 9 May. So all of this meeting with him stuff will be dead until 10 May I suspect.
-
I actually think we have the best shot to get him. There seem to be maybe 5 teams or so that are in the real running for him. I honestly believe that we put HIM in the best position for him and his future. Play him at LT (which is what he wants). Start him likely (which is what he wants). Already expressed specific interest in playing with his buddy Trai who hyped him up to play. Play on an up and coming team that is poised to do some winning and elevate his profile as his "addition" to the team would coincide with the line playing better (regardless of his actual impact) and the team playing well and winning. Most teams want him as a guard (miami and NO). Most teams won't start him at tackle. I'm not saying it's a lock or anything but I really like our chances.

After May 9th (when LSU finishes finals) teams will be in full frenzy mode but he may have already selected a team or narrowed it down to a few. He can meet with those teams after 9 May.
