Not that it matters and this is a discussion from before but you're saying Brady got 2 for cheating/conspiring and 2 for not cooperating?
-
Hardy got 6 for Domestic Violence policy and 4 for not cooperating. That's his 10. It seems Brady just got 4 for not cooperating. That's how I see it anyways.
-
You don't have to be bent out of shape about it to have an opinion and discuss it with others. But you're right. And I would go one step further...Life is mostly grown people getting bent out of shape about drama. No different with football.

I know it's splitting hairs but here are the quotes from the official statement on NFL.com (which I can't link to for some reason): ok for some reason I can't cut and paste anything at all. Anyways, I read the statement and the letter to Brady. I think it could be read both ways. I think their wording is careful and deliberate. But I can also see how it could be read to say that they are calling him a cheater...or at least "generally aware" of the cheating. But they didn't accuse of him of actual involvement (actions). They were very specific to talk about his knowledge and his awareness. The only actions they actually say he did or didn't do was not cooperating (handing over phone) and by providing contradictory testimony (lying). But they fall short of accusing him of any action or direction. Just that he knew or was aware. It's nitpicking I know. And it doesn't change my personal opinion of him. I'm simply doing the mental dance of making an argument.

No I think they are saying that the Patriots cheated and they have been disciplined accordingly. I think they are also saying that Tom probably knew about it and was involved but they acknowledge no proof...just a preponderance of circumstantial evidence. What they are suspending him for is the not cooperating. 4 games. Consistent. At least that's my take. I don't know what letter you are referring to though.

It seems like the NFL is NOT calling Brady a cheater. I think the message that the 4 games sends is that he did not cooperate...giving the potential perception that there were misdeeds and knowing about it. So while we, the public, call Tom Terrific a cheater, I think the league is just saying "We suspend you for 4 games because we had an investigation, you refused to cooperate with it and have caused the NFL to potentially look bad." It doesn't seem like he was suspended at all for the actual act or involvement. The organization on the other hand was punished for the actions of it's employees. So it can be debated about how much Tom knew and whether or not he had any involvement. It can be debated because there is no direct proof. Only circumstantial evidence. But what cannot be debated...is that Tom didn't cooperate with the NFL. So they suspended 4 games for that. Which is consistent with what Hardy got for not cooperating. In the end, I'd say the NFL got it right. The Panthers, Vikings and Chargers are being brought up a lot recently because of warming balls and sticky towels or something like that. I'm not sure about what went on with the Chargers but I think the fundamental difference with the Vikings and the Panthers was that it was out in the open. There was no conspiracy to break the rules. Both teams had the same reaction to the elements and then were told not to do that and both stopped. There was no premeditation to knowingly break the rules and I think that intent is important. If one wanted to argue that the rules were broken and cheating is cheating (like a player "unknowingly taking a banned substance from his Flintstone vitamins) then I guess I couldn't argue against that. But I would argue that the punishment would be much less severe.

While similar, these aren't Ranger panties. I know I'm nitpicking but these are Marine PT Shorts. I don't know what they call them. Maybe they also call them Ranger panties but I doubt that. Ranger panties are exclusively black. Unless you were using the term like some people use Coke to refer to all sodas.

if I remember right, BOTH the panthers and the Vikings were doing it and both teams were warned to stop during the game. And both stopped. While this is brought up often in this discussion, I see it more as an infraction vs a deliberate pattern of circumnavigating the rules. In short, I reject that we are tiptoeing or close to the same thing.

I can't. No words. Finding it hard to breathe. Losing strength. Elf needs food badly.

I would argue that the 2 guys that did all this, McNally and the other guy, are a part of the organization. Therefore the organization is responsible. The entire organization doesn't have to be "in" on it for the organization to have cheated. I think the 4 games is a touch light. But meh. I've said before he should get 6. The money is a token and irrelevant. The draft picks are harsh and stronger than I thought. Don't get me wrong, I like them getting punished and felt they should lose some picks. But a 1 and a 4 tells me the league was upset by this and felt pressure from the public. They made a statement with this punishment. Teams are on notice. Don't even come close to messing with the rules.

There's only 1 pocket that gets the girls. The one with your wallet. Unless of course that bulge isn't from money but instead from receipts and random nonsense. If that's the case, you may also be wearing black socks and sandals.

I'd imagine that its standard attire for beachy areas. Not enough pockets for me to wear often.

I have two pairs of board shorts that have a wax comb combo bottle opener attached with a lanyard. But those are for swimming.

Oh and I wear cargo shorts all the time and tactical pants I wear everyday to work. Crye Precision based out of Brooklyn makes the best tactical pants...hands down. Expensive but worth it. Trust me.

Divorce blows...but you got season tickets bro. Life is ok. I'm going through a divorce now too. Old adage: know why divorces are so expensive? Because they are worth it.

Sources say Brady suspension coming next week
Moorgan replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
His suspension was 10 games from the perspective of the NFL. Which is the only perspective that counts in this discussion. -

I think 6 games is fair. 2 for the balls and 4 for not cooperating. Hardy got 6 for DV and 4 for not cooperating. So 6 seems fair. Couldn't really knock any off on appeal unless Hardy gets some knocked off on appeal. The only thing Hardy can argue against is the 4 since the 6 are a policy. So while 2 for the balls is not a policy, you can't have zero games for the balls. If Hardy gets the 4 for not cooperating down to 2, Brady will too. Making Brady 4 at the least. That's how I see it playing out anyways. -

Right on. I agree. And the slot in my scenario is the Y receiver...just so others know. I don't maybe some have heard those terms X, Y and Z receivers and didn't know what they were. And I think you're right. Funchess can play slot probably very well with his experience. Excited to watch this all play out.

“I don’t know what happened,” Dantzler told the Times-Union’s Hays Carlyon. “I just was kicking back and punched him and then he just fell down. I feel terrible. He’s a good player. I feel like [expletive]. I’m getting killed on Twitter.” http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2458414-dante-fowler-jr-injury-updates-on-jaguars-des-knee-and-return Dantzler also added, per DiRocco, "I went to apologize to him and he was like, ‘You’re good, man. It’s just football." That's obviously not the way the Jaguars wanted to start rookie minicamp. Many viewed Fowler as one of the top pass-rushing prospects in the class and expected him to immediately assume a large role at defensive end. Now, his status is already a question mark. Jacksonville will hope it's nothing more than a brief scare. All it can do now is wait for further information about the extent of the ailment.
