  1. It's the military. I feel more comfortable seeing everything in front of me but it isn't debilitating.
  2. Toilet paper roll over the top but I won't go out of my way to change it. It's just how I install new ones. Try to never sit with my back to the door at a restaurant or bar or anywhere for that matter. But if it doesn't work out I'll get over it. Definitely try to take all the bags in at once putting a random finger at risk off loss of blood. Try to do everything in the most efficient manner possible. Applies to almost everything. Economy of movement. I'm not always successful but I've noticed me planning out how I'm physically going to make dinner in my head as I'm doing it. Makes me laugh when I notice it. Other than that, most things don't bother me. Oh yeah, when I see numbers on a digital clock that are in sequence (12:34) or are repeating (3:33; 10:10) I knock on wood. If wood is not within arms reach I knock on my head. That one is ridiculous and I have no explanation for that.
  3. That was a special kind of dumb. I couldn't watch more than a 3rd of it.
  4. I like the Washington Generals thing. They should go with that and be done with it. It's a silly thing to hold on to. It's clearly offensive because its general in nature. Those that speak to specific tribes, let the tribe decide if it's offensive. But Redskins...clearly offensive.
  5. that sounds doctrinal and not what most practice. I would agree that's what Christians are supposed to do but that kind of humility is rare. Even more rare in a superstar. His humility comes off as disingenuous to me. The Golden Calf of Bristol comes off as real to me but is just not an NFL QB. So it's not that he's a vocal Christian that turns me off of RW. It's that I don't believe him. I could be wrong and he could be the real deal in his heart. But saying that God told him to lead her? That just comes off a bit...tacky.
  6. I always viewed a Native American warrior as a fine mascot. To me they embody the spirit of a warrior in ferocity, tenacity and will. That being said, it's the name not the mascot that's in question here. And it should go. It's clearly a racial slur. I hate FSU but their whole warrior riding a horse with a flaming spear is bad ass. But they have the benefit of being named after a specific tribe who support the school...after being paid off but whatever. But Redskins? Nah. It should go.
  7. Between Amazon Prime and Netflix, you can watch pretty much whatever you want for almost $17 a month. I've been on board for quite some time considering I remember renting at Blockbuster for like $5 a piece.
  8. BMW is still the best car I've ever owned. Just got too expensive for me to maintain. It actually made driving fun again.
  9. right. The curiosity is that why they aren't his defenders too.
  10. The Golden Calf of Bristol was a phony QB.
  11. What you're saying is obvious. If our best athletes played soccer their whole lives they'd be dominant. I'm not sure anyone can resist that argument .
  12. exactly. The point is that it sounds arrogant. His arrogance is what is at the center of his unikeableness.
  13. To sum up, Christians think there poo don't stink, RW is yet another one that thinks his faith has some bearing on the outcome of a game . If I were religious that would seem more resentful. His arrogance is dis likable,
  14. To be honest, I was never much of a soccer guy. I never played it growing up. I tried watching the men's several years back but I was so put off by the flopping and the stalling that I didn't like it. Then I watched the Women's US v Canada game in the last world cup 4 years ago and was extremely entertained. I'll watch them again anytime they are on like I did this for this world cup. I enjoy it. But this is the first sport where the women's game brought me to the sport instead of the men's game. While I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a soccer fan just yet...I can see me becoming one. It seems they are trying to clean up the flopping in all sports and the US teams seem to be more aggressive from what little I've seen. It's a growing sport in the US and I'm growing with it.
  15. I read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Phillip K Dick last year. Really enjoyed it and it was a quick read. Loved the movie Bladerunner but had never gotten around to reading the book. The book was great and shows how amazing the movie was in it's adaptation.
  16. it takes a minute to get it. I didn't like it at first either. But I realized it was because of my expectations. Then I tried to get what they were doing. Once I got it...there's nothing better. They do it like no one else does...and it's brilliant. I actually laugh in the car listening to them. It's a joy.
  17. I'd say Dan LeBatard is the current genius of radio. That show is pure entertainment...to the point that they have cracked the code on how to do sports radio that isn't the same thing as every other sports radio show.
  18. That's an honest look. They do seem improved but their offensive line is still a question mark. I remember hearing clamorings for Coleman. He could be a nice player. They could be tough but I still like our chances with our defense. But I always predict an even split with the division just because rivalries.
  19. I don't think that last complement can undue the pain they feel from that slap across the face in the previous sentence. Ouch.
  20. Sexual innuendo is what you're saying? I get it but since they've had Finger Licking Good forever I didn't make the sexual link. I figured it might've been some affront to southern culinary tradition or something...aside from the fact that it looks gross.
